The Runic Alchemist-Chapter 424: Astral Pulse
"Mind your language, Son," Baron Marcus said in a tone that was anything but amused. "He is my guest and the savior of half the lords gathered here. Cower behind your stone walls if that’s what you wish, but do not mock our only hope for a fighting chance against the coming doom."
Many of the lords who had seemed offended a moment ago now looked down. They knew what was at stake and what would happen if Damian simply refused this arrangement.
"Lady Souldealer, no one doubts your abilities, but our young prince is not delusional," Lord Silas said, standing beside his friend. "We—those of us who returned alive—you can ask anyone. This boy fought three Transcendents: one of them the Dragon Emperor himself, another the second strongest knight in the Five Kingdoms, Sundering Blade, and the turncoat Moondancer."
"Yes, and it wasn’t even a struggle," another lord chimed in. "With the help of his artificial mana core, the boy immobilized Moondancer, threw Sundering Blade into a wormhole with an end we couldn’t even see, and went toe-to-toe with the famed Emperor…"
A new wave of murmurs swept through the room.
Damian felt like he had made a huge mistake coming inside. He should have stayed on the Dreamlight. Half of them were adoring him, making him embarrassed, while the other half annoyed him to no end.
Souldealer and Lord Silas stared at each other for quite a while, as if she were searching his eyes for the truth in his tale. Damian himself wouldn’t have believed it if he heard such things. They exaggerated a lot though. Sam had handled Moondancer, the wormhole trick only worked once against unaware opponents, and as for the Emperor… Well, his dragon form would have been troublesome, but for some reason, Damian felt like the guy had gone easy on him. Maybe he had plans to keep Damian alive for his own use or something…
Feeling like things would only get worse if he stayed, Damian stood up abruptly. The room fell silent. Taking advantage of the pause, he spoke:
"Do your thing. I already showed the spell, and you can verify it before entering again. Lord Silas, Baron… Get those who care enough; let the others be. I’m going to wait outside."
Receiving nods from the two, Damian walked out of the room. Reize followed behind him, along with Lumi, while the others remained.
Damian and Reize walked through the crowded tents in the garden, eventually reaching an empty spot where the morning sunlight filtered through the swaying tree leaves. He conjured his signature tables and chairs before sitting down.
"This is where you spent your childhood?" Reize asked, following his gaze toward the small town of Lockwood in the distance.
"I just spent all my days reading and training swordsmanship with Lucian. Not much of a childhood," Damian replied.
"You were engaged to her… before Maelor," she said with a teasing smile, though a genuine question lingered in her eyes despite her attempt to mask it as a joke.
"She’s just a friend. I already told you—I like older ones," Damian said, smiling back.
Lumi scoffed, pulling a book from her spatial storage and pretending to read.
"Oh?" Reize said in an amused tone. "Like me? I’m old?"
"Eh… That third-ranker lady was nice, though…"
Lumi scoffed again, this time coughing hard to hide her laughter, covering her face with the book.
Reize squinted at Damian and picked up a fallen leaf from the table, tossing it at his smug face. Well, he probably deserved that.
Before she could throw more and start pouting, Damian took out the bracelet he had made for her and cast an analyze spell on it. He placed the item on the table and slid it toward her.

Item: Astral Pulse
Tier: Supreme
Origin: Forged By Primordial Metal Shaper
Item Type: Runic Accessory (Aura Amplification)
Description:
Forged with precision and intent, the Astral Pulse is more than a simple tool—it is a key. Crafted by a talented runesmith, this bracelet allows its wearer to channel their aura with controlled precision, a necessary force for generating mana, the purpose of which was to pilot Dreamlight-World’s first ever runic airship. Designed for the one who stands beside him, not behind, its purpose is both practical and deeply personal. Every etched rune carries the silent understanding between creator and wearer: they move as one. The airship will not respond to just any hands—only hers and his, working in tandem.
Attributes:
Durability: 100%
Activation Time: Instant
Cooldown: 2 minutes
Runic Alignment: Tier II
Special Effects:
Guided Eruption: Refines and directs the wearer’s aura, amplifying power while ensuring precise control over aura flow and aura blade execution.
Harmonic Conduit: Passively synchronizes with the wearer’s natural energy, reducing mana expenditure and enhancing efficiency in prolonged battles.
Runic Overdrive: Temporarily boosts aura output beyond normal limits, granting a surge of power for high-intensity moments. However, excessive use may cause strain.

Echo of the Crafter: The runes store a fragment of the creator’s will, subtly reinforcing the wearer’s focus and resilience when under pressure.
Bloodbound Legacy: This artifact is attuned solely to its rightful inheritor—only the original wearer and their direct descendants can wield its power. Any outsider attempting to use it will find it inert, its essence refusing to respond.

Reize’s eyes widened as she stared at the open status window, frozen in shock. Damian smirked, amused by her expression.
"Su… Su… Supreme Grade!" Lumi stammered before shouting so loudly that soldiers from distant tents turned to look at them.
Both Damian and Reize squinted at her. Lumi’s book had fallen to the side, her gaping mouth having all but forgotten that she was supposed to be ignoring them.

"Don’t you already have a Supreme-grade bracer that I gave you?" Damian asked, confused by her reaction. It wasn’t his first time.
