The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot-Chapter 160: She’s So Sweet
The winter in Arkenfall is colder than in Bexley, and Holly Sawyer immediately closed the window after opening it.
It really is cold.
She nestled in the living room, looking at the heater, munching on sunflower seeds while watching Korean dramas, her face full of contentment.
Winter really isn’t suitable for going out, she thought she could stay indoors all day during winter.
"Are you going out?"
Leo Grant had been busy with family matters recently, and as Holly Sawyer watched him dressed up neatly, she blinked.
Leo Grant nodded, "Yeah."
"Before I leave, can you promise me a small request?"
Leo Grant walked toward Holly Sawyer, standing in front of her, his gaze fixed intensely on her with a strong glow in his eyes.
"Sure."
Holly Sawyer nodded without hesitation, confident that any request from Leo Grant was within his ability to fulfill, so she agreed without even asking what it was.
"You’ve promised, no backing out."
Leo Grant’s smile was exceptionally gentle, emitting warmth, and his gaze on Holly Sawyer was filled with fervor.
Holly Sawyer blinked, suddenly feeling a foreboding, a sense of dread rising in her heart.
Leo Grant leaned down and kissed Holly Sawyer on the lips. This time, it wasn’t a light peck; his lips pressed against hers, initially gentle, then gradually deepening.
His cool lips pressed tightly together, Leo Grant supported Holly Sawyer’s head with his right hand and wrapped his left arm around her waist.
Holly Sawyer hadn’t reacted; her eyes wide open and her hands bewildered, looking startled.
"Silly, you need to close your eyes when kissing."
As the kiss ended, Leo Grant gently pecked Holly Sawyer’s lips, which had turned rosy from the kiss, and tapped her head.
The girl’s lips were soft, with the taste of white peach oolong spreading in the mouth.
Holly Sawyer still hadn’t reacted, she gazed at Leo Grant, looking dazed, without blinking.
Very unexpected, she was simply stunned.
"Don’t mind the poor kissing skills since it’s the first time; I can learn."
Leo Grant gazed fervently at Holly Sawyer, a hint of satisfaction in his smile.
Only then did Holly Sawyer realize her face turned red instantly, blushing all the way to her ears.
"Shut up."
She covered her cheeks with her hand and turned away, avoiding Leo Grant’s gaze.
It’s quite embarrassing.
"Alright, I’ll shut up."
Leo Grant made a zipper-pulling motion, his eyes filled with mirth.
Alright, shut up.
"But, honestly, you’re really sweet."
Leo Grant bent down slightly, leaning toward Holly Sawyer’s ear with a hint of laughter in his voice.
The taste of the girl was sweet, even more delightful than candy.
Holly Sawyer: "..."
Didn’t she say not to mention it anymore, yet he still did!
"I’m heading out; see you later."
Leo Grant said, turning to leave.
Holly Sawyer let out a long sigh, patting her chest.
"But, I still want to taste it again."
Suddenly turning around, Leo Grant quickly pecked Holly Sawyer’s lips once more, then swiftly stepped back.
Holly Sawyer was completely dumbfounded, her eyes wide, staring at Leo Grant incredulously.
"Still sweet."
With that, Leo Grant opened the door and walked out.
Holly Sawyer’s face turned even redder; she buried her face in a pillow, recalling Leo Grant’s actions, her heart fluttering.
The feeling of kissing ... not unpleasant at all, rather, there’s joy in it.
She gently touched her lips, kissed by Leo Grant, a smile spreading across her face.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door, Holly Sawyer’s brows furrowed with doubt as she put on her fuzzy slippers to answer.
As soon as the door opened, there stood a stranger woman outside, her smooth long hair draped over her shoulders, wearing a beige woolen coat, with a black dress underneath.
In this freezing winter, she was a splash of color, contrasting sharply with Holly Sawyer wrapped up warmly indoors.
"Leo Grant isn’t here."
Troubled thoughts crossed Holly Sawyer’s mind as she steadied herself, speaking coldly.
Most likely, someone coming here would be looking for Leo Grant.
"I’m not looking for him; I’m here for you."
Stella Jacobs smiled gently, looking at Holly Sawyer with an extremely soft tone.
She had a delicate beauty, maybe not an absolute stunner, but certainly attractive, giving off a tender and fragile impression.
Every move exuded the aura of a well-bred lady, her every expression oozing softness.
Stella Jacobs sat in the living room, her eyes sweeping across the layout, maintaining a persistent smile.
Holly Sawyer poured Stella Jacobs a cup of hot milk, "It’s cold outside, hot milk helps warm the body."
Holly Sawyer sat candidly across from Stella Jacobs.
"My name is Stella Jacobs."
Stella Jacobs had a faint smile on her lips as her gaze landed on Holly Sawyer’s face.
Presumably, Holly Sawyer knew the name.
Holly Sawyer responded steadily, "Hmm."
Stella Jacobs didn’t say much, but Holly could guess.
"You’re not surprised at all."
A hint of disappointment flickered in Stella Jacobs’ eyes.
She expected some reaction from Holly Sawyer upon hearing her name, but received none.
"Not surprised."
Holly Sawyer shook her head.
After so many years without results, what’s there to worry about now? She trusts Leo Grant, believes Leo Grant loves her.
"You’re quite adorable and beautiful."
Stella Jacobs complimented Holly Sawyer, her eyes void of deceit.
Few people are both cute and beautiful at once, but Holly Sawyer manages to do so, appearing natural.
Unexpected that Leo Grant actually likes this type.
Well, cute girls are always well-liked, herself included.
"Thank you, you’re beautiful too."
Holly Sawyer nodded toward Stella Jacobs.
Everyone loves being complimented, and Holly Sawyer is no exception.
No matter if Stella Jacobs is sincere or fake, it doesn’t really matter; Holly Sawyer could simply take it as a compliment.
"It’s warm inside."
Stella Jacobs removed her coat, glancing at Holly Sawyer.
The room seemed sufficiently heated, yet Holly Sawyer still dressed somewhat heavily.
Holly Sawyer: "I know."
The two engaged in casual chatter, Holly Sawyer lowered the volume of the Korean drama.
Stella Jacobs’ reason for coming wasn’t Holly Sawyer’s concern.
"I thought you’d resist me, yet you didn’t."
After chatting a bit, Stella Jacobs remarked.
From start to finish, Holly Sawyer appeared remarkably composed, her tone indifferent.
"No need." 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Holly Sawyer shook her head, a faint smile on her face.
Resist Stella Jacobs?
Sorry, she sees no reason to resist.
Even if Stella Jacobs threatened or pressured her, there’s no need to resist, let alone when Stella Jacobs had done nothing, her smile still amiable.
