The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot-Chapter 175: Going to Find Leo Grant
In the hot pot restaurant, Diana Curtis was frantically marking dishes on the menu, as if she intended to eat Holly Sawyer into poverty.
Holly Sawyer looked at her, helplessly rubbed her forehead. It really wasn’t necessary.
"I thought you would cook for me."
After Diana Curtis ordered the dishes, she looked at Holly Sawyer pitifully and muttered a sentence.
Holly Sawyer had cooked for them before, and the taste was really good. Diana Curtis still remembered it fondly.
She thought this time she could eat Holly Sawyer’s food, but it was not to be.
"Leo Grant doesn’t let me cook."
Holly Sawyer took off her coat and draped it over the chair, yawning as she spoke.
Diana Curtis: "..."
Sorry, she’d better keep quiet.
The dishes soon arrived. Diana Curtis was eating the entire time, speaking very little. She was afraid that if she opened her mouth, she’d be served another mouthful of dog food.
Sigh, it’s so tough.
Being a single person and staying with someone who’s in a relationship can be really distressing.
All Holly Sawyer’s words revolved around Leo Grant.
Say no more, she’s already started envying sweet romantic love, but she feels she doesn’t deserve it, ah ah ah.
"Where are you staying?"
After eating and drinking enough, Holly Sawyer turned to look at Diana Curtis and asked.
"You’re not going to take me in?"
Diana Curtis was shocked, looking at Holly Sawyer incredulously.
"Afraid you’ll disturb our private time."
Holly Sawyer said unabashedly, looking at Diana Curtis with disdain.
"I’ve trusted the wrong person."
Diana Curtis clutched the spot over her heart, looking heartbroken, really having trusted the wrong person, her heart broken and feeling very upset.
"I can have someone come pick you up, go stay at headquarters, or I can get you a hotel room."
Holly Sawyer said, without a trace of guilt.
"I can get there myself."
Diana Curtis sighed and quietly turned to leave.
After Diana Curtis left, Holly Sawyer didn’t go back, but went directly to the Grant Group to find Leo Grant.
Recently, Leo Grant had been taking over things at the Grant Group, with many tedious matters to handle, so he was quite busy.
All the handling stuff is tedious, and there are probably a lot of discontented voices.
The receptionist didn’t recognize Holly Sawyer, and Holly spoke plainly, but naturally, no one believed her, so she was asked to wait in the waiting room.
Leo Grant was probably in a meeting, and when the receptionist called, there was no answer, and Holly Sawyer didn’t call him, fearing to disturb him.
"Miss Sawyer?"
Jasper Hayes, holding some documents, saw someone familiar in the waiting room and unconsciously walked closer for a look.
Looked a lot like Holly Sawyer, but he couldn’t be sure. He and Holly Sawyer weren’t that familiar, having only met a few times.
"Hmm?"
Holly Sawyer raised her eyes to look at the person in front of her, frowning slightly.
Looked familiar, but she couldn’t remember.
She always easily forgot those who weren’t important.
"I’m Jasper Hayes, you’ve met me before."
Jasper Hayes introduced himself, trying to cozy up since Holly Sawyer was so close with Leo Grant.
Leo Grant had recently returned, now busy taking over the company, meaning from now on, the Grant Family would be under Leo Grant’s management.
"Oh."
Holly Sawyer’s tone was indifferent.
Upon hearing his name, she immediately knew who Jasper Hayes was.
"What brings you here? Are you here to see Mr. Grant?"
Jasper Hayes asked enthusiastically.
Holly Sawyer: "Yes."
"He’s in a meeting, want me to take you up?"
Jasper Hayes pointed to the files in his hands, smiling broadly.
He had files needed for the meeting; at most, he was just running errands, taking files upstairs, not qualified to join the meeting room yet.
"No need."
Holly Sawyer shook her head to refuse.
She didn’t need it; Leo Grant would come down to get her. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
She came over to assert her presence. She wanted to let the staff here know that Leo Grant had a girlfriend.
"Alright then."
Jasper Hayes said no more and headed upstairs with the documents.
The files were urgently needed, and he couldn’t delay too much, so he went quickly.
Holly Sawyer didn’t wait long; in less than half an hour, Leo Grant came down.
"How long did you wait, hmm?"
Leo Grant pulled Holly Sawyer into his arms, gently rubbing her head, asking with a warm tone.
He hadn’t expected the little girl to come to find him. His phone was off during the meeting, or else he wouldn’t have let her wait so long.
"Just a bit."
Holly Sawyer’s face lit up with a smile.
It really wasn’t long. She just played on her phone for a bit, and then Leo Grant came down.
"Let’s go upstairs."
Leo Grant wrapped his arm around Holly Sawyer, leading her upstairs.
He told the receptionist to allow Holly Sawyer to go up directly in the future when she visits.
"Didn’t expect Mr. Grant to have a girlfriend."
"What’s more, his girlfriend is very pretty."
"When I heard Mr. Grant was taking over, I was hoping for a romantic encounter, but turns out I’m not worthy."
"Indeed, attractive people either have good-looking girlfriends or it’s kept internal, not reaching people like us who are just average."
"I think they really match well, they are a handsome couple."
"I thought I had a chance to become a phoenix, but turns out I’m nothing."
"They seem to have a great relationship."
"..."
As soon as Leo Grant and Holly Sawyer left, people started discussing, the voices of their discussions only increasing.
"Next time, call me before coming over, I’ll prepare something to eat for you."
Leo Grant poured Holly Sawyer a glass of warm milk, speaking softly and indulgently.
He had just taken over the company, was busy with a lot of errands, and hadn’t expected Holly Sawyer to come over; he wasn’t prepared with good food.
Holly Sawyer smiled: "Okay."
She just missed Leo Grant a little, so she came over, wanting to give him a surprise.
"I suddenly remembered a phrase."
Holly Sawyer looked intently at Leo Grant’s brows and eyes, her eyes filled with laughter.
Leo Grant: "What phrase?"
"You’re unlike anyone else."
Holly Sawyer blinked as she said.
Leo Grant: "Hmm?"
"Because I love you."
Holly Sawyer gestured a heart to Leo Grant, speaking playfully, her eyes smiling.
Leo Grant was unlike anyone else because she loved him, so to her, he was a unique presence, unlike anyone else.
"Sweet talker."
Leo Grant’s eyes were full of laughter as he gently rubbed Holly Sawyer’s head, his voice exceptionally soft.
The little girl really knew how to talk. He liked listening to her.
Holly Sawyer batted her eyes playfully: "Of course."
Words definitely needed to be well-spoken, otherwise how could she win Leo Grant’s favor?
"Learned it from you."
Holly Sawyer added playfully, her voice full of mischief.
Even Leo Grant learned how to be smooth-talking, so she couldn’t fall behind; she had to keep up with Leo Grant’s footsteps.
