The Reborn Sidekick Rejected The Male Lead-Chapter 436 - 421: Lesson 1
Chapter 436: Chapter 421: Lesson 1
The factory bus won’t come to pick you up in the afternoon if you didn’t catch it in the morning.
So Lu Jingqiu didn’t need to report to the community anymore.
The next day, she got up at seven, and Jiang Nanzhou didn’t let her cook either.
The family of three went to the cafeteria for breakfast. It only took half an hour to finish the meal, but since Lu Jingqiu had to catch the seven-thirty bus, she hurried through breakfast and rushed to the gate, leaving the task of taking the kid to Jiang Nanzhou.
There were still many people on the public bus that Lu Jingqiu took, but it wasn’t crowded.
It would stop along the way for passengers to get on and off. She would arrive at school around eight or just past eight.
It was just the right time since there were lessons for the first year students today.
It was Master Chen’s class, and Lu Jingqiu attended it.
For the next three days, she kept attending classes, constantly learning how to be a teacher.
Because the following week, several leaders were going to observe her class.
After school in the afternoon, Lu Jingqiu left two minutes early to catch the four-thirty bus.
Otherwise, she would have to wait another half hour.
When she got home, it was only five o’clock.
Today she was early; she went to Sister Yang’s to buy some vegetables.
She cleaned the house when she got back, scooped Hua Hua’s litter, and noticed the cat’s sand was almost out.
Fortunately, Uncle Yang was coming over tomorrow to help with the kitchen and bathroom renovation, and she could ask him to buy some sand.
In the afternoon, Lu Jingqiu picked up her son, and then waited at the factory entrance for Jiang Nanzhou to finish work.
Their several factories were quite spread out.
Some who didn’t cook dinner at home and ate at the cafeteria didn’t ride the bus and would walk about fifteen minutes instead.
Those who went home to eat could take the bus, running every six minutes, and each trip only took a few minutes.
A bus would make a couple of round-trips. The employees didn’t have to walk.
Jiang Nanzhou’s factory wasn’t far, but the second and third factories were.
Walking would take over twenty minutes, nearly half an hour. Some rode bikes, others took the bus, taking only about fifteen minutes.
The next morning, Uncle Yang, knowing they had to work, came at seven.
Jiang Nanzhou had Lu Jingqiu go to breakfast first, and after giving instructions to Uncle Yang, he would take their son to eat.
Lu Jingqiu went to the cafeteria, she got a steamed bun, a tea egg, and a bowl of porridge.
You could say the cafeteria food wasn’t bad; there were two or three kinds of porridge available.
Lu Jingqiu noticed that most families without elderly members ate with their children in the cafeteria.
It was another day of diligent study for Lu Jingqiu, but today after work, she didn’t go straight to take the bus. Instead, she headed to the nearby farmers’ market.
During the day, she had heard from Teacher Dong that next to their school, just a few minutes’ walk away, there was a farmers’ market and a few stores.
There, you could buy everyday items and food.
Lu Jingqiu bought some potatoes, got a bunch of garlic chives, two bunches of dried noodles, a block of tofu, and a few onions. She also purchased string beans, eggplants, chili peppers, sticky corn, and persimmons.
They had them, but she couldn’t carry them all.
She planned to bring a large cloth bag the next day.
Buy more eggplants, sun-dry some radishes and eggplants, and pickle some chili peppers.
In winter, they would have to rely on these.
After getting back home, Uncle Yang was still there; today he started with the bathroom.
The floor tiling was done in a day, and the walls would be tiled the next day.
The tables in the kitchen had all been moved out too.
When Uncle Yang saw them coming back, he finished up for the day. His main rule was working while they were at work and finishing up when they were done.
"The bathroom floor isn’t set yet, don’t use it, go to the community if you need the toilet. Because I’m going to lay tiles, I’ve reinstalled the squatting pan for you," he said.
"Okay, thank you so much, Uncle," she replied.
Nevertheless, Lu Jingqiu asked him to buy a bag of dry sand.
When he heard it was for the cat, he didn’t understand.
Indeed, for the older generation who struggled to have enough to eat, keeping a cat so meticulously was beyond their concerns.
But he agreed to bring her a bag the next day.
Lu Jingqiu didn’t want him to carry it, saying they could just leave it downstairs and let Jiang Nanzhou bring it up after work.
It wouldn’t be good if he hurt his back at his age.
After tidying up the house a bit, she hurried to pick up the child.
Then she went to meet her husband after work.
As the family of three was passing the community center, they were stopped by an aunt who said there was a phone call for them.
It turned out that her second cousin and her aunt had arrived home and were calling to let them know they were safe.
Her aunt was still worried about Xiao Cheng’s schooling, asking if the child had cried, if he was adjusting well, and how his meals were going.
Lu Jingqiu shared the events of the past few days with her aunt, reassuring them that everything was orderly and asked her to convey this to her uncle, so they wouldn’t worry.
Of course, after making the call, Lu Jingqiu hurried her husband and son to use the community center’s toilet, since theirs was out of commission.
Now their home was free of the urgent need for a bathroom.
And after dinner that night, the family of three made another trip to the community center around nine o’clock.
