The Rogue Alpha's Second Chance-Chapter 83: Drunk
Lydia slammed down the bottle in her hand on the table. ππβ―π¦ππ¦π£πππππ.πβ΄π
"That bastard!" she exclaimed, "I should have slapped him a few more times!"
Although Lydia initially expressed her hesitation towards consuming alcohol, once she took the first sip, Violet wasnβt able to stop her anymore.
Taking a bite out of the slice of cake in front of her, Violet leaned against the couch, hearing Lydia complain about Lucas for the nth time. She learned about all Lucasβs embarrassing secrets Lydia knew and the tortures Lydia wished to inflict on him.
"How dare he call me an incompetent doctor? He said that my patients should be careful of whom they trust. If they are not careful, one day I will kill them off," Lydia expressedβ her voice was full of sorrow.
Then, the next instant, she got a burst of energy and grabbed on to Violetβs shoulder, shaking the rest of the spirits from inside her.
"You trust me, right, Violet? You know I wouldnβt harm you." Lydia intently stared at her.
Exhausted, Violet nodded.
Then, Lydia stood up, raising the bottle of champagne in her hand high. "Maybe I should poison that bastard to death!"
In the beginning, Violet was full of energy like Lydia. She shouted along, supporting her. But now, she wished to go back and get a good nightβs sleep.
Violet spotted Damian from the corner of her eyes and waved her hand. Since Lydia was drunk, they couldnβt return on their own, and therefore, she called him over.
Damian came over. There was confusion in his eyes when he saw Lydiaβs inebriated state. The usually calm and composed woman was blabbering and muttering random words.
"All men are scumbags! They should all die!" Lydia shouted.
Violet gave a resigned smile in response to Damianβs questioning look. "She had her heart broken."
Lydiaβs focus then went towards Damian. She grabbed his collar and pulled him closer. Her dark eyes glared at him.
"That bastard, I will never care for him again. If he falls in a ditch, I will cover that ditch to make sure he is buried alive.
And doesnβt he love sleeping around, spreading his seeds? A whore like him should be impotent. Yeah, maybe I will drug him so that he canβt have sex!" Lydia stated.
Then, narrowing her eyes, she questioned, "Do you think I am right?"
Damian felt helpless.
"Yeah, youβre right."
Satisfied, Lydia released his collar and patted his chest. Then, she took a step backwards and proclaimed, "Who canβt sleep around? I can do it! I will sleep with one, two, three men today! Yeah, he calls me a prude, right? I will prove him wrong!"
Lydia turned on her heels next, but the dizziness caught up to her, and her steps faltered. Damianβs hand reached out to hold her shoulder to support her.
Releasing herself from his hold, she stumbled her way over to the dance floor.
Damianβs gaze fell on Violet.
"I will trouble you to take care of Lydia," Violet spoke out, waving her hand.
Damian nodded. "Stay seated there, and donβt move. I will bring her over."
Left to her own, Violet felt the depressive thoughts taking over her head. She reached out for the glass on the table and took a sip.
There was a sharp tingling sensation on her tongue.
Violet furrowed her brows.
"Is this drink too carbonated?" she mumbled.

Sylasβs hands grabbed on to the arms of his opponent. He twisted them, and with swift movements, he had the opponents pinned to the ground. As the blade in his hand touched the lifeline, the other party raised his hand in surrender.
Sylas released him and stood up straight. Then, he heard the click of the camera and turned his head. There was Julia smiling at him, holding her camera.
"Why are you randomly taking photos now?" He frowned.
Julia smiled and brought the camera over, showing him the captured photo.
"Itβs not random. I think you look handsome, especially after that victory. We need to commemorate it," Julia commented.
Sylas shook his head in disapproval. "I look like I need to take a bath."
"You are truly hard to please," Julia voiced out, "who else can endure you other than me?"
Sylasβs hand then wrapped around her waist, and he pulled her closer. Then, he placed a small peck on her lips and expressed, "Youβre enough."
