The Strong, The Few, True Cultivators on Campus-Chapter 188
Chapter 188: The Three Rules
When Wang Huzi saw Tang Zheng walked towards him, he put his head on the ground. He didn’t dare to face Tang Zheng.
Everyone held their breath as they didn’t know how Tang Zheng would handle Wang Huzi.
“Wang Huzi, I’m a man of my word, since you promised to compensate Grandpa with your junk shop. I will let you go, but before you leave you have to admit your mistakes in front of these elderly people. If your attitude is still not fixed, then I don’t mind teaching you.” Tang Zheng said.
As soon as Wang Huzi heard that he was forgive, he knelt down on his knees and kowtowed to the group of old people and asked for forgiveness, “Fellow Sirs, I, Wang Huzi was possessed. I was the worst. Please let me live, I will never dare to do that again.”
Several old men looked at each other. They had always felt inferior to Wang Huzi. Never daring to speak out. Never have they thought that there would be a day when Wang Huzi would kneel and kowtow to them and beg for mercy. They could not help but feel that it was all a dream, too unreal.
The crowd subconsciously looked at Tang Zheng, this was all his credit. Everyone basked in his light. They thought Tang Zheng would meet some trouble on his trip. But now they found out that he was full of confidence and didn’t even put Wang Huzi in his eyes.
They had mixed emotions. Why didn’t they have the luck of Old Tang to have raised such a capable grandson.
However, they were still a little overwhelmed and didn’t know how to repost. Wang Huzi was seeking for mercy, so they all turned to Tang Dahai.
Unknowingly, Tang Dahai become the pillar of this group of old people.
Tang Dahai saw what was in their minds, shook his head helplessly and gradually accepted the change of his identity. He looked down at Wang Huzi and said, “Wang Huzi, today we’ll let you go, I hope you can make a fresh start in the future. Don’t bully people by force or you’ll end up worse than today.”
Wang Huzi had no thought of rebelling. He was too busy kowtowing his head, “Thank you, Sir. I’ll sincerely remember it. I will never dare to do it again.”
Tang Dahai nodded towards Tang Zheng. He understood and said, “Wang Huzi, today you are no longer allowed in Chang Heng. If I ever see you here again, the consequence would be dire.”
“Yes, Young Master Tang, I will go away now.”
Wang Huzi was in a mess, as if he had been fished out of the water. His clothes were completely wet as he got up and quickly ran outside the door.
“Wait! Take away your lackeys.” Tang Zheng pointed at the thugs lying on the ground.
“Yes, I’ll immediately take care of it and disappear immediately.” Wang Huzi help the wounded as their legs was broken and unable to stand. Some of them did not stop and instead they impatiently crawled with their hands out of the courtyard.
A moment later, Wang Huzi and his thugs disappeared and the yard was quiet for a moment. Only the blood on the ground and the corpse of the wolfhound reminded them of what had just happened.
Dong Zi looked at Tang Zheng anxiously. This time he was wrongly accused. He didn’t know what punishment he would face.
“Young Master Tang, I…” Dong Zi asked as he trembled.
Tang Zheng waved as he motioned him to stop. He then turned towards the crowd and the elderly and said, “From now on, my grandfather owns this junk shop. Now, Grandpa, please say a few words.” Tang Zheng then clapped.
Dong Zi and the rest immediately followed up as they clapped vigorously. Everyone wore a happy expression as the watched Tang Dahai.
“Old Tang, from now on, we will have to rely on you for food. Please say a few words.” Several old men were starting a ruckus.
Tang Dahai beckons with his hand and said, “What should I say?”
Tang Zheng encouraged him and said, “Grandpa, just speak casually, no need to be nervous.”
Looking at his grandson’s encouraging eyes, Tang Dahai obviously knew his good intentions. He took a deep breath as he suppressed his excitement and said, “Well, then I will give a small speech. What happened today was far from what I expected, but fortunately, Wang Huzi, that scoundrel, will no longer exist. This junk shop is not only mine but for everyone. From this day forward, I will buy your scraps at the most reasonable price and improve the lives of my fellow old friends in the future. I, Tang Dahai, have worked so hard all my life, so I clearly understand the difficulties you’ve all been through. Therefore, I’ll try to accomplish it one step at a time with all my power.”
Silence filled the air as everyone head his speech. Many of the old people felt the same way. Their eyes moistened as they tried hard to keep it in.
“Old Tang, we trust you, thank you. Thank you for your grandson.” Suddenly, the crowd got excited as they shouted, words of gratitude rang one after another.
“This is what we should do.” Tang Dahai was so embarrassed as he beckoned his hand hastily. But his face was filled with smile as he was extremely proud.
Tang Zheng also smiled, his grandfather had his own life goals and now he wouldn’t be bored. The junk shop would certainly be prosperous and no one would come to trouble.
Everyone was clear of this point, so they were reassured and cheered.
