A mass of immaterial darkness spread across the sky, covering the landscape with an ominous darkness.

Both Ariel and Noelia raised their gazes, watching as the immense mass of darkness writhed in the sky.

Before they could react, that mass of darkness and shadows twisted, forming a descending whirlwind.

The masses of darkness struck both girls with overwhelming force while pushing them downward.

Ariel acted first, using her song to start creating pink flames around her, seeking to block the darkness.

Meanwhile, Noelia tried to manipulate the texture of the darkness but unfortunately for her, it was in vain.

"What the hell is this?" Ariel asked as the flames extinguished in the darkness.

An immense pressure had descended upon them, subjecting them to great torsional forces.

Their bodies were pushed against the ground, but before falling, Noelia manipulated the texture of space and folded it.

Thanks to that, she managed to escape that current of darkness.

However, Ariel wasn’t so lucky and her body was struck against the ground with force.

Luckily her "magical dress" had several magical protections that cushioned the fall.

The redhead acted quickly, changing the music she was emitting.

Rapidly the immense column of darkness filled with hundreds of multicolored flashes which exploded violently.

The darkness weakened but continued exerting pressure on Ariel.

Then the great mass of darkness began leaving the sky, spreading over the ground.

Aku was inside that darkness, falling toward the ground at great speed.

"Enough! [Celestial Sword Dance: Descending Stars]," Noelia roared in the sky as she summoned the rest of the weapons she had.

They were various oriental weapons which glowed and accelerated at great speed by an induced electromagnetic force.

The darkness was riddled by dozens of bright weapons which violently pierced through the darkness.

Upon hitting the ground, multiple light explosions were unleashed that considerably reduced the volume of the mass of darkness.

At the same time, Ariel formed a dome of concentrated pink flames around her to protect herself from the flames.

"What kind of vile art is this?" Noelia questioned as she observed the darkness crawling across the ground.

Then her instinct activated.

Multiple blue flashes began glowing around her, and before she could react, several ice stars crystallized around her.

"Did you really forget about me!?" Bīng Xuě asked with a smile as the ice hand beneath him turned to dust.

Bīng Xuě had divided that gigantic construction into billions of dense ice crystals in the shape of sharp stars.

With one movement, an immense gust of this "ice sand" accelerated against Noelia.

However, she activated her ability, generating electromagnetic radiation to melt the ice masses around her.

"You should have died a while ago!" the girl exclaimed as she expelled great waves of light against Bīng Xuě’s attack.

Seeing how that ice dust evaporated easily, Bīng Xuě had to repeat a play.

"Raising temperature is [Taboo]," Bīng Xuě ordered with an amused smile on his face.

The laws of the world were rewritten in a specific area.

The premise was clear.

Temperature could drop but not rise. That meant it was now impossible to heat his ice.

Noelia watched confused as that ice sand kept advancing and struck her head-on.

If not for her enchanted attire, she most surely would have died, since her only ability was texture manipulation, but her physical stats were those of a normal human.

Seeing how they were trying to crush her, Noelia changed strategy, altering the texture of space to create gravitational waves around her.

Bīng Xuě was hit by that invisible force, but thanks to his curse he was able to resist the damage.

Meanwhile, Aku had started gathering the darkness around him.

[Nyargoohl] had been released and was stronger than ever.

The darkness gathered around Aku, spinning at great speed like a whirlwind.

A tornado of tangible darkness that shredded everything it encountered.

"How disgusting," Ariel complained, looking at that tornado of darkness with disgust and contempt. "Time to finish you off!"

She affirmed as the flames around her concentrated into a sphere of compressed flames.

That fire didn’t burn as such, but rather imitated or projected a similar interaction, so the effect of the taboo didn’t directly affect it.

The girl pointed her staff at Aku, and the sphere obeyed that gesture, sending a jet of compressed fire toward Aku.

An intense blaze traveled toward the tornado of darkness, but it didn’t collapse.

The flames were dispersed and swallowed by the current of darkness without reaching Aku.

"Tch, how annoying," Ariel grumbled as she placed one of her arms on her hip.

Aku didn’t fail to counterattack. Suddenly the air filled with purple sparks, and multiple weapons began materializing in the air.

At an immeasurable speed, the weapons began accelerating toward Ariel, seeking to destroy her.

The melody changed quickly. Several invisible shields manifested around the girl, strategically placed to deflect the weapons.

"I need to find another way to attack him," the girl thought as she got on her staff and began flying.

The attacks continued relentlessly. Multiple weapons of all types were fired at the girl as she fled and summoned more shields.

She had to manage to attack Aku, but how would she do it with his unbreakable protection?

The only thing the girl could think of was to make a concentrated and much more powerful attack.

But that wasn’t a strategy.

Suddenly, several tentacles of darkness emerged from the ground, trying to grab her.

Ariel acted quickly, rapidly ascending to the skies while nimbly dodging the tentacles and weapons lunging at her.

The girl climbed and climbed as she watched that tornado of darkness approach her.

If Aku caught up to her, she would be in trouble.

It was then that something occurred to her.

"I wonder if that tornado can compete with a real weather phenomenon," the girl wondered.

A smile drew itself on her face. Ariel already knew what song to sing.
