The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot-Chapter 234: Craving Skewers
"Hahaha, no, no, no, what’s yours is yours. Don’t give me the shares, I don’t want them."
Holly quickly waved her hands and said, these are things belonging to the Grant Family, although Leo Grant has taken over, the assets still truly belong to the Grants.
Because Leo’s last name is Grant, if he transferred all the shares to an outsider like her, gossip would be inevitable.
It’s better to stay out of such things; being carefree is always nice.
"What’s mine is yours."
Leo emphasized again, this is truly his belief, what belongs to him also belongs to Holly, and Holly could take them as she pleased.
"Just give me money to spend; I don’t need the shares."
Holly lounged on the sofa, lazily yawned, and spoke with a gentle tone.
Yes, just money to spend, not the shares, too much hassle.
"Alright."
Leo gently rubbed Holly’s head, his voice was tender.
What’s his is hers, no need to fuss over these things, as long as the girl is happy.
"Let’s go out for dinner tonight, shall we?"
Holly hugged Leo’s arm and said with a slight coquettish tone, her voice soft.
It’s been a while since they went out to eat together.
"Okay, is there anything you especially want to eat?"
Leo smiled as he slowly asked.
Catering to Holly’s tastes is the best, Leo has always felt this way.
"Shall we have some skewers?"
Holly blinked and spoke slowly, with a tone full of anticipation.
She feels there are so many delicious things she hasn’t tasted for a long time, and she misses that flavor.
"Sure."
Leo nodded in agreement, he definitely agreed.
Holly beamed with happiness.
"I’ll go change clothes."
Holly swiftly ran upstairs to change; she’d spent the entire day at home mostly in pajamas and was reluctant to change.
She liked the comfort of lounging in pajamas.
Leo waited downstairs for Holly.
He shook his head with amusement, this little foodie is always so enthusiastic when it comes to eating, not so much in other aspects.
Indeed, in the world of foodies, food reigns supreme, without a doubt.
"Spring is here, and you’re still wearing so much?"
Seeing Holly wrapped up warmly as she came downstairs, Leo teased, the girl truly is afraid of the cold.
Though the weather is warming up, the girl remains perpetually chilly.
"But it’s still cold. Maybe it’ll warm up after the Spring Festival."
Holly blinked lightly and spoke with a playful tone.
It really is still a bit chilly; she may not know about others, but she knows she finds it cold, truly cold.
It’s technically spring already, the weather’s warming bit by bit, yet she just can’t feel the warmth and senses the wind remains quite cold.
"This girl is really afraid of cold."
Leo pulled Holly into his arms, speaking softly.
He’d never seen a girl so averse to the cold.
Girls on the street, even in winter, are dressed thinly and fashionably, rarely wrapped up tightly.
Many prioritize style over warmth; this girl is exceptionally unique, preferring to bundle up thoroughly.
"I’m alright."
"Clara said dressing this way means I won’t find a boyfriend, yet I got one before her, hahaha."
Holly covered her mouth and laughed, her brows arching elegantly, making her look particularly pretty.
Indeed, Holly turned around in front of the mirror, truly finding herself wrapped securely, revealing only her eyes.
With this appearance, she hardly attracts attention, for truly she’s hidden away, hahaha.
"It’s a good thing Holly bundles up thoroughly, otherwise someone would’ve snatched you away long ago."
Leo pulled Holly back into his arms, speaking slowly; indeed, if Holly’s beauty were noticed earlier, he wouldn’t have had a chance.
"Never, I’m only fond of my brother."
Holly shook her head and said softly, her tone gentle.
The two soon went out, the streets brightly adorned with New Year’s decorations, lots of folks buying window decorations, couplets, lucky symbols, making the streets lively.
"It’s been a while since I’ve felt this kind of excitement."
Holly, arm in arm with Leo, strolled slowly down the street and sighed nostalgically.
Before, near New Year, she’d go to Rose Sawyer’s place, which was scenic, but far from town.
Though she never lacked food there, she was so lazy, mostly staying indoors.
Now Holly suddenly realized, during New Year prep, the streets are so lively.
"I’ll accompany you to feel this ever after."
Leo slightly lifted the corners of his mouth, speaking indulgently, his voice extremely gentle.
Holly nodded, "Okay."
With Leo around, her life would surely be fun, richly filled; Holly could already imagine such a life.
"Brother, I want some hand-grabbed pancakes."
Sharp-eyed Holly spotted a vendor selling hand-grabbed pancakes, she pulled Leo’s hand and walked forward.
A foodie’s persistence for good food is unmatched.
"I thought you wanted skewers?"
Leo paused for a moment and gently pointed it out.
They went out planning to eat skewers, but now Holly wants hand-grabbed pancakes; if she fills up, could she still eat skewers later?
"Yes."
Holly nodded without thinking.
"But there’s no conflict."
After a pause, Holly blinked again and said.
Eating skewers and hand-grabbed pancakes truly doesn’t conflict.
In Holly’s view, as long as the foods don’t clash, both can be eaten together, no problem.
"I know it doesn’t conflict."
"But if Holly gets full, how will we eat skewers later?"
Leo spoke kindly, gently rubbing Holly’s head, his voice indulgent and tender.
Holly already munched many snacks at home, and quite a few little cakes, the trash was left on the coffee table, and Leo noticed it clearly upon returning home.
Having eaten so much at home, now wanting hand-grabbed pancakes, could Holly’s little tummy truly handle so much?
Leo’s seen Holly’s appetite, yet still held some doubts.
"Not possible, how can one pancake fill me?"
Holly questioned, biting her lip lightly.
"After the pancake, I feel I could eat three bowls of rice; don’t worry about my appetite."
Holly patted her chest earnestly, her voice filled with seriousness.
