The S+ Class Omega Takes Over Again [BL]-Chapter 29: Rian’s Diary #1: Growing with love
Despite having the largest room in the house, he was beginning to run out of space for everything he owned. Treasure chests overflowed with carefully stored toys and half-finished designs, while the shelves were crowded with completed Lego creations arranged like prized displays with his gold trophies. The walls were lined with drawings he had deemed worthy of hanging, each piece chosen with the help of his hyung. Around the window seat, every shelf was packed with storybooks—most collected with the baby in mind, though a few had been set aside just as fondly for Kim Haneul.
"Ack!"
Nearly toppling an unfinished Lego set he still hadn’t found room for as he dragged himself out of bed for the early feeding. He froze at once, hands shooting out to steady the pieces before any damage could be done, then continued on to the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth to start the day. As diligent as ever he got up early in the morning to maintain his routine. Stepping out of the bathroom with his clothes changed for the day he carefully made his way over to the telescope next to the window seat his hyung had gifted him for his birthday last year and hugged it with a bright smile.
"Good morning!"
Glancing out the window in the backyard he spoke to the little sapling next in the backyard staring back at him.
"Wait for me, I’m coming."
Making his way out with tiny footsteps he stopped at the stairs once to see if Yoon Seoyul or his hyung were also awake or still asleep hearing nothing he deducted they were both sleeping even now. Yoon Seoyul rarely slept these days so he better not wake them up and let them sleep in for today at least.
After filling the small watering can from the backyard hose, Rian carried it over to the young purplebloom maple. He set it aside and crouched down, pressing his fingers into the soil to test its moisture. The earth felt dry beneath his touch—just as he’d expected. Ever since planting the tree for the baby a few days ago, he had come out every sunrise to check on it, not missing a single morning.
"Eat a lot and grow up with love."
Lifting the can as he stood up, he poured water around the fragile trunk, his voice soft and earnest as he spoke to the tiny tree, as if it could hear every word.
"Does it need watering now?"
He had just finished tending to the young tree he’d planted for the baby when the voice reached him—familiar, yet unexpected causing him to look over as he found a man squatting beside him, noticeably taller than his hyung, close enough that he hadn’t even heard him approach.
"I told you not to come here ever again."
He recognized the man at once—the same one from two days ago, hair hanging long enough to obscure his eyes, that lazy smile etched into his face. He’d seen him in his room two days ago and back then he had clearly told him to not come around here or he will tell his hyung. The man had agreed without protest. Yet here he was again, back inside their home as if that promise had never been made at all.
"I was curious and bored I guess... will you-"
The man was just speaking when he paused as if he had become a statue. Rian moved his hand over to the scar on the man’s chin but before he could touch the scar his hand went through the man’s appearance.
He’s not here.
Turning back around the man resumed talking to him not noticing any difference.
"Tell your hyung now? What could he doing right now in his bedroom should we both go up and see?"
The man amusingly asked him with that languid smile tugging his lips. Rian glared at him for a second before speaking.
"Do you not have a family? Is that why you’re this interested in other people’s families?"
The man dropped his smile glancing around at the backyard before standing up.
"I wanted to see how much the tree had grown now that I have seen it I will leave. What business would I have with a child like you?"
The man lightly tapped his back with his hand. Carrying the water can back to its place Rian turned around to see the man gone just as suddenly as he appeared.
Washing his hands before entering the house again, Rian went back inside, eager to catch his favorite cartoons that always aired around this time. When he switched on the television, the screen landed on the news channel Yoon Seoyul preferred. He changed it immediately, not sparing a single word of attention, and settled in close to the screen to watch.
By the time the episode ended, hunger had crept up on him. He sprang off the couch, suddenly remembering the cake in the fridge. With a bounce in his step and a grin spreading across his face, he skipped into the kitchen and pulled out the last slice from yesterday, delight shining as he claimed it for himself bringing it to the living room he set it on the round coffee table taking a bite happily.
"I want to watch cartoons too..."
At that moment, Cheon Areum wandered into the living room and settled down on the floor beside Rian. His attention was wholly captured by the dancing pixels on the screen, large purple eyes blinking slowly as he watched. His hair sat in a soft, tousled fluff, as though he’d only just stepped away from a shower, giving him an absentminded, freshly washed look.
Taking another bite of his precious chocolate cake Rian paused the show dashed back to his room, returning moments later with a handful of glittery bobby pins. He bounced back into the living room, restarting the episode, and carefully set the pins on the table before perching behind Cheon Areum, watching the screen with eager anticipation.
"Hyung do you want your hair braided?"
"Sure."
Immersed in watching the screen innocently his hyung answered in a low voice, Rian quickly braided the strands of hair that had fallen across Cheon Areum’s face, securing them atop his head with the glittery pins. Then, wrapping his small arms around Cheon Areum’s neck from behind, he gave him a gentle hug, swaying him softly.
"Did you sleep well hyung? Where’s Yoon Seoyul?"
" Yes... He’s cleaning upstairs."
Cheon Areum caught Rian’s hands around his neck, tousling his hair playfully before turning to him with a soft, approving smile. Beaming with pride, Rian sat down and began offering bites of cake—not just to Cheon Areum, but to the baby as well, who accepted each morsel quietly, without a single complaint.
"Is it ending already?"
"Yes the next show will air after this." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Cheon Areum sulked slightly finishing the last piece of chocolate cake speaking to him again.
"I want more."
"Oh...but this was the last piece of the cake."
"Aw...."
Cheon Areum rolled around on the floor and then shot up gazing at him.
"Rian do you want to go somewhere? Yoon Seoyul wants to take us out since he’s not going to work today."
"Really! Then can we go to the park I want to ride a bicycle!"
He had only ever ridden the three-wheeled tricycle—what he really wanted was a proper two-wheeled bicycle! Cheon Areum nodded in agreement, then returned to rolling across the floor, a small smile tugged at Rian’s lips as he watched and joined his hyung in rolling around the floor for a while before he hit something.
"What are you both doing?"
Yoon Seoyul stared down at the pair rolling on the floor of the living room with a complicated expression on his face. Rian grabbed the slipper in front of his and tried to take it with him with force.
"Are we really going to the park today? Last weekend you said we would go on a picnic but then cancelled the plan!"
Unable to grab the slipper, he pounded it with soft, frustrated fists, muttering to Yoon Seoyul, who didn’t intervene but bent down, ready to scoop him up.
"Your hyung’s going to drag me to the park anyway, even if I say no—today’s supposed to be my day off."
Yoon Seoyul stepped forward to lift Cheon Areum from the floor too but his hyung darted away instantly, slipping from one hand to the other side of the living room, grinning mischievously as he evaded the capture.
"Don’t disturb me it feels nice you should try it too its like giving your bones a massage."
"You could get a professional massage, you don’t need to flop around on the floor like that, Areum."
Yoon Seoyul tried to reason with him, but his hyung only fixed him with a stubborn gaze, rolling casually on the floor, determined not to get up.
