The Primordial Record-Chapter 2139: The Chains of End
A Necroflore, one of the corrupted children of Vorthas, the Primordial of life, roared in anguish as its body, which was a mixture of trees and flesh, fell under the bombardments of hundreds of Primordials.
Its vast branches that resembled interlocking arms trembled as large pieces of it were shattered under a rain of light so sharp they could tear through realities, and its massive eyes opened wide in shock and anger as it was inevitably ground to pieces... its death was particularly painful and horrible when the nature of how a Primordial perceived time and felt pain was placed into the picture.
To an average immortal, it took a few seconds for this Necroflore to perish, but in its perception, it was being butchered over Eons, and all of its physical wounds were a representation of foreign Origin Forces entering its core and stripping it to pieces.
At the moment, the defenders of the Origin Realms were left to the Primordials alone as they blasted every Primordial Abomination that fell through the cracks.
Thousands of Primordial abominations fell in the next few moments, Soulwraiths, Chronophages, Memorivores, Necroflores, all at the Primordial level, were crushed under the weight of the Origin Realms, and the relentless bombardment from the Primordials within, their screams of anguish and anger resounding through space and time.
However, the attacking Primordials of the Origin Realm did not feel any sense of victory from killing so many Primordials due to the fact that a black crystal was growing in the air, absorbing the deaths of all the dead Primordial abominations.
And yet, it was not as if they could stop. While these Primordial-level beings might be weakened, it did not mean they were useless, as they could slaughter any number of Old Ones and lower-dimensional immortals, and except for another Primordial, the most the inhabitants of the Origin Realms would be able to do was to seal them.
Hours passed, and the bombardment continued, and the black crystal was now the size of a moon.
"No, we really cannot continue like this. Do not prioritize killing these beasts; we need to suppress them." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
The message rippled across the Primordial defenders, but not all of them stopped attacking. With the present state of the abomination, it did not take a lot to kill them, and a single Primordial could mow down hundreds.
Telmus, who had not made a move all this time, was noting the Primordials who did not stop attacking. While the others were struggling to restrain the Primordial level abominations entering the Origin Realms, about twelve of the Primordials were not doing this.
In fact, they were attacking some of the abominations that were already restrained, and when this weird behaviour was brought to their attention, they argued that the Primordial-level abomination must be killed; leaving them alive meant unknown risks.
On the surface, their arguments made sense, but only thinking a little bit deeper would one realize that feeding this growing black crystal that was filled with the power of End was many times worse than killing these creatures.
Seeing that they were going to be opposed for their decisions, these twelve Primordials stopped killing the abominations, but it seemed that their actions happened a bit too late.
"VHROOSSSHHH!!!"
The crystal that had doubled in size suddenly cracked, and a blast of darkness erupted from it that washed over the Origin Realm of Spatial Harmony, Aetheron’s Realm. In a weird coincidence, the crack in the shattered shield had fallen over this realm, and in this moment, darkness covered the entirety of it.
There was a loud sizzling noise as if water had been poured in hot oil, as the wave of darkness began suppressing and canceling out the power of Origin in this realm.
This was not the only effect of this explosion of darkness, as hidden inside the exploded crystals were chains of darkness forged with the power of End itself.
These chains were undetectable to the senses, and when the crystal exploded, the chains weaved through the darkness, eerily seeking out each Primordial defender and slamming into them, pushing them into the earth and suppressing them.
A moment of silence swept past the realm as suddenly a thousand Primordials, each of them shining with colors that defied imagination, were chained to the earth.
These chains were unnatural, and they could slip past the detection of the Primordials only because they were forged from the essence of the Proto-Dimensions.
To keep the secrets safe from the unknown enemies in their midst, Eos had not disclosed the presence of the Proto-Dimensions to the Primordials. He knew there were clear risks to doing something like this, but at the moment, he could not reveal his hand, even when he knew there would be a price paid for this ignorance.
Telmus, who was watching this battle, had his eyes widen in shock as he could barely glimpse... something flying through the darkness to disable each Primordial. He had to stop himself from descending because he was well aware that his task was not yet done, even though he could see the white hair of his daughter suppressed underneath the chains of End.
This imprisonment would not last, as the Primordials were all on their way to freeing themselves, but it had left a gap open in the defenses, and the horde alongside the Primordial level abominations were now free to take advantage.
In that instant, roars of unconcealed greed and the lust for blood erupted as the horde, who could not enter the Origin Realm without transforming to ash, could now survive the entry. They were still weakened by half, but that was a great improvement from the fact that a moment ago, they had all turned to ash.
However, their cries of glee turned to screams of pain and death as the defenses placed on the battlefield began to explode into life when the ground cracked open and machines the size of galaxies emerged.
These machines were a nexus of compressed space-time that could fold invaders into non-existence. Trillions of invaders barely reached the clouds when their bodies were squeezed and folded into nothing.
