Chapter 195 - 195: A Black Belt Master, Riley

While Nick and his wife were talking with Tate, in the front yard, a man approached.

A foreigner, with a patch of black beard under his nose.

It was obvious that Justin had expected the arrival of this foreigner. He greeted him with a smile and spoke to him fluently in the foreign language.

Jacob was curious. "Justin, what did you talk about with this foreigner?"

"Nothing. Just a simple greeting. Let me introduce him to you. This is my friend from when I was studying in Australia. His name is Riley, a very powerful Taekwondo master. He just arrived in the US a few days ago and plans to open a Taekwondo gym here."

Justin had practiced Taekwondo for two years while studying in Australia, and that was when he met Riley. Unlike Justin, Riley had been practicing Taekwondo since childhood. He was already a black belt by the time they met.

"Hello!" Riley greeted Jacob in English after Justin's introduction.

Jacob couldn't help but laugh. "Wow, this foreigner is a bit amusing!"

Riley suddenly grew serious and said, "Friend, I can understand a little English. Please just call me by my name, or I'll be angry."

"I'm sorry," Jacob apologized, then turned to Justin and asked, "Justin, did you invite Riley to have a meal with us?"

"Yes," Justin nodded, his face sporting a mischievous smile. "Of course, Riley was invited for dinner."

But Justin's smile hid something else—it was hard to say if Riley was truly here just for a meal.

In front of a vibrant garden, Queenie bent slightly to inspect the pink flowers.

"These pink flowers are so beautiful. Should we pick some and put them in our house as decorations?" she asked.

"They're beautiful. You can pick more and decorate other places with them," John replied, though his attention wasn't on the flowers. Instead, his eyes were fixed on Queenie's form as she bent down.

It could be said that while she was admiring the flowers, John was admiring her.

"You little rascal, where are you looking?" Queenie suddenly snapped.

John quickly looked up, his face turning slightly red. "Ahem... Well, I was just thinking how Jacob is too naive. He left a beautiful woman like you alone and went to talk to Justin. Do you think there's something wrong with his sexual orientation?"

Queenie blinked, still unsure whether she'd heard John correctly. Before she could respond, John quickly shifted the topic. "Wait, I mean, Jacob didn't know the history between you and Justin. How could you be kind to him when he suddenly tries to play matchmaker?"

Queenie, realizing she had misunderstood, shrugged. "I wouldn't call it a fight. The first thing Jacob did was try to introduce me to Justin, and I was immediately annoyed. Of course, I wanted him to leave as quickly as possible."

John chuckled. It seemed like Jacob had no idea what he had just walked into. After all, Queenie had every right to feel annoyed by his well-intentioned but misplaced matchmaking.

John continued, "Jacob deserved it!"

Queenie raised an eyebrow. "Hmm, I think I see a hint of schadenfreude on your face."

John immediately stopped smiling and shook his head. "You're wrong."

"Really?" she asked skeptically, giving him a curious glance, as if trying to read his thoughts.

"You're wrong," he repeated with more firmness, though internally, he felt a bit of jealousy. It felt strange. It was like having a favorite toy and suddenly someone came along wanting to share it. That was how he felt about Queenie's attention being divided.

In the past, she had been only his sister, but now she had become someone else's sister too. Of course, it made John uncomfortable.

"If I had known this earlier, I would've been bolder and confirmed the title of brother-in-law!" John muttered to himself.

Queenie, still watching him, suddenly smiled. "Little John, I know what you're thinking. I can give you the answer now. If I had to choose between you and Jacob, I would still choose you."

John felt a wave of warmth at her words.

She continued, "You don't have to worry about it. You can have both of us in your life."

John smiled, his earlier discomfort melting away. "As long as Jacob is your brother, and I'm his brother-in-law, I'll never be jealous."

"Then don't be jealous anymore," Queenie teased.

"I won't be," John said, showing his white teeth with a smile.

Queenie tapped him lightly on the head, clearly amused. She was happy, and there was even a playful anticipation in her eyes.

Just as the two were enjoying their banter, a man suddenly approached from around the corner. It was Riley. He pointed at John and said, "You. Fight with me!"

Queenie looked stunned. "Why is there a foreigner here?"

John was equally surprised.

Riley repeated in broken English, "You. Fight with me!"

It wasn't until then that John realized what Riley meant. He looked at the Taekwondo master with a confused expression and asked, "Why should I fight with you?"

Justin's voice came from around the corner, calling out to explain. "Riley is my friend. I heard you're very good at kung fu, so he wanted to practice with you. He doesn't mean anything hostile."