Sylas woke up from his nap then.
The brief sweet memory with Julia flashed in his mind. His eyes then fell on the broken camera on the table.
It seemed no matter how hard he tried, gradually he is losing all connections to her.
Following that, Sylas freshened up and stepped out of his room. As he head downstairs, he found Lucas pacing around the house, seeming visibly frustrated.
"What happened?" he questioned.
"Lydia blocked my number and disappeared," Lucas said, "she also took Princess with her. I canβt contact her either. Do you think both of them will be in danger?"
There was a hint of distress in his voice.
Sylas calmly replied, "Lydia can take care of them both."
"Yeah, but I heard from Stella that Princess was really upset. She was crying even. And for her to not pick up the call, do you think something could happen, Alpha? Can you try to call Lydia?" Lucas sounded desperate.
The clock had already struck one at night. Even if Lydia was used to returning late, since Violet happened to be with her, she wouldnβt delay time outside.
Sylas reached out for him phone and dialed Lydiaβs number. Lucas waited in anticipation as the phone rang. However, it wasnβt received. Sylas made another call, but the result was the same.
"We should go out to search for them," Lucas said.
There was a tracker on Violet placed by Sylas. Opening the application on his phone, Sylas noted her position and said, "They are at a club."
"A club? Oh, alright. That Lydia. How could she be so irresponsible and take Princess to a club? Also, even if she is at a club, canβt she keep her phone on her? She should know basic safety," Lucas muttered, going out of the house to take his car out.
He realized Sylas was following him as well.
This prompted him to ask, "Will you be going as well, Alpha?"

Violet felt dizzy.
She shook her head, trying to focus her vision. But strangely enough, there were two of everything in front of her. She frowned and folded her hands on the table, resting her head on it.
Her eyes fluttered.
Then, she spotted a blurry figure in front of her.
Violet instantly sat up straight and pointed her finger at him. She tilted her head, asking in confusion: "Why do you look like him?"
Violet was drunk. Those hazy eyes, flushed cheeks, and slow movements confirmed it for Sylas. Creases formed between both of his brows.
"How did you get drunk?" Sylas questioned.
"Eh? Why do you even sound like him?" Violetβs voice was soft.
Sylas stepped closer to her and held her shoulder. He then said, "Letβs get you home."
Violet blinked her eyes. When she couldnβt process her mind, she shook her head.
Although Sylas tried to get her up, Violet stubbornly remained seated. "Damian told me to stay here until he comes. I am not moving. I shouldnβt be talking with strangers. Go away, go away."
Violet flailed her hands, trying to get rid of Sylas.
Sylas maintained his patience as he sat down beside her. He realized how Violet was reaching out for the bottle of champagne and held her hand, preventing her.
"Let go. I want to drink," Violet expressed, struggling against his hold.
"Be a good girl. You canβt drink."
Tears welled up in her hazel eyes. She turned her head, glaring at the man.
"Not only do you look and sound like him, you also bully me like him. Why are you being so mean to me?" Violet accused. Her soft voice made her sound fragile and vulnerable.
"Who bullied you?" Sylas gently asked.
A trail of tear went down her cheek.
"Alpha. He is a big meanie. He always takes advantage of my feelings for me and hurts me. I donβt like him. I donβt want to see him," Violet spoke out.
"Oh?" Sylas asked. "But you entered his room and broke his camera. Now, you are calling him a bully?"
Hearing that only made Violet cry harder.
"I didnβt want to! I just cleaned up his room. Then, a mouse entered! I just tried to get the mouse out of the room but mistakenly broke the camera.
However, he said, he said I sneaked around his room and shouted at me. He shouted at me to get out. Without even asking me, he accused me of breaking it on purpose. Tell me is that fair? Isnβt he a big meanie? I will never talk to him again."
Sylas took out his handkerchief and slowly wiped the tears away from Violetβs eyes.
