Chapter 866: Chapter 860: The Town Boundary Colored Glaze

“We must try, whether we succeed or not is up to fate,” Nero Harvey said bluntly.

“Taking this opportunity, I can also exchange blows with David Jones again.”

Natalie Laurie sipped her tea, “Now I see why you have the time to join this operation, it’s to gather intelligence on your opponent.”

“Knowing oneself and the enemy, one can fight without fear of defeat. David Jones is an opponent worthy of attention,” Nero Harvey remarked, his eyes squinting slightly, not hiding his thoughts.

“But this time, I will win it all!” he declared with sparkling eyes.

...

“Suit yourself, I’m not getting involved in this Trial of Azure Dragon anyway,” Natalie Laurie put down her teacup.

A breeze blew, and the room quickly fell silent again.

“Knock knock!” There was a knock at the door.

Blake Easton: “Come in.”

David Jones pushed the door open and entered, finding an extra Deity Trainer had joined this operation.

“Good, this operation is secured!” David Jones thought to himself.

Even though the Evil Soul Sect is despised by all, the fact that it has survived under the year-long suppression of the Federation of Trainer Guild shows its strength is not weak and should not be underestimated.

With three Deity Trainers taking action, even if Master Cloud Divot’s intelligence was a trap deliberately set by the Evil Soul Sect, they could still level everything.

“Alright, since everyone is here, we should set off,” Blake Easton said.

In the northern part of Southriver Province lay Mountain Vigilantte.

The mountain soared into the clouds, shrouded in mist like a celestial realm, famous for its treacherous terrain and unpredictable climate.

However, given Mountain Vigilantte’s complex topography, winding and steep trails, and its scant Arcane Force, it was rarely frequented by Beasts, leaving the area desolate year-round, and hardly any Trainer willing to venture there.

Yet, within this uninhabited mountain range, there lay hidden three terrifying Calamities capable of obliterating cities and creating mountains of corpses and seas of blood.

“It’s been seven days; why haven’t they come!”

Master Cloud Divot wondered.

“Could it be that the head of the Yule family, coveting the Glazed Griffin’s feathers, has hidden them away?”

Master Cloud Divot shook his head, feeling that was unlikely.

After all, he had let the avatar of the Cloud Soaring Glazed Griffon release the Domination of an Eighth Order Emperor, so how could a mere King Trainer dare to defy?

“Damn it, I might as well have fled earlier.”

He glanced at a distant cave, exuding a terrifying aura, with a look of apprehension in his eyes.

At that moment, a profound sense of dread suddenly surged through Master Cloud Divot’s heart, and he turned to look.

Without knowing when, a pale-faced Fire Charm had quietly appeared behind him.

“Lord Fire Charm, do you have any orders for me?” Master Cloud Divot bent slightly, quite sensibly asking.

He was confident that he could defeat Fire Charm, and he was even confident that he could beat the combined forces of Fire Charm and Ice Shine, but he was truly afraid of Gold Ghost alone.

Unlike man-made Calamities like Fire Charm and Ice Shine, which were armed with Mysterious Beasts, Gold Ghost was a true Eighth Order Calamity.

Such a creature was among the strongest under the Demon God, not something an ordinary Legendary Beast Tamer could handle, only a Deity Trainer was qualified to contend with, and even suppress it.

Master Cloud Divot had a clear understanding of himself.

Faced with artificial Calamities, he could still rely on the extreme speed of the Wind Stepping Tiger to flee, but against a true Eighth Order Calamity, fleeing would only lead to a dead end.

“When will David Jones arrive?”

No sooner had he spoken than eight spider-like eerie limbs suddenly emerged from Fire Charm’s face, gently caressing the puzzled Master Cloud Divot.

“What! When was the plan changed?”

“Playing dumb is useless.” Fire Charm smiled creepily, “Idiot.”

Boom!

Fire Charm pressed down a claw and fully transformed into the Illusion Weaving Spider.

“Roar!”

The Wind Stepping Tiger roared, unleashing the Emptiness Wind, summoning tornadoes condensed with the Rule of Wind to sweep around, shielding Master Cloud Divot.

