“She may have left the industry, but I can tell you that 9 out of 10 of the current popular CVs within the industry had all been supported or helped by her in one way or another before. When Mo Xiaoqing asked her to be her mentor, Bie Zhi agreed. Bie Zhi was already planning to do commercialized voiceovers and had accepted a television drama job. She trusted Mo Xiaoqing, but Mo Xiaoqing abused that trust and damaged Bie Zhi’s vocals while she went for voiceover tryouts. This ended with Mo Xiaoqing replacing Bie Zhi and taking over her commercial voiceover work. Not long after, Bie Zhi left the industry. Even though Bie Zhi hasn’t nothing, we suspect that it has something to do with that day. She might be heartbroken after being betrayed by her disciple or sad because she hurt her vocals, but it definitely has something to do with Mo Xiaoqing.”

Lonely Sail Distant Shadow was also widely worshipped within the industry. He had far more fans that Mo Xiaoqing did, and had a huge following as he was a male CV.

Fans came to his support the moment he voiced out on the issue. Soon enough, they began criticizing Mo Xiaoqing too.

“She doesn’t need to destroy someone else’s living just for the sake of moving up the ladder. How could she damage her own mentor’s voice? She is so terrible for ending another’s livelihood.”

“This was such a big story back then. I had followed the issue then as well. What I didn’t expect was for Sweet Wasabi to actually be Mo Xiaoqing. No wonder Sweet Wasabi disappeared after the story blew up. I thought she had retired from the voiceover industry. No one would have thought she was still within the industry doing commercial voiceover work. Why bother pretending to be a pure white lotus with such a character?! Goodbye.”

Jiu Meier, “I work in management in Fan Hua Sings. I have always felt a great sense of injustice about what happened back then, and had even kept a photo of the situation. I wanted to post it for everyone to know, but Bie Zhi stopped me. She said that Mo Xiaoqing was her disciple and that she was planning on retiring from the industry anyway. Thus, there was no need to escalate the matter and to end things there. She’ll just never see Mo Xiaoqing again. I’ve always felt angry about it as Bie Zhi is such a good person, so how could I allow that bitch to get away with it so easily? It’s not easy for a rookie to get a mentor. Most would only be accepted as a disciple if they had strong contacts. Mentors would only take up disciples because of their friendship or respect for another party. Mo Xiaoqing came into the industry as a newbie without any background or connections. She cycled through a large number of popular voiceover actors only to find that no one was willing to take her. Bie Zhi knew that it was not easy for a young girl to make it on her own and took her under her wing, yet, in the end, she betrayed Bie Zhi. I’ve saved the chats between her and Bie Zhi that show how much Mo Xiaoqing did to get into Bie Zhi’s good books as she won her over with sweet words. It’s so disgustingly sweet that it would induce anyone to throw up upon reading it. Yet, in the end, she caused Bie Zhi to leave the industry and turned into a whole other person the moment things changed. She started boasting and formed a high opinion of herself in the agency. I won’t say much more though, as everyone can just look at her posts. Mo Xiaoqing’s old account of Sweet Wasabi is still around. Here is the link to it. Everyone can see for yourself what they have in common.”

Later, everyone within the industry, including top voiceover actors and unknown ones still working their way up, shared the post. Many of these top voiceover actors were newbies when the tragedy happened but were still aware of what had happened. Therefore, they too contributed the evidence they had on hand as well.

“Mo Xiaoqing has deleted all the content in her Sweet Wasabi account, but luckily I was quick to copy the posts. They included selfies, clothes, hand gestures, and backgrounds that had previously appeared in Mo Xiaoqing’s Weibo. Everyone can judge for themselves whether or not the previous claims were true or false,” a netizen said as he shared a post.

The situation gradually blew up, causing more and more scandals revolving around Mo Xiaoqing to be revealed. Someone had even registered a new account to comment, “None of you need to find out who I am I as I’d still like to continue working within the industry. It’s well-known within the industry that Mo Xiaoqing sleeps with the voice directors to get the characters she wants to do voiceover work for. Everyone knows about it as it’s no secret. She is considered quite the character in the industry. There are few who would be as willing as her to give her body just for a few sentences of voiceover work. Mo Xiaoqing was perfectly described by her friend: she loves this job so much – none of you know how much hard work she puts into it!”

Many started to add their stories to this.

There were pictures of her in a corset which clearly showed her face. They were all pictures of Mo Xiaoqing conducting her immoral dealings.

Even Mo Xiaoqing’s fans were no longer able to continue defending her. Thus, only Mo Xiaoqing’s assistant and a few others were left supporting her. As for the others, they all remained quiet.

Even her so-called friend had disappeared.

Half an hour later, a member of a well-known hacker’s organization with the ID of Go With The Flow posted a piece of evidence that revealed that Mo Xiaoqing’s so-called friend was none other than Mo Xiaoqing herself.

Go With The Flow, “This lady is really smart. It’s a pity such a smart lady was not given the chance to be born into the palace during the olden days.”

Go With The Flow was quite renowned for being the main person within the organization back during the holy war a few years ago. Go With The Flow was also the backbone of the organization and had made a huge name for himself back then.