“Grandpa, you guys will be busy. I’ll head back first.” Tang Zheng said his goodbyes.
Other people were still admiring Tang Zheng. Tang Dahai nodded his head to his grandson’s departure.
Tang Zheng walked out of the courtyard. Laughters and cheers were coming from the courtyard. The corner of his lips were involuntary pointing up.
Footsteps came from behind as Dong Zi followed. Tang Zheng’s face sank as he said, “Take me to see Lin Hu and tell Fire Phoenix to come together.”
Dong Zi promptly notified his two big bodyguards.
After half an hour, Tang Zheng, Lin Hu and Fire Phoenix were sitting in the office of Shengshi Bar. Lin Hu and Fire Phoenix looked at Tang Zheng in astonishment and found that he looked very serious. They didn’t know what had happened.
Tang Zheng pointed at the standing Dong Zi and said, “Did you tell them what happened?”
Lin Hu and Fire Phoenix looked at Dong Zi suspiciously, especially Lin Hu. After all, Dong Zi was his right hand man. It was obvious he was the reason that Young Master Tang was pissed.
Dong Zi looked pale as he told the matter of Wang Huzi. Suddenly, the faces of the two biggest boss changed. No wonder Tang Zheng was so angry when it was his family that was involved.
Lin Hu roared right after, “Dong Zi, what were you doing all day? Do you want to die, you dared offend his grandfather?”
Dong Zi’s heart trembled and said quickly, “Brother Lin Hu, I didn’t know a thing. I definitely wouldn’t dare to disrespect his grandfather.”
Fire Phoenix persuaded, “Brother Lin Hu, try to calm down. There is definitely something hidden behind it.”
Tang Zheng coldly snorted and said, “Dong Zi truly doesn’t know about this. But can’t you find anything wrong with this incident?”
“This…” Lin Hu and Fire Phoenix looked at each other in dismay as could not understand what was on Tang Zheng’s mind.
Lin Hu thought for a moment and followed Tang Zheng as he probed, “Young Master Tang wanted to warn others as to not bully the weak?”
Tang Zheng looked at him in appreciation and said, “We are the true people of the underworld, but must the same group of people bully the ordinary folks? In what sense does this accomplish?”
Fire Phoenix gradually figured out the context and said, “Young Master Tang is benevolent and admirable. In fact, most of the time we are in two separate worlds. We don’t provoke each other.”
“Really? Then why did I see it differently, people of the underworld seemed to be unreasonably ignorant and strong. It’s not difficult to explain why ordinary people are biased against us. We are always the bad guys, whether we are right or wrong.” Tang Zheng said coldly.
This was the view of ordinary people, before Tang Zheng used to view them the same way. Thing was, this is something no one can teach. It’s as if its common sense.
But the more Tang Zheng was in contact with the people of the underworld, the clearer he understood that there was no difference between them and the common people. He wondered how things turned out this way.
Tang Zheng thought that this was the result of decades long of terrorizing. Tang Zheng became a part of them just recently, normally he wouldn’t care about such matter.
But now he was the Boss of the Chang Heng Underworld and he naturally has the responsibility and obligation to take care of the reputation of his group.
Why can’t the image of the underworld people change? Why do they have to be brutal and cold-hearted?
He had to turn it around and now he had the power to do so.
This was something that Lin Hu and Fire Phoenix, who have been in the underworld for decades, didn’t think about at all. They seem to accept this fixed image in their minds.
Tang Zhang was able to receive traditional education from an early age and with his grandfather’s careful guidance, obviously did not agree with this.
Ling Hu and Fire Phoenix listened to Tang Zhang’s rhetorical question in silence. As they thought about it, this issue had always been taken for granted.
“Young Master Tang, what do you mean?”
“What I meant was very simple, just change the current image.” Tang Zhang said with no doubt.
Lin Hu and Fire Phoenix smiled bitterly, “This is easier said than done.”
“Start by doing what’s necessary, then what’s possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” Tang Zhang boldly said.
Lin Hu and Fire Phoenix looked at each other and said, “Well, since Young Master said so, naturally we agree. No one wants to be regarded as vicious and cold-hearted person. But how will we achieve this?
“There were no rules and regulations in Chang Heng. So after taking things to consideration, I’ve made three rules. First, no one can bully the weak ordinary people. Second, no drugs are allowed in Chang Heng. I don’t care how popular drug was in the past. Since this is now my territory. Everyone must follow my word otherwise all those involved would be thrown out of Chang Heng with both their legs broken.”
Since taking over Hoodlum’s territory, the continuous income of drugs made it difficult for the two to make a decision, but since Tang Zheng had decided, although many people would be against it. They still chose to execute it without a word.
Seeing the two of them have no objections, Tang Zheng continued to say, “Thirdly, in the event of any disaster, such as floods or hurricane. The underworld people should lend a helping hand. This is the best way to promote our positive side. This is the third rule, I hope to convey it and let everyone carry it out.”
