The Rise of the Black Plain-Chapter 2899: Settling Matters Before the Final Battle in Uzira
"So that’s the situation." Minos muttered after hearing from Ysolt what he had already imagined.
Mylecent, like Eternal Death, was in the Hell. But they weren’t just fighting whatever conflict they had with each other in that dimension, they were both focused on taking advantage of the war’s opportunities.
The current war represented two great chances for groups in the Hell. One was to easily conquer domains previously belonging to Abby. Due to the size of the territory that previously belonged to Abby, there was a lot to be fought over, not only by the strongest Devils and their subordinates. Even smaller, more individualized groups could easily get some domains in the current context. That’s how big the domains Abby had inherited were!
But on the other hand, other not taken areas or areas with disputed sovereigns, which would previously have had great competition for themselves, were now more ’accessible’. Certainly not all the Devils were fighting over Abby’s old domains. Some of them were taking advantage of the lesser competition around the dimension, which was another great opportunity for individuals like Mylecent and Eternal Death.
Of these opportunities, Mylecent shouldn’t be far from reaching level 126 and Eternal Death had already advanced once since Minos left Uzira last time.
Hearing this from Ysolt confirmed what Minos already knew and added details that he had so far only assumed. From this information, he imagined that the resolution of the Uzira conflict would not come overnight.
"That’s a problem." He commented after a pause of almost a minute, staring at Ysolt. "We can’t go to Hell for personal reasons that would put very big problems in our way. But we need to resolve the war situation as soon as possible."
Minos feared that Mylecent wouldn’t be able to deal with Eternal Death alone, so he wouldn’t allow himself to leave before seeing the end of Eternal Death, thus ensuring the victory of Uzira’s rebel forces.
But he also had to leave in search of Forfex and the final answer to his level advancement before the last phase of Devdar’s inheritance.
Gloria, Ruth and Abby looked at Ysolt with pessimism, having already exhausted their questions on the journey to the capital about possible solutions to bring at least Eternal Death back to the continent.
"I know..." Said the local fortune-teller, "I’m sorry about that, Minos, but I can’t help you. We’ve already sent the message to Mylecent. Now all we can do is wait for her to hurry up and try to lure Eternal Death back here."
"What should we do in the meantime?" Gloria asked her husband, sitting in an armchair to the side where he was facing Ysolt.
Ignoring the surroundings partially damaged by the clash of powers from their previous battle, Minos approached the subject as he could now. "There’s nothing for us to do. Let’s let my envoys and Ysolt’s envoys do what they have to do. For now, let’s prune the branches of the royal family in Uzira and finish fulfilling some of our old promises."
He stood up to leave, thinking of Odibrand Redwound’s family, of the promise he had already almost completely fulfilled.
He said in the middle of his departure, "Take care of your last business locally. We’ll leave right after the fight against Eternal Death, which could happen at any time."
The three of them understood, then split up to make the preparations they needed to get ready before their departure. Ysolt was alone in that half-destroyed post, happy for the power Minos had achieved and for what it all meant for the rebel cause.
But she couldn’t help looking around this former seat of Uzira’s kingship and thinking about the mistakes she might have made in her visions.
’Was my earlier prediction really right? I see Minos getting further and further away from us. She asked herself, not knowing whether she was disappointed that the future she had predicted for him was showing no signs of happening or just upset at the speed with which everything had happened.
But she was a strong rebel who had experienced all kinds of strangeness in her life. Like the others, who could no longer be felt nearby, she moved too. But unlike them, she went towards the remaining administration of the city and kingdom.
Ysolt was the most important person in the rebel group after Mylecent. As such, she would soon roll up her sleeves to get to work on bringing the kingdom into line with her group’s expectations!
...
A few days later, the core of the Stuart family was scattered across Uzira, with those previously in hiding coming back into the light of day with news of the recent events in the kingdom’s capital.
While Minos’ wives left their own legacies behind to help their companions and friends, he finished his mission for that fragment of soul he had met on his arrival on the continent.
The moment he sealed the reproductive organ of the last of Odibrand Redwound’s descendants he needed to deal with, Minos felt one less weight leave his shoulders and a sigh of thanks subtly move with the winds, almost imperceptibly.
From where he was, at the top of a tree in a large forest, Minos saw the light cutting through the clouds, forming a golden path that led to a white vortex at the top of the sky, where this sigh departed from this world.
Seeing a subtle natural representation of the Reincarnation Wheels, Minos made a gesture of farewell, releasing that resentful soul from this world to proceed with the proper process of reincarnation.
Watching this moment of departure unfold in front of him, Minos thought about the Hell, but not about the war that mattered so much to him now. His thoughts moved in the direction of Vicente and his earlier promise to the boy.

’By now, he must be close to the level of a low-level Supreme. He’s probably trying to escape the Hell, if he hasn’t already managed that.’ Minos smiled as he got moving again, flying back to the kingdom’s capital. ’I hope our meeting isn’t because of Eternal Death... The best thing for my group is that we only see each other when I’m preparing for my final step in the 12th stage!’
He thought of the vision of the future he’d had with Vicente, which showed him seeing his ally two other times, but it wasn’t clear when exactly these visions would happen.
One way or another, he was already starting to prepare to go to the Hell if necessary, more concerned with leaving a safe continent for his family who would be left behind than protecting his vital status from Qhava and the others!