This was why even after so many years, there were still many who recognized him.

“Even President Flow has appeared! It suddenly feels like Mo Xiaoqing has gotten herself into big trouble!”

“Go With The Flow? Can someone give me an update as to who this great idol is?’

“Fuck, the suspense is all gone now that President Flow is here to provide strong evidence.”

“President Flow is the greatest, he speaks the truth!”

“It’s been such a long time since I’ve seen President Flow appear. I want to confess my love for my idol!”

This threw Mo Xiaoqing’s fans totally off balance. All of them were inconsolable and could only cry at their defeat.

There were fans who said, “No matter the evidence, shouldn’t you say something, Mo Xiaoqing? If what they say is false, then stand up to face them. If the stories are true, then you should say something to us. You’re leaving your fans behind to fight for you at the frontlines while you choose to stay quiet. What are we to do? How are we to continue standing up for you?”

Within minutes, this fan had hundreds of comments appearing under her post.

“She can’t say a word because this must all be the truth. She’s just pretending not to see a thing!”

“These are all hard evidence, so how can she rebuke any of it? She’s a coward if she doesn’t issue an apology.”

“I feel for Mo Xiaoqing’s fans. She’s using them as ammo, but now that something has happened, she goes into hiding without saying a word.”

“Leave her fan group, little sister. Being a fan of such a despicable person will only turn you into a joke.”

Night soon fell, and even as Xu Moyan prepared to go to bed, Mo Xiaoqing had still not appeared. It was as if she had completely disappeared from the online world.

Of course, Xu Moyan was aware that Mo Xiaoqing was still lurking about online. There was no way she was unaware that so many things had happened online.

Xu Moyan did not really understand it. It was just a minor character voiceover. Why would she spend so much effort to manipulate the situation, as if she was living in the palaces of the olden days, fighting for a spot high up the hierarchy?

She did not really understand what was going on in Mo Xiaoqing’s head. If she got the voiceover job, then it would be due to her own good fortune. If she did not get it, then there was no need to force things. When Xu Moyan had started uploading food videos to Weibo, it was not about following the trend, nor did she plann on becoming popular online.

It was purely because she enjoyed cooking and wanted to share the process with netizens who shared the same hobby. It could be because of Xu Moyan not harboring any thoughts of fame or monetary success for her videos that she followed her own pace and style in creating the videos. This in turn helped create a unique selling point to made her stand out among the rest. It gave netizens a deep impression of her, which allowed her to slowly accumulate fans. However, she maintained the same pace and attitude as when she had only just started with the videos. She was in no hurry to post videos and did not expect anything in return. She simply followed her own pace in maintaining her Weibo account.

Xu Moyan knew that she would never fight with anyone for anything, except for Wei Zilin. To put it bluntly, she was not really competitive.

When she was still school, she spent a lot of time studying hard but had never emphasized her position in class. When Xu Moyan graduated and started seeking a job, she did so with a casual attitude.

When she started working, she was really calculative when considering the task assigned within the company and her colleagues, as long as nothing was over the line.

However, when it came to Wei Zilin, if someone wanted to steal him away from her, she would immediately turn into bare her fangs.

The next day, they had breakfast at home with Xu Qingrui and Li Lanying. It comprised of the second half of the snack they did not finish the day before.

After breakfast, they stayed home to chat with Xu Qingrui and Li Lanying before leaving for the train station after lunch.

Even though she did not want them to go, Li Lanying was also worried that they would be too tired if they reached B City too late. This was why she pushed them to leave earlier.

When they reached B City and walked out of the train station, it was only 4 pm.

Wei Zilin got a taxi and returned to Wei Yang Garden with Xu Moyan. However, since Wei Zilin had been outstation and was not at home, and Xu Moyan had not been staying there either, the fridge was empty. No one had replenished it up until this point, so Aunt Liu took the trouble to head to the supermarket for some grocery shopping and filled the fridge to the brim with food.

When they got home, it was already 5.30 pm.

Xu Moyan was now very comfortable in Wei Yang Garden, as if it were her home. When she walked through the doors, she felt a little lazy and did not feel like moving. Thus, she immediately headed toward the sofa to lie down.

Wei Zilin followed behind her. He placed the luggage down and walked toward where she was seated.

Xu Moyan immediately sat up when she saw him whilst Wei Zilin sat down at the spot where she had previously been lying down. He patted his long legs as his other hand gently reached across to grab her shoulders before pulling her down so that she could lie down on his thigh.

His thigh was thin but was not really stick-like as it was still firm and was very muscular. This made lying down on his thigh a little uncomfortable. As a result, Xu Moyan kept shifting about in order to try to find the most comfortable location and position. Eventually, she found the perfect spot and exhaled lazily.

“Are you very tired?” Wei Zilin pushed her hair aside to reveal her fair, delicate face. Her expression revealed that she was a little tired.

Xu Moyan nodded. She was lying on his thigh as she looked directly up at him. His clean, clear face created a sense of comfort in her heart.

Some of his hair fell forward and covered his forehead, creating a faint shadow around the top of his face. It made his nose look straighter, darker and better-looking. His eyes were also covered by the shadow of his hair, making it difficult to tell what he was thinking.
