The Silent Auction: The Alpha's Obsession-Chapter 96: The call

Olivia’s POV....

"What are you doing here all alone Liv?" Natalie smiled, she stared at me with a bigger smile on her face as she headed toward me and she sat beside me.

I held on to the gun from underneath my duvet even tightly.

I didn’t hear when the door opened, I didn’t hear the footsteps, by the time I did, it was already too late, even if I shot, she could have seen it and it would have ended badly for me.

I stared at her, without speaking a single word, all she did was smile at me, look at me and I did the same with her.

"What are you doing here?" I breathed out, my heart skipped a beat as I stared at her, I am scared and worried and all I wanted to do was speak to Luca, I need him to know that she is here.

"Come on, did you think he would move you to another place and I would not know about it?" She asked. "She inched closer to me and he placed her hand softly through my hair, like she always does, only this time, it made me scared and terrified.

"Luca would soon be back, you don’t want to be here when he comes back," I whispered so low, I could barely hear my thoughts over the pounding in my chest, my fingers fiddled against the gun, worried and scared I would blow it off, I was terrified of what she could do to me.

"What happened to you Liv, you used to be a good liar and now you don’t even trust me anymore."

"I.. you need to leave, the guards would soon be here and so will Luca and Ares and he is not going to love seeing you here."

"The guards are not coming and I am sure you know that as much as I do and it scares you that, you are not going to be safe, you are scared that I know that you are here alone and I should not, well, I didn’t even think I would find you here but imagine my surprise when I saw Luca leaving the mansion, and he didn’t take his car, I knew I had to follow him and I did only to find him here, I had to figure out what the great Alpha would leave everything he is doing and he will come here, and I knew it was for you, he kept you away from his me, from his guard, for the first time in his life; he is scared for you, he is scared because of something," Natalie whispered so low like she didn’t.

I didn’t look down at my stomach, I didn’t dare utter the words and I didn’t even dare try to make it look like she knew, no one can know about this baby, I need to protect my baby, I need to make sure that my baby is perfectly fine.

"Tell me why he would want to keep you here away from everyone else," Natalie asked.

"Tell me why you are here? What do you want Natalie, you have no idea what you are doing?," I whispered and she stared at me with a smile on her face.

"I think you do know that, when did you find out that I am not to be trusted, did he convince you, I always knew after you came home with him, he would try and find out more about me and Sebastine and I always knew that, when he didn’t figure out what he needed to know, he would be suspicious and so will you." Natalie smiled. Los tell me, I have all day and I have a feeling your precious Luca would not be back for a while, maybe an hour or two, so that gives us enough time to have a proper conversation." She added and I glared at her. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

I didn’t want her to know that I am holding a gun, all I needed was for her to be distracted enough so I could use it, I glanced at her and a breath fell out of my lips.

"You don’t have to do this, you can leave, you can run away, you can find a safe place to be in because if Luca finds out what you are doing, he is going to hurt you for doing that, he will make you pay." I mumured against my breath, my mind echoed with fear.

Maybe for my kid not for me, everything I do, would result in the life my baby is going to have, and I need my baby to be fine, I need my baby to be alive, I can’t imagine my life without my baby.

"I am willing to risk it, I am not scared of him, if he wanted to hurt me, he could have but he didn’t because he was curious, he wanted to know who I am."

"Or maybe he wanted to give you a chance like I did, and you are about to mess it up again," I whispered when she placed her hand on my lap and her gun found its place to my chin.

Waiting for me to speak.

"One the day Sebastian held that party, you got drunk, a lot too much for you to handle that you didn’t even realize that you blurted out a bit of the truth, you spoke about my ex husband, someone I didn’t tell you about, and that’s when I knew that you knew more than you are letting on, maybe you even knew me before I walked into the city, is it not ironic that I found a friend the moment I stepped into the city, and it got me thinking, that’s when I realized everything, that you are much more than you say you are and the next day I followed you, I saw you when you met Patrick, and it confirmed everything," I explained.

"You never told me this." She smiled.

"Because I never thought you would bor remember, I didn’t spend the night at your place because I was scared that you would know about it, because I thought that you would recall and you know that, but when I walked into the house, you didn’t even recall it, you didn’t even know that you said any of that, and I didn’t dare question you, and when I saw you with him, I told Luca not do anything because I didn’t even know who it was, when we figured it out."

"You thought giving me a call and starting up our friendship would be a great idea because you thought that if you didn’t call or text me, I would figure it out, I would realize that you know something because you don’t hate me, you only left badly because of Sebastian and the Olivia I know has the most forgiving heart, she would not hate me for some thing I didn’t do." Natalie smiled. "Even for you that’s fucking smart because I didn’t think someone like you would be this smart, I am sure it’s all Luca and not you because I know that, you are not someone who creates schemes you don’t do things like that and you always have a better heart than that mate of yours."

"Is that why you are here to make me regret ever calling you because you don’t need to do that, I already regret it and I hate it even more." I breathed out.

No on second thought, she said as I watched she pulled out her phone, I watched as she typed in a number and it started to ring; she placed it on speaker to make sure that I heard it even better.

"Olivia."

"Luca." Natalie smiled. "It’s not her, this is her dearest friend, so Luca this is how it’s going to be, I don’t have time and I am sure that that you are a busy man and you don’t have time either, so I would not waste any time we don’t have, I am going to kill Olivia if you don’t hand Patrick over to me, I need him with me and before that, I need to know he is alive."

"Olivia," Luca said.

"Don’t play dumb, she is with me, she would not speak, unless I ask her too because if she does, I will make sure that she is dead, and don’t do anything stupid, if you and anyone to the house, I will know and your wife dies, I will cut the call and what for a call back, don’t say a single thing and don’t even do anything I would not do, I really don’t have it in mind to kill anyone today but for you I will change my mind." She smiled.

She didn’t even let him speak before she hung up the call and she sat on the bed.

"Now we wait." She smiled.