“Quick, get out of here.”

Without sparing a glance at the Illusion Weaving Spider, which the violent wind had severed in half, Cloud Divot flipped onto the back of the Wind Stepping Tiger.

“Too slow, Fire Charm.”

Boom!

Master Cloud Divot’s body stiffened as he looked down to see a soul-snatching, fiery golden spear erupt from the ground, impaling both him and the Wind Stepping Tiger completely.

“No!”

With eyes widened from the devastating blow, Master Cloud Divot gazed in shock.

In the next instant, as space distorted, the sharp fiery golden spear burst forth with strange patterns, completely devouring Cloud Divot and the Wind Stepping Tiger.

“Creak, creak!”

From within the thick, fiery golden mist, the sound of chewing suddenly emerged.

After some time, as the sounds quieted down, Gold Ghost, reverted back to human form, approached Fire Charm with blood at the corner of his mouth.

“Cloud Divot has rebelled, the plan to assassinate has changed, we must retreat immediately.”

However, just then, an invisible barrier connected heaven and earth, locking down space, and completely sealed off Mountain Vigilante, causing Fire Charm, Ice Shine, and Gold Ghost to stiffly look up.

“Are we a step too late?”

As soon as Gold Ghost finished speaking, four figures with strong auras stepped into the void, exuding a heaven-splitting, earth-shattering sense of oppression.

These four were none other than David Jones and Blake Easton with their group.

“We were almost too late.”

Gazing at the bloodstains below, David Jones’s eyes narrowed slightly.

“I’ve completely locked down this space. Unless a Class IX Immortal makes a move, this bunch of rats from the Evil Soul Sect definitely can’t escape.”

In Blake Easton’s hand, the glazed lamp released a silver flame that froze space, instantly drawing David Jones’s gaze.

It was a lamp resembling crystal, its surface shimmering with flowing light, made of neither gold nor jade but seeming to contain a myriad of stars – a delicate glazed lamp with immense fame among the upper echelons of Rosewood College.

Even without using his Golden Eyes of Flame, David Jones could immediately recognize its identity.

[World Suppressing Glazed Lamp]: A nine-refined heritage weapon left by Saint Ingersoll, a treasure that constitutes the foundation of Rosewood College. The lamp contains an Immortal Pharmacy Flame within – the World Suppressing Glazing Flame – capable of locking down and suppressing space, or calling upon Immortal divine flames to burn down Eighth Order Quasi-Gods.

The Deity Trainers also vary in strength, and Blake Easton is not yet a Quasi-God. To activate the World Suppressing Glazed Lamp, it requires a tremendous amount of energy.

Otherwise, the release of the Immortal divine flame would immediately reduce the three Calamities below to ash.

However, even so, Blake Easton could still fortify his pet with the power of the World Suppressing Glazed Lamp to confront a Supreme Deity; such is the prowess of a nine-refined heritage weapon.

“Mr. Divot, if a Class IX Immortal were to make a move right now, I’m afraid we’d be the ones needing to run.” Nero Harvey joked, only to earn a roll of the eyes from Natalie Laurie.

David Jones then had a thought, keenly sensing the suppressing power of the World Suppressing Glazing Flame on the space, his eyes flashing with understanding.

Although the World Suppressing Glazed Lamp could lock down space, it also had its limits.

If he were to unleash the Dragon-Wielding power within him to ignite the Hidden Dragon Fire, even the World Suppressing Glazed Lamp could not prevent him from tearing open space to leave.

“How about we each take one, leaving Mr. Divot to command the rear?”

Natalie Laurie glanced over David Jones and Nero Harvey, then suddenly suggested.

“Eek!” “Mee!” “Meh!” “Chirp chirp!”

Upon hearing this, Rainbow, Daphne, and Loona immediately volunteered for battle, and even Lolo, who usually disliked fighting, opened her mouth unusually.

Obviously, the Evil Soul Sect’s attempt to assassinate David Jones had truly enraged Rainbow and the others.

As for the Gluttonous Beast and Goldy, they were not acting rashly, knowing that they were currently ill-equipped to confront an Eighth Order Calamity.
