The SSS Ranked Villain's Return-Chapter 283: Zaria
Neraxis gently raised his hand, and in the very next moment, caught every single arrow heading toward him.
He either destroyed them entirely or simply caught them to assert dominance before throwing them onto the ground.
Then, Neraxis flashed a massive grin, used his Domain, and reappeared right behind her.
Zaria was shocked at what was happening as she turned around, trying to fire an arrow point-blank.
However, before she could do that, Neraxis brought his finger back and then weakly flicked her forehead.
Although it was weak, it was more than enough to make Zaria falter, drop her bow, and fall to her knees.
She had a dazed look on her face, but it only lasted for a moment as she suddenly regained her senses and sent a kick straight to his balls.
As sturdy as Neraxis was, he had no choice but to catch her foot, yoink the bow out of her hands, and store it in his dimensional ring.
"You fucker..." Zaria muttered with a glare. "Give that back. Now."
"Hmm... maybe if you answer a few questions," Neraxis replied.
She rolled her eyes. "Are you some kind of masochistic pervert? Is that it?"
"Nope." Neraxis shook his head. "Though I'm sure we'd get along, Zaria Velora."
"So you do know my name, you fucking stalker." Zaria scoffed and slowly stood up. "Here I thought we had a real thing going there for a second. Guess I was wrong. Tell my parents I ran away or something, keep the bow as proof. I'll give you double what they paid you to get me."
"They paid me 2 trillion to get you and also guard you until you finished the academy," Neraxis stated teasingly, causing her brows to furrow.
"4 trillion is doable, but the academy? That bullshit fiasco? Why would I even care about that? They're literally teaching economics. Do they not know I'm rich?" Zaria shot back.
"Pfft..." Neraxis held back a laugh. "I was just kidding. No one hired me. I just happened to stumble upon you by accident."
"And now you're following me like some sort of stalker. I hope you understand how it looks," Zaria added, exhausted. "Look man, just give me back the bow then, and I'll get out of your hair. If you want money, then I'll give you money."
Neraxis shook his head, and in the very next moment, undid his disguise.
His white hair and slightly golden tips reappeared, followed by his glowing purple eyes staring back at her.
She flinched, narrowing her eyes. "...Do I know you?"
Immediately, hope was reignited in his heart.
After all, the rest of the heroes seemed to regain their memories when they saw him. However...

"Oh!" Zaria facepalmed. "You're that immortality guy, right? If I kill you I get it or something."
"..." Neraxis sighed. "I am. But do you not remember me at all? Maybe a lingering memory or something?"
"Why? Do you think just because you're somewhat good-looking I fantasize about you?" Zaria scoffed. "Nope. I just saw you on the TV once, and the public keeps murmuring about you. It's an interesting offer, but personally, I wouldn't want to be immortal."
Neraxis tilted his head. "Don't you think it would be romantic to spend eternity with your partner?"
It was a bit of a naive thought, but he had considered it.
If he could stay with all the girls he knew forever, then it wouldn't be so bad.
But it seemed like Zaria didn't share the same sentiment.
"Partner? Mate... I don't even have friends." Zaria chuckled. "The last thing I want to worry about is living forever and alone. That just sucks."
"I see..." Neraxis muttered. "Sorry for bringing it up... I guess I just expected you to remember me. But I guess I'm not that lucky."
Zaria seemed slightly puzzled, but she still merely shrugged his words off as she walked to him and looked up into his eyes.
She was a little short, her head barely reaching his nose—which made her look especially cute as she stared up at him.
Especially when her pouting face was clearly visible.
"Now that we got that out of the way, mister immortal. Could I get my bow back? It's an heirloom from my grandma. If I lose it, then she's going to come out of her grave and choke me to death or something."
"Sure..." Neraxis sighed and handed it over.
Yet as Zaria accepted and was prepared to leave, he stopped her.
"Wait," Neraxis called out. "You said you didn't have friends, right? So, do you want to be my friend?"
Zaria's eyes widened, but in the very next moment, she looked down and then extended her middle finger toward him.
"No thanks, see ya."
With that, she dashed onto the next roof, and then the next, until eventually, she left his sight.
The sirens blared again as he saw multiple helicopters appear in the sky, all heading in her direction.
But instead of moving, Neraxis stood there, completely stunned.
I can see why I liked her... Fuck Alice for taking those feelings away from me, Neraxis thought with a frown.
However, there wasn't much he could do at the moment. If he chased after her, then she would think he was a creep.
Though, at the very least, he could halt her pursuers.
Neraxis focused and then extended his fingertips.
In the next moment, a dozen Sun Threads appeared, each of them shooting off into the sky and tying down the helicopters' blades.
Immediately, the helicopters began to fall, and of course, since he didn't want to directly kill the people, he used Sun Threads to take them out of the helicopters right before impact, then tied them to nearby balconies.
Nonetheless, he found what he was looking for, and now, all he wanted was to slowly get closer to her.
And for that, he needed to figure out what all that family drama was about.
Well... guess it's time to meet my future in-laws.
