The Rogue Alpha's Second Chance-Chapter 25: Surrounded
Chapter 25 - Surrounded
Violet shifted uncomfortably. She then obediently responded, "I won't watch."
Once Lydia pulled away from Lucas, he was still in a daze. Lydia wiped her lips violently as though they came in contact with something dirty and drank down another glass of burning alcohol.
Lucas was offended at her gesture and wanted to argue.
However, before he could argue, the woman on his lap pulled the collar of his shirt. Her lips hovered over his, and her breath hit his face. She invited him: "Come on, this is getting boring. Why don't you come over? I have a room upstairs."
There was a playful intent in Lucas's eyes. His hand climbed up the woman's bare shoulder, and he pulled her close— his body hugging hers.
Then, he responded, "There is no way I am turning down a beautiful lady as yourself."
He grabbed her chin domineeringly and was about to close the distance between them when Lydia sneered.
"I would suggest steering clear from him. I don't know when was the last time he had taken a proper test, and trust me when I say that he has been rolling under the sheets with more women than he can actually count numerically. It would be a shame if you caught anything from him," Lydia commented.
Lucas glared at her.
"Hey! What do you mean? I am a very healthy individual. But I can't say the same for you, at least mentally. Look at you being virgin for so long, could it be that your deranged self can't tolerate the idea of someone sharing a bed with you? After all, who would want a psychopath like you?"
Violet frowned, hearing those accusations from Lucas.
She was about to defend Lydia when Lydia chuckled.
"Is sleeping with a man that hard to achieve?" She raised one of her brows.
Then, Lydia released her hair, letting them fall on her shoulder. She removed her outercoat and placed it on the couch. After that, she proceeded to unbutton the first few buttons of her shirt, giving a seductive peek at her cleavage.
Lydia's eyes burned with fiery passion as she accepted Lucas's challenge and stepped forward. Lucas furrowed his brows when Lydia got approached by a burly and tattooed large man.
He placed his hand around her waist and pulled her close. "Where are you going, sweetheart? Why don't you accompany me for tonight?"
Lucas's expression worsened, and he waited for Lydia to push the man away.
But that went futile when Lydia gave the man a charming smile and wrapped her around his neck.
"That sounds good."
The provoked Lucas immediately got up from his seat and strode towards Lydia. He grabbed on to Lydia's hand and pulled her back. His darkened eyes fell on her, and he loudly questioned, "What are you doing!?"
A yawn left Violet's mouth. She could hardly keep her eyes open.
"There is something going on between them," Violet expressed, not being able to exactly pinpoint it.
"Sleepy?" Sylas asked.
"A little," Violet responded, resting her head against the couch. She still wanted to see how it will unfold between two of them, so she forced her eyes open.
Lydia immediately pulled her hand away from Lucas and argued, "What is it to you!? You wanted to see if I could find a man, and I did! Now, leave me alone."
"And that's why you found this suspicious looking drug addict. I was simply teasing you; you didn't have to go so far. Don't you have some awareness? What will you if he wants to hurt you? Are you a naive fool!?" Lucas raised his voice.
"Hey, watch out how you are speaking. This—"
Before the man could carry on further, Lydia placed her hand on his shoulder and pushed him back. "Stay out of this. Let me handle it."
Seeing the contact between them only hyped up Lucas's agitation further. "Why are you touching him still!? Let go of him!?"
Unable to hold herself from falling asleep anymore, Violet softly spoke out, "Alpha, fill me on what happens later."
Before Sylas's response came, Violet's eyes closed, and her head wobbled before almost falling down abruptly. Sylas supported her and placed her head down on his lap, letting her rest in a comfortable position.
The warmth from Sylas's body comforted Violet. Violet's hand wrapped around his waist, and her head stuck to his stomach, absorbing his soothing scent. She let herself drift to a comforting sleep.
"You sure know how to take advantage of the situation," commented Sylas.

When the consciousness returned to Violet, she slowly registered that she was in a cramped setting. She stretched out her arms only to find herself on a warm body. The pair of hazel eyes widened when they met with the steely blue ones.

Violet was laying on Sylas's lap.
When the realization sunk into her, she instantly jumped up from her position, frightened and taken aback. Her abrupt movement caused her head to hit the roof of the car, and a wince was elicited from her.
"Look at you being so reckless."
Violet shrank away from Sylas, still processing how she slept so comfortably on his lap. It had to be one of the best sleeps she had. If it wasn't for the nagging hunger disturbing her, she would have still continued to indulge.
Violet wanted to beat herself over how shameless she was.
Her meek and careful eyes looked at Sylas, observing him. "That, sorry about it, Alpha."
Although Violet might have behaved indiscreetly in her sleep, she still couldn't believe how Sylas let her lay there. She thought his first instinct would be push her off coldly.
The confusion in her eyes reflected well to Sylas.
"No harm done," Sylas responded.
Before Violet could have any more queries, the front door to the car opened from both sides. Lydia and Lucas got in and slammed the door loudly. Violet realized that their state was disheveled and they were angry.
Violet's curious eyes fell towards Sylas, recalling her words on how she asked him to fill her in on the details.
Lucas turned back, looking at Violet, and asked, "Are you hungry, Princess? Why don't we stop at a fast food restaurant?"
The mention of food instantly drove away the thoughts of their entanglement from Violet's mind. Her eyes brightened up, and she said, "I want to have Chinese food."
Lucas nodded.
Violet's gaze then shifted towards Lydia. Lydia's face was set in ice. The effects of the alcohol wore off her, and now that she was sober, thinking of everything that happened made her blood boil.
"Are you alright, Lydia?" Violet asked softly, afraid of agitating her.
"Yeah, totally fine. Just got attacked by a rabid dog, but it's alright I handled it just fine," Lydia spat.
Rabid dog?
Violet smiled. "Glad you're alright then."
°°°
After having her meal, Violet dozed off again. Scared by her inappropriate behavior from last time around, this time she shrunk to the window beside her and occupied as less space as possible when sleeping.
Although there was a palpable sense of loss within her, Violet shook her head at the dangerous idea.
Even though Sylas appeared all gentle, he would coldly have her head if he knew of her ideas.
On the way of returning to the pack, soft music played in the car. Both Lydia and Sylas their eyes closed while Lucas softly hummed the tune.
The peaceful moment was interrupted when Lucas's sharp instincts felt the presence of multiple werewolves gather around them. The car came to an abrupt halt.
The werewolves hiding in the dark appeared in front of the car, surrounding them from all sides.
Sylas's eyes opened. Gloominess settled into those steely blue eyes, darkening them.
As the tension in the car thickened, Lucas informed, "We are surrounded, Alpha."
