The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot-Chapter 172: Want to Stand in the Snow
The shop had ample heating, and Holly Sawyer took off her hat and scarf, holding a hot milk tea in her hands.
"Your hands are still cold."
Leo Grant touched Holly’s hand and lightly furrowed his brow.
The young girl held a hot milk tea, and the shop was adequately heated, yet her hands were still cold.
"Well, that’s normal."
Holly blinked, speaking as if it was only natural.
It was indeed a normal thing, her hands got cold in the winter, even if she sweated, her hands would stay cold.
It seemed like they could never be warmed, and when they did, they got cold after a while.
"Are you not wearing enough?"
Leo pinched Holly’s cheek, asking slowly.
The young girl’s face was warm.
"No, I’m a bit hot."
Holly shook her head slightly. The shop was heated, and she was dressed warmly, feeling a bit sweaty but not at all cold.
Cold hands in winter were really quite normal for her; she was used to it and didn’t think much of it.
"Alright, I understand."
Leo held Holly’s hand tightly, nodding his head.
The young girl probably had a cold constitution, with icy hands and feet in winter.
He thought he should find something to help her regulate her condition; it was something to be treated.
"Couples dining in the shop today enjoy a 12% discount. Today marks the first snowfall of winter. Wishing you a long and lasting life together."
The waitress served the frog meat, her face showing a professional smile, and her words were gentle.
The dining industry values service; if the service is good, repeat customers naturally increase. Occasional activities in the store also have an effect on attracting customers.
"Thank you."
Holly expressed her gratitude, her face showing a gentle smile.
Hmm, she suddenly felt she really liked this store, the way the waitress spoke was quite pleasant, and the attitude was good.
"Brother, why don’t we go play in the snow later?"
Holly had a sudden notion, she blinked, speaking mysteriously to Leo.
The thought of going to play in the snow hand in hand had the implication of growing old together. Although a bit far-fetched, she wanted to try it.
Probably just thinking about playing.
"It’s very cold."
Leo ruffled Holly’s hair, speaking softly.
It was very cold outside, and the young girl feared the cold; he couldn’t bear to let Holly play in the snow.
She might catch a cold.
"Wouldn’t brother even agree to this little request?"
"They say playing in the snow has the implication of growing old together. Hasn’t brother ever thought of it?"
Holly blinked, her gaze fixed on Leo, speaking softly.
Hmm, she just wanted to play, with no other meaning; liking to play was just a natural instinct.
"Okay, after eating we’ll go play in the snow."
Leo couldn’t refuse Holly’s request, he responded gently.
The young girl’s requests were always hard for him to reject, thinking always about accommodating Holly and making her happy.
Playing in the snow didn’t mean wearing a hat but going hatless.
"Brother, you’re so nice."
Holly beamed with joy, her brows full of smiles.
"Eat more, you don’t gain weight anyway."
Leo served Holly more dishes, speaking slowly.
The young girl was especially passionate about food, always eating, yet seemingly never gaining weight, not gaining an ounce.
"I have gained weight."
Holly corrected Leo, pinching her face to argue.
Her face hadn’t been this plump before, now it was softer, with more flesh to pinch.
She felt she had gained weight.
Leo shook his head, "You haven’t."
The young girl hadn’t gained any weight at all.
Holly insisted, "I have gained weight."
She stated it as fact, not subject to argument.
She was merely stating the truth, not joking. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
"I can’t see it."
Leo said, staring directly at Holly.
From his perspective, the young girl hadn’t gained any weight, or any extra flesh.
"Well, I want to diet, but can’t control myself."
Holly mumbled with her mouth full.
Dieting was always just talk, never action.
When seeing delicious food, she walked right over and ate it all, reflecting afterward.
Reflecting on why she ate so much, why she couldn’t control herself, how she had gotten fatter.
Just all sorts of reflections.
Probably not just her, many girls have this common issue.
"Doesn’t matter if you gain weight, I’ll still like you, never dislike, eat freely."
Leo chuckled, serving Holly more food, his eyes filled with affection.
Whether the young girl was plump or slim, he liked her all the same.
Liking Holly wasn’t because of any particular qualities but because she was Holly, which made him like her.
The Holly he liked was the best in his heart, even if she had flaws in others’ eyes, he saw them as good.
"Pinkie promise."
Holly blinked, extending her little finger.
Leo also extended his little finger, the two fingers hooking together.
"Pinkie promise, a hundred years without change, change makes you a silly turtle."
Holly said childishly, her tone filled with laughter.
She knew it was childish, but just wanted to play.
Maybe in front of someone you like, a person can become very childish.
"I won’t change."
Leo smiled indulgently and tenderly.
He knew this was childish but was willing to stay naive with Holly.
He thought, it would be great if his young girl could stay this naive; it meant she was always pampered.
Being childish was sometimes a compliment, as only enough pampered children have the right to be childish.
He hoped Holly had this right.
"We took this photo with our camera, printed it out, and now it’s for you."
"Your relationship seems really good, genuinely enviable."
"Wishing you a long-lasting life together."
The waitress handed Holly an unlaminated photo, her lips soft with a gentle smile.
There weren’t many guests today, with Holly and Leo’s looks especially striking, a handsome pair, looking quite matched.
Their interactions were full of love, and their smiles particularly sweet, making the waitress envious just by watching.
She couldn’t help but capture the moment with her camera, then printed it out for Holly and Leo.
"Thank you."
Holly took the photo, her smile particularly gentle.
It looked quite nice.
