The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot-Chapter 221: I’ll Handle It
Search for tutorials?
Noah Raines: "..."
Nathaniel Shaw: "..."
Wow, would the food taste good if cooked following tutorials?
They expressed deep doubts.
"What else?"
Leo Grant raised an eyebrow, carrying cut fruit as he walked out.
"Here, have some fruit."
Leo Grant placed the fruit in front of Holly Sawyer, and gently spoke, his voice incredibly tender.
"What are we eating today?"
Holly picked a piece of cantaloupe and slowly asked.
Nathaniel Shaw brought over a big bag of ingredients, and Noah brought a large case of beer, but they didn’t know what to eat tonight.
Leo Grant: "Hotpot."
"Do you know how?"
Holly popped another piece of cantaloupe in her mouth and looked at Leo, slowly inquiring.
"I’ll find a tutorial online, and if it doesn’t work, I’ll have the hotpot restaurant deliver."
Leo said, his tone gentle and soft.
If what he makes isn’t good, they can just have the restaurant deliver it, no big deal.
"I’ll do it, I’m good at this."
Holly immediately rolled up her sleeves and spoke slowly.
She knows how to make these and she feels the taste is pretty good, she has that confidence.
She quite likes eating hotpot, but sometimes she’s too lazy to go out, thinking it’s pretty nice to eat at home.
"No need, just watch TV and wait to eat."
Leo shook his head and gently ruffled Holly’s hair.
"I’ll do it."
Holly stood up, with no intention of listening.
If Noah and Nathaniel weren’t around, she might let Leo take his time, but now she feels this isn’t quite right.
Holly wanted to give Leo some face in front of his buddies.
Leo Grant: "..."
Holly walked straight into the kitchen.
"Sis-in-law, why did you come in?"
"Sis-in-law, what are you doing here?"
Nathaniel Shaw and Noah Raines spoke in unison.
They all knew Leo didn’t let Holly into the kitchen, so they were quite surprised at Holly walking in all of a sudden.
Holly countered: "Is that not okay?"
Nathaniel Shaw and Noah Raines didn’t know what to say; Holly was already inside—they couldn’t possibly kick her out.
Both nodded.
"Holly..."
"Shut up."
Leo also came in, originally intending to ask Holly to leave, but was quickly interrupted by her.
Holly glared fiercely at Leo.
Leo instantly fell silent, not daring to say a word, only touching his nose.
Fine, Holly had already spoken up, so he certainly didn’t dare say anything—he could only watch in silence.
"You guys wash the ingredients and give me the hotpot base."
Holly pointed at the shopping bag and spoke, her tone mild.
"Here."
Nathaniel quickly handed the hotpot base to Holly, unable to gauge her mood, not daring to refuse.
"Hey, give it to me."
Leo approached Holly and spoke softly, attempting to assert his presence.
He’d said he didn’t want Holly in the kitchen, yet now she was here openly, and he had no reason to chase her out.
And he couldn’t cook with the hotpot base; what if it turned out badly, right? 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
"Stay away from me, don’t block my work."
Holly shot Leo a glance.
If you don’t know how, then you don’t know—no need to show off by saying you’ll follow tutorials. Who makes delicious food the first time?
The answer is very few; cooking is a skill honed through practice.
When she made it for the first time, the taste wasn’t great, but it got better gradually.
"I’ll assist you then."
Leo sighed softly, speaking slowly, with a hint of helplessness.
No choice; he can’t do it himself, only watch Holly handle it.
"In the future, if there’s anything you can’t do, just tell me; I’m no pampered princess who can’t do these things."
"You can learn on your own usually, but ask for my help when necessary."
"I won’t get angry; on the contrary, I’ll feel glad to help."
Holly raised her eyes to Leo and spoke slowly, a trace of helplessness in her voice.
She knows Leo always wants to give her the best, wants to pamper her like a child, feels heartache for her.
But Holly thinks Leo is too good to her; she could do some tasks herself.
For example, in cooking, if Leo doesn’t know something, she could teach him or do it herself. She’s happy to.
"Okay, I understand."
Leo nodded.
"Go wash the vegetables; I’ll handle this."
Holly sent Leo off to wash vegetables; she didn’t need Leo here—another person would only get in the way.
"Alright."
Leo nodded, then reluctantly went to wash the vegetables.
"What’s up, did you provoke your little ancestor?"
Nathaniel laughed lightly upon seeing Leo come out, a bit gleefully, looking like he might get punched.
The three of them have a chat group and usually like to chat there when bored. Ever since Leo and Holly got together, Leo’s topics are almost all about Holly.
Noah and Nathaniel know very well what position Holly holds in Leo’s heart.
Leo: "No."
"Regret not learning to cook earlier. Otherwise, my girl wouldn’t need to go into the kitchen."
Leo glanced towards Holly, sighed heavily, and spoke slowly.
He’s breaking his own rule, watching Holly busy in the kitchen, despite saying she shouldn’t go there.
Noah Raines: "..."
Nathaniel Shaw: "..."
Wow, they thought something was wrong between them. Didn’t expect a dispute over the kitchen issue.
"You can enroll in a course, learn various things, home cooking, desserts, all kinds."
Nathaniel suggested.
Although they love to tease Leo for his actions towards Holly, they never deny Leo’s choices.
Girls should be pampered.
"I’ll do it once things settle."
Leo nodded earnestly.
He can make time to be with Holly now, but can’t squeeze out more time to learn cooking.
He’s genuinely quite busy.
There’s an old saying: time is like water from a sponge. If you’re willing to squeeze, there’s always some.
But Leo really can’t squeeze out more.
"Leo’s in a relationship now, leaving us two single dogs. Never thought Leo would be the first to get a girlfriend."
Noah sighed, saying—it really is quite surprising, never expected it.
"Yeah."
Nathaniel agreed.
"Oh."
Noah sighed heavily, feeling he’s probably the hardest one now.
