"Young lady, Malaika von Noctvain is coming home tomorrow with her academy student council."

"Whaaaaat!"

Malaika von Noctvain is Aether’s big sister who is studying at the Rajuk Caeloria Academy.

The Academy is a 4-year program, and Aether’s sister is in her 3rd year.

She has just recently finished her 3rd-year annual examination, so when Aether joins the Academy, she will be in her 4th and final year.

"The reason for her sudden visit?" Aether asked awkwardly.

"As you know, young lord, Rajuk Caeloria Academy hosts a special intern for the student council members. As young lady Malaika is the vice-student president, she is coming with the student council." the head butler said while slightly bowing.

"Ahh..." Aether remembered this event had also happened in his previous life.

The academy sends the student council to each of the seven great families once a year, rotating between households. This time, it was the Noctvain family’s turn.

After thinking to himself, Aether spoke in a troubled voice. "Has father returned?"

"Sorry to say, but the patriarch hasn’t returned yet." the head butler replied.

"Ah....I see."

"May I take my leave then?" The head butler asked politely.

"Yes, please."

The head butler then excused himself and left the room.

After the head butler left, Aether felt a mix of complicated emotions about his sister’s visit.

Cierra then gently grabbed his hand and comforted him,

"Are you worried because she might try to harm you?"

"Hmm. No, not that..."

"Don’t worry, it’s been a while. I hope everything will be alright." Cierra said.

Thalia, on the other hand, was confused. Aether had a loving family, so why was he so worried about his sister coming home? And why did Cierra say his sister wouldn’t try to hurt him?

She then asked Cierra about their relationship through voice transmission.

- Why are you both so worried? Isn’t this good news that his sister is coming?

Cierra looked at her with a complicated expression, then replied through voice transmission

- His sister had attempted to assassinate him last year.

Upon hearing this, Thalia’s eyes shook violently. Not in her wildest dreams did she think Aether would have such a bad relationship with his older sister.

Cierra continued through the voice transmission

Aether’s sister, Malaika von Noctvain, held the title of Noctvain’s heir, as she was meant to be the successor. However, after her attempt to assassinate Aether, their father stripped her of the title, and it now belonged to Aether as the next in line.

As Cierra explained Aether’s relationship with his sister, Aether stood up and left the room.

Cierra and Thalia watched him go, their eyes filled with worry.

Aether carried Solmira to his room and placed her on the bed, as she fell asleep from exhaustion.

Aether then sat next to her and gently patted her.

His eyes were teary as he recalled his older sister, who had sacrificed herself for him, yet was still treated as a villainess.

In his past life, after his older sister tried to assassinate him, he was furious and felt betrayed, so he cast her aside and never spoke to her. The same was true for her.

As a result, Malaika left the family and her location became unknown.

After Aether’s father died, he took on the family’s responsibility and discovered the truth. She wasn’t the one who tried to assassinate Aether; someone else had, and that someone was Aether’s personal servant.

Coincidentally, his sister went to his room to apologize for her outburst after her loss.

Even Aether’s sister didn’t try to defend herself.

As Aether discovered this truth, he was furious, and learning who the mastermind was only made him more enraged.

Then he went to look for her, but before he could ask for forgiveness or see her one last time, she was already dead.

And after many years, when Aether was stripped of his power by the Heavenly Principle, one of his comrades who had betrayed him came and revealed that he had killed his older sister, Malaika von Noctvain.

That was one of the hardest moments of his life. His sister had never truly vanished but had been observing him from afar. When she discovered that Aether’s comrade was working for the Celestial beings he sought revenge on, she tried to inform him. But before she could tell Aether, she was brutally murdered.

As Aether recalled his past, tears poured down his face.

"This time, I’ll protect you, sister. And I’ll reveal the truth that you were not trying to assassinate me."

Aether’s eyes filled with determination.

In the student council room at Rajuk Caeloria Academy, the members were chatting about this and that.

They were excited to visit the Noctvain family, as it was the most ruthless and they protected the Boarder of The Chasm: Graveyard of Madness.

"Man, I can’t wait to see the boarders." a guy wearing glasses said excitedly.

"Me too. I hope to fight at least one monster from inside." another man added.

"Are you boys saying you want the Soulborne to come out and kill us?" a girl said mockingly.

As they were talking among themselves, a girl sat quietly in a corner, looking at a family picture. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

In the picture were Aether, the triplets, Lyra, Aether’s mother and father, and Aether’s big sister Malaika in the middle, all smiling happily.

The girl looking at the photo was none other than Malaika von Noctvain.

"I wish this night ends quickly." Malaika murmured, eager to meet her family, specifically Aether.
