The Regressor's Younger Brother's Insanity-Chapter 53: Clash with a Dragon
Ding’
[Unleashing Abyssal energy]
As Aether grew angry, Abyssal energy began slipping out slowly.
The draconic being sensed the eerie power and decided to kill him before he could fully unleash it.
Aether glared at the draconic being and also charged forward.
Clang! Clang! Slash!
They exchanged five blows before creating distance.
"Did you just use drugs?" the draconic being asked, noticing Aether’s sudden surge in strength.
But Aether didn’t answer. He rushed forward with everything he had and unleashed his family’s sword technique.
’Noctvain Sword Art Seventh Form’
His dark green mana filled the blade, mimicking an Aura Sword.
Aura Blade was a technique that only a Transcendent Realm swordsman could use. But Aether was only at the Sword Master High Stage, still one step lower than required.
Then Aether slashed at the draconic being.
The draconic being was primarily a mage, but until now he had been blocking with his bare hands, as Aether’s attacks weren’t strong enough to pose a real threat. However, this time he felt he should create distance and finish the fight from afar.
But it was too late to dodge. The draconic being was forced to block Aether’s Noctvain Sword Art Seventh Form with his bare hands.
Slash! Skreee
However, unexpectedly, the sword strike was so sharp that the draconic being’s hands were cut halfway through.
Seeing his hand sliced open, the draconic being kicked Aether in the abdomen and created distance.
"Hyahahahaha! Ahahahaha!" The draconic being laughed like a maniac, then suddenly his face twisted into anger. "You bastard! How dare you make me bleed. I, the almighty Ragon!" he shouted furiously.
The veins in the draconic being’s eyes turned red, and every vein on his face bulged.
He then unleashed his spiritual pressure.
Vwoooom
Cierra and Thalia felt overwhelmed and fell to their knees. But unexpectedly, Solmira was unaffected, she stood firm on the ground, clutching Cierra’s clothes.
"How dare you shed my noble blood! I’ll kill you. I’ll kill your entire bloodline!" the draconic being, Ragon, shouted in fury.
Aether ignored him and gripped his sword tightly, preparing to charge at the draconic being.
But suddenly, the Abyssal energy that had been slowly slipping out grew violent.
Aether’s dark green aura began to fluctuate, and the Abyssal energy started taking over his body.
Then, his hair turned light red, and his green mana vanished completely, leaving only the dark Abyssal energy behind.
Ding’
[Abyssal energy unleashed]
Aether’s spiritual pressure spiked, instantly cutting off the draconic being’s own pressure.
The weight pressing down on Cierra and Thalia lifted, and they coughed as they caught their breath.
Aether then charged at the draconic being, slashing wildly.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Each strike was fierce, forcing the draconic being back step by step. To withstand the onslaught, he covered his hands with dragon scales and blocked Aether’s sword strikes.
"What are you, bastard?!" the draconic being shouted in anger. The longer the fight dragged on, the more Aether was getting stronger .
Realizing Aether wasn’t an opponent he could handle in his human form, the draconic being decided to reveal his true might.
Ragon then used Polymorph, a spell that allows a dragon to abandon its human form and return to its original form.
His dragon form.
A blinding white light burst from the draconic being, and in an instant, he transformed into his true form,
A red dragon.
With a thunderous roar, the dragon unleashed Dragon Fear, a spell naturally embedded within their very existence once they assume their true form.
Whoever heard his roar was paralyzed with fear.
Hooooarrrhhh crrrrrrrrack!! Snap!
The roar was so powerful that a massive gust of wind blew through the surroundings, uprooting trees and turning the area into barren land.
Aether pierced through the raging wind and charged at the dragon.
But before he could reach, the dragon swiped its massive paw, slamming Aether to the ground.
Crash!
"Uggghh!" blood burst from his mouth.
"Aether!" Cierra shouted as she rushed toward him, carrying Solmira in her arms.
"Cough...ugh...cough" Aether groaned in pain, clutching his ribs. Several of them were clearly broken.
"Now crawl like the bug you’re, human scum." the dragon, Ragon said in a mocking tone.
He opened his mouth wide, and a small ball of fluctuating mana appeared. It drew energy from the surroundings and formed into a true sphere of light.
This was the Dragon’s Breath, a powerful blast capable of obliterating an entire village.
Ragon aimed at them and unleashed a high-density mana blast.
Feeling death approaching, Cierra grabbed Solmira and shielded her. Thalia cast a barrier spell around both of them.
"It was nice meeting you." Thalia said to Cierra.
Both of them accepted their fate, but one had not.
The blast then erupted.
Kra! Boom!
A five-kilometer radius was reduced to dust.
The shockwave even reached the Noctvain estate.
* * *
10 minutes earlier
Thalia’s maid rushed toward Aether’s room.
Step, step, step.
The reason for her hurry was that the Ravenfall family had arrived.
They were supposed to come tomorrow morning because the repairs couldn’t be completed.
But unexpectedly, the repairs were partially done, and only a few people could travel. So the patriarch of the Ravenfall family, along with some guards, had come with Thalia’s brother.
They had arrived at the Noctvain estate, and Thalia’s maid was heading toward Aether’s room, where Thalia was supposed to be.
But when she arrived, the room was empty.
And a nasty stench lingered in the air.
Upon closer inspection, she noticed traces of dark magic.
Her eyes widened in disbelief.
She was sure something had happened and quickly rushed to the estate’s main gate, where everyone was gathered to welcome the Ravenfall family.
As she reached the main square, she saw the Ravenfall family patriarch and a carriage carrying Thalia’s brother.
The Noctvain vice patriarch was also there.
She rushed toward them to report Thalia’s disappearance.
Just then
Kra! Boom!
A massive explosion erupted outside the city.
The blast was so enormous that it could be seen with the naked eye. Not just the warriors, ordinary people could see the flames and smoke as well.
"Aaa, Lady Thalia!" Thalia’s maid exclaimed, worry etched across her face.
