The Sexiest Succubus Accidentally Went Crazy for a Cucked Guy-Chapter 69: The same old hot-tempered princess
«I-I humbly present myself before you, Princess Eliss, to ask for your hand—» begins a satyr — a vaguely humanoid creature whose lower body bears goat-like traits: silver fur, thick black hooves, and long, curled horns. But he doesn’t even have time to finish the sentence when...
«Get out of my sight, abomination,» Eliss cuts him off coldly, lounging lazily on her throne and dismissing him with a flick of her hand. The throne stands inside an enormous stone hall, its ceiling draped with banners bearing the emblem of the Narkhalis family. The vast chamber stretches lengthwise, with a massive main gate roughly a hundred meters in front of the throne and two smaller side doors set closer to where Eliss is seated.
«P-Princess Eliss, at least give me time to introduce myself,» the satyr babbles, thrown off by the succubus’s icy demeanor. «M-My name is Caldyos Slategorn, prince of the kingdom of Panshyl. T-The House of Slategorn is rich and powerful — an alliance between our families—»
«I told you to leave. Now. Your very presence makes me nauseous,» Eliss interrupts again, her voice sharp and merciless.
«B-But, Princess Eliss, please, at least let me—»
«Didn’t you hear what the princess said?!» one of the guards standing to the right of the throne snaps. «Your presence is not welcome, so you are kindly requested to leave the palace immediately.»
«I... I...» Caldyos growls, forcing himself back onto his hooves before trotting toward the exit gate of the enormous reception hall — the very hall where Eliss has been receiving her suitors for the past five years. «I have never been so humiliated in my life. I will never forget this affront — be sure of that!»
At those resentful words, Eliss’s eyes narrow.
«You filthy, inferior being — you dare threaten me?!» she snaps. Eliss then extends her arm toward Caldyos, her finger pointed straight at the satyr, her nail lighting up with a vivid purple glow. «It is already an insult that a repulsive creature like you, from an insignificant kingdom such as Panshyl, was even allowed to present himself before me. And as if that weren’t enough, you have the audacity to threaten the princess of one of the most powerful kingdoms in all of Elyndra?! You will pay for this insult with your life!»
The purple energy gathering at the tip of Eliss’s finger grows brighter, ready to strike, as Caldyos breaks into a frantic trot toward the exit. In the end, however, she relents, dispersing the offensive magic the instant the satyr crosses the threshold. Eliss isn’t foolish enough to spark a diplomatic incident by killing the prince of a neighboring kingdom to Ravessia — she merely wanted to give him a terrifying reminder of his place.
«Princess Eliss has always been particularly harsh on her suitors, but since she returned from Earth she’s become even worse than usual...» one guard whispers to another.
«Yeah. Who knows what happened on that planet to make her so tense and irritable,» the other replies in an equally low voice.
No matter how softly they speak, Eliss still hears them. She shoots both guards a murderous glare.
«If I hear you spouting bullshit about me one more time, I’ll have you rot in the palace dungeons for the rest of your miserable lives. Was I clear?!»
«Y-Yes, forgive us, Princess Eliss...» the two guards murmur in unison.
«Why are you so angry, little sister?» a mocking voice asks from beyond the threshold of one of the side doors. «Those guards are right — you’ve become even more unbearable than I remember.»
Standing in the doorway is a woman of striking beauty, with short silver hair and a purple streak falling over one eye — the same hue as Eliss’s. It isn’t artificial coloring, but a distinctive trait shared by all succubi of the royal branch of the Narkhalis family.
«Vanya, shut your fucking mouth — I’m really not in the mood to argue with you today,» Eliss snaps, her irritation flaring even higher. «You have three seconds to get out of my sight. You know, that satyr probably hasn’t gone very far — you still have time to catch up to him and get fucked by him like the whore you are. After all, that’s what you always do, right? It makes me wonder if you enjoy playing around with my rejects.»
«H-How dare you, you fucking impertinent snob?!» Vanya shouts, stomping toward Eliss. «You act superior just because you were lucky enough to be born with a pretty face?! Let’s see if you’ll still have all these suitors after I smash it with my fists!»
Eliss doesn’t reply with words. She leaps down from the throne, advancing toward her older sister with equal hostility and resolve. An intense purple light gathers around both sisters.
«P-Princess Eliss, you only recovered a few hours ago after an entire day of convalescence — I don’t think it’s wise to start a fight with your sister,» one of the guards murmurs, trying to stop the clash before it begins. «You know healing magic can’t be applied too closely between sessions. It could take days before you can be treated again.»
Eliss shoots him a venomous look, clearly angered by the implication of her sister’s superiority, but she can do nothing more than grit her teeth in frustration. Even she knows that, despite being less beautiful, Vanya’s mastery of magic and raw power far surpass her own.
But just as the two sisters are about to come to blows under the guards’ helpless gaze—
«Princess Eliss, weren’t you the one who said it’s stupid to challenge someone far stronger than you?»
Raelor’s deep, serious voice echoes throughout the hall. At its sound, Vanya immediately halts her advance, the purple aura around her body dissipating at once — and Eliss does the same. Although Raelor officially holds the same rank as a royal guard, when he speaks even princesses lower their heads, owing to his reputation as the most powerful incubus in all of Ravessia.
Yet it isn’t fear of Raelor that makes Eliss stand down, but what his words awaken within her — the memory of that day along the path by the Chikuma River, when she herself spoke those very words to Aoshi. Her eyes grow moist at once, a wave of bittersweet nostalgia washing over her as she drags herself back to the throne and collapses onto it.
«Princess Eliss — that posture is hardly befitting of a princess receiving her suitors,» Raelor scolds.
She scoffs openly.
«As if I gave a damn about making a good impression on them...» she mutters, straightening herself and sitting properly. «Wait... that abomination from earlier was supposed to be the last one for today — so why the hell are you telling me there are more coming in?!»
«Yes, technically the audience was over for today...» Raelor replies, a faint smile curling on his lips. «But one just showed up at the last minute.»
