Chapter 187 - 187: A Little Bald

The topic shifted to cultivation methods.

John patiently explained everything to Alice in detail. After listening quietly, she finally said, "Johnie, your method feels a little weird. It doesn't seem effective at all."

It was too aggressive—recklessly siphoning off someone else's vital energy.

John nodded, understanding her concern. "I know what you mean. That's why there's still a lot I need to explore and improve."

Then he turned to Emily and asked, "Miss Wood, are you interested in cultivating?"

"What?" Emily's heart skipped a beat. Her eyes lit up with curiosity. "Yes, of course I am."

She had always remained humble around John.

If she could become a cultivator, at least she could stand a little closer to him. But Alice, still fuming, threw a jab with a touch of jealousy.

"Johnie, how dare you? When I begged you to teach me, you refused. Now you're all smiles offering to teach Miss Wood?"

"Don't get me wrong," John explained quickly. "I just want to test whether this situation only happens to you or if it applies to others too. Emily, do you mind?"

"Not at all," Emily said, shaking her head. She didn't care what the reason was. As long as it meant getting closer to John, she was happy.

Alice just sighed. Speechless.

Thursday Night

When John walked into classroom T, he was stunned.

The room was packed to the brim.

Even the doorway was jammed with students trying to get in.

"Mr. Lopez, I brought my boyfriend to your class. He didn't want to come, so I told him I'd break up with him if he didn't!"

"Mr. Lopez, my best friend got jealous after seeing my post about your lecture. She insisted on tagging along today."

"Mr. Lopez, could you do your magic acupuncture for us before class starts? I bet with my friend, and she still doesn't believe it's real!"

John was speechless.

But it was a good kind of chaos. The buzz of excitement was infectious.

"Mr. Lopez, you're probably the most popular teacher in school now, huh?" Emily teased with a smile.

Just one class, and John had already captured the whole school's attention.

Emily couldn't help feeling a bit envious.

"Haha, Mr. Lopez, the legendary doctor! How does it feel to be a teacher?" the principal, Charles Lee, joked as he entered, flanked by the dean and several other faculty members.

"Not bad," John replied. "The students are lively and well-behaved. By the way, Mr. Lee, what brings you here?"

"I heard your teaching style was rather... unconventional," Charles said with a chuckle. "So I brought a few staff members to observe."

He looked at John with genuine admiration.

At first, Charles had assumed John's class would flop, but the student feedback after the first lecture had been overwhelmingly positive.

And now, seeing it with his own eyes—it was even more impressive than he'd imagined.

Even more interesting, the administration hadn't pushed or forced any of this. The students came purely out of enthusiasm.

It was astonishing.

When the principal arrived, students in the front row respectfully stood and made room for the faculty.

Class was about to begin.

But instead of sitting quietly, the students surged toward the front platform.

The dean frowned. "What's going on? Get back to your seats! This is outrageous behavior for a class!"

An awkward silence followed.

But John's voice cut through the tension.

"Everyone in this classroom is here to learn. It doesn't matter where you sit or stand. There's no hierarchy here. If anyone doesn't agree with my teaching method, you're free to leave immediately."

His words were sharp and direct.

The students around him were silently impressed.

Mr. Lopez had guts.

Even the principal and dean didn't dare challenge him.

Charles nodded. "Mr. Lopez is absolutely right. We're here to learn—not judge. Don't see us as authority figures. Carry on however you like."

He gave the dean a stern look.

With that, the students turned their attention back to John, excitedly asking questions about acupuncture.

Pearl got another round of magic acupuncture. When the freckles on her face visibly faded, the room erupted.

John's skills were no joke.

It had been less than two days, and already there were tangible results.

The classroom buzzed with energy.

Half of the two-hour session flew by.

During the Break

A male teacher walked over to John and said nervously, "Mr. Lopez, your lecture is fascinating. I, uh... have a few personal questions. Could I borrow a moment of your time?"

"Of course," John said warmly.

The man looked around, hesitant. The classroom was crowded with students, and John was surrounded.

Seeing his discomfort, John offered, "If you're uncomfortable here, we can step outside."

"Thank you, Mr. Lopez."

They walked out to the lawn. Once they were alone, the teacher said in a low voice, "In your talk about balancing Yin and Yang for kidney health... well, I've got a related issue. Could you help?"

"Please be specific."

The teacher hesitated, face reddening. "Um... premature ejaculation."

"How long before—?"

"...within five minutes."

Yikes. That's severe, John thought.

"All right. After class, I'll write you a prescription. Try it and see if it helps."

"Thank you, Mr. Lopez!"

The man walked away, visibly relieved.

But not long after, another male teacher quietly approached John.

"Mr. Lopez, I just overheard something about Yin and Yang for kidney health. It really caught my interest..."

John raised an eyebrow. "Yes?"

"Well..." The teacher hesitated, then said, "I have trouble... maintaining an erection."

John blinked.

He gave the same solution as before.

But then, the dean showed up.

John's face darkened. Seriously? Are they forming a line now?

The dean approached with a sheepish smile. "Mr. Lopez, I owe you an apology. I shouldn't have doubted your teaching methods earlier. I listened to your lecture carefully, and I must say, the part about kidney Yin-Yang balance was especially enlightening..."

John cut him off. "Get to the point. What's your issue?"

The dean let out an awkward laugh. "I'm... a little bald."

Bald?

That caught John off guard.

Of all the problems, this was certainly the most unique.

No wonder the dean stood out.
