Chapter 23: Mission completed

The door swung open to reveal a butler, gray-haired, wearing a corporate outfit obviously meant for work.

Solomon stared at the figure that opened the door

"Young man, who are you? What are you doing here?" the butler asked.

Solomon took a deep breath, calming himself down and ignoring the fact that he had essentially invaded somebody’s home.

He put his hand in his pocket and brought out the ID card that was there. "I came to return this ID," he said, raising his hand to show the butler.

The butler looked at the ID and his eyes widened. Then he gasped with excitement. "This is the young master’s ID! He has been looking for it!" The butler’s voice filled with excitement. "Young man, you can give me the ID."

Solomon thought about it for a moment. That wouldn’t be possible.

He needed to meet Dylan Newton face to face so he could give him the ID personally and complete the mission. "No," Solomon said to the butler. "I want to personally give the ID to the young master myself."

"The young master is in," the butler said. "Okay, I will get him for you."

The butler left Solomon alone in the foyer. The entire space was made of steel, silver steel, all shining brilliantly.

It told the wealth of the A-Class clearly.

The walls were shining, the silver gleaming, the ceiling, everything looked advanced and expensive, like tons of billions had been spent to make this place.

Looking at all of this, Solomon thought of the D-Class.

They were still using concrete brick. They could barely survive the harsh weather conditions that came to them, but they were all surviving somehow.

But people in the A-Class? They had it better than everyone else. Everything felt secure and safe for them, well-prepared and protected.

Later, the butler returned, and a young-looking man approached him.

The man wore a white and blue outfit, white and blue shorts, and a white and blue shirt, like a football uniform. The guy’s hair was dyed blue.

His eyes were sharp, like somebody who didn’t take life seriously, like everything was just for fun. His face had the features of a ladies’ man, and he was built like somebody who exercised a lot.

"Are you the one looking for me?" the man, who was supposed to be Dylan Newton, approached Solomon with his hands in his pockets, facing him directly.

"Yes, I am Dylan ," the man confirmed. "Are you the one looking for me?"

"Yeah, I came to drop your ID," Solomon replied.

"Where did you get that from?" Dylan asked, looking at Solomon with narrowed eyes filled with suspicion, as if he didn’t understand where Solomon could have gotten it.

But Solomon also saw that Dylan had a brief idea of where he might have gotten the ID from.

"Can we talk in private?" Solomon cleared his throat and said.

"Sure, we can talk in private."

" But young master, do you know this young man? You need to stay away from random strangers," the butler interrupted, trying to convince Dylan not to let Solomon into their house.

"No worries, Butler Adams. No one can hurt me. I’m not easy to mess with," Dylan said with a chuckle.

They carried on their whole conversation like Solomon wasn’t even in the space. After their conversation ended, Dylan led Solomon deeper into the house.

The more they moved, the more Solomon could see the interior, advanced chairs that looked like they were made out of marble, obviously expensive, and soft decorations that obviously made one comfortable. Everything was beautiful.

The A-class was more advanced than the world that the D-Class people knew.

Dylan led him to a staircase. Solomon stood on the staircase, and it began to elevate automatically, taking them to the top floor. When they arrived at the top floor, they walked down a hallway to a closed door.

Dylan pressed some code digits, and the door opened. He went in and gestured for Solomon to follow him.

Solomon looked briefly at the door while Dylan was pressing the code, trying to see the digits he was entering so he could memorize them.

He couldn’t put his life at risk like that. What if Dylan tried something? What if he got in trouble here? He’d like to be able to unlock the door and escape, run if he had to, fight if he had to.

Dylan’s room was a space designed with white and blue accents. It had soft furniture and a comfortable bed.

The amount of blue he had seen since he got there was a lot; he couldn’t help but wonder if Dylan’s favorite color was blue.

"Tell me where you got my ID," Dylan said, taking a seat in the room while Solomon remained standing.

Solomon had completed the mission by finding Dylan Newton, but he didn’t answer immediately. The system hadn’t told him to give a response, and he worried about exposing the secret of his system. Then, a system notification appeared.

Mission Complete>Dylan Newton has been found.

"Let me guess," Dylan said. "The system gave you my ID, didn’t it? That’s the only way."

Solomon refused to answer. He couldn’t really talk about the system or expose it to this random guy, even though the system might somehow have a connection with Dylan .

Dylan collected the ID from Solomon’s hand and said, "Well, this was part of one of my missions in another universe. I lost my ID there. It’s been a week since I’ve been searching for this ID.

You don’t know how badly I missed it. I had to ask the butler to look for it, but the system gave it to you instead."

While Dylan was talking, a new system screen appeared above them. Solomon could see the screen, and weirdly enough, Dylan could also see it.
