After a while, Kimura Kazuki let go of Furuhashi Harunaka's hand as he stood up and said, "Alright, you don't have to practice for a week. Just rest well and take good care of your own body, you can still join the competition."

He did not say much, but Harunaka nodded her head happily. Her arms that had hurt so much before felt much better now. She thought for a moment before lifting herself off the hospital bed with both her hands and sat up. The Furuhashi sisters were stunned. Before this, even the slightest movement would cause Harunaka to be in so much pain, but now, she was already able to sit up by herself.

Akino's eyes turned to Kimura Kazuki as she pulled on his clothes and asked sweetly, "Kimura-senpai, how did you heal Harunaka's body?"

Eyeing Akino briefly, Kimura Kazuki calmly replied, "The power of friendship."

Pfft...

The Furuhashi sisters laughed out loud.

Although Harunaka laughed as well, her eyes were filled with disappointment. Am I just a friend in his heart then? It seems that I have to work harder.

As Kimura Kazuki bid the Furuhashi sisters goodbye, he could see the curiosity lurking in Harunaka's eyes. Even so, he did not mention much about the issue with the demon. He did not mind explaining things to Harunaka, but he would only do so when Furuhashi Harunaka had the ability for it and insisted upon knowing.

As Kimura Kazuki headed out, he noticed Ikioi Ito poised to knock on the door.

"Is there anything I can help you with?"

Ikioi Ito raised his phone and whispered, "We've got another victim, the Otake Police Department just texted me. Should we head to Reimei District and take a look?"

Kimura Kazuki was surprised as he had not expected Ryo Otake to inform Ikioi

Ito. However, he merely nodded his head without saying a word.

Half an hour later, both of them had arrived at Reimei District and quickly came to the Imei Neighborhood. Upon reaching the first unit on the ninth floor of the eighth block, they immediately noticed the Otake Police Department that stood outside the entrance along with seven men who stood there with upset looks on their faces. All seven of them would occasionally look at one another with an inexplicable emotion in their eyes.

Ikioi Ito almost laughed upon seeing the seven men, but swiftly regained his composure as someone passed by, and he began looking at the seven men pitifully. They were all just backups... God knows who was a legitimate boyfriend. Ritsuko Yasuhara had probably treated all seven of them as backups.

Once Ryo Otake noticed Kimura Kazuki making his way toward him, he could not help but heave a sigh of relief. He had put all his hopes of cracking the case upon Kimura Kazuki, and now that he was finally here, it was as if he had found his lifeline.

He could not help it since he was out of ideas, and these two cases were way too confusing. He had even called up two detectives to work on the matter. Unfortunately, both the detectives had found no clues in Kotone Mikami's home. Thus, he had given up on the detectives and could only hope that Kimura Kazuki would be able to help him.

As for Ikioi Ito, he assumed that he was Kimura Kazuki's friend and had hence informed him too.

"Let me take a look inside first."

"Alright." This time, Ryo Otake did not let his police officers follow him inside but went in personally instead.

As Kimura Kazuki entered the house, he began to subtly sniff around and furrowed his brows because there was no unusual odor. Whether it had been the home of Kotone Mikami or Ritsuko Yasuhara, there had not been the special scent of demons at all. Unless the demon was really a demon in Metamorphosis State? Just the thought of it made Kimura Kazuki feel as if this case had gotten slightly trickier.

Ikioi Ito, on the other hand, was gossiping by the side as he asked the Otake Police Department, "Are all of those seven men that Yasu...Yasu- Whatever her

name's boyfriends?"

"The victim's name is Ritsuko Yasuhara." Ryo Otake emphasized once again before nodding his head, "You're right, they're all Miss Yasuhara's boyfriends." He eyed Ikioi Ito as he suddenly thought of something and teased him, "Don't worry, they're all backups just like you, you all have the same status."

Ikioi Ito's face darkened, but he still asked out of curiosity, "This Miss Yasuhara had seven boyfriends, but didn't get exposed?"

"No, even though Miss Yasuhara was a white-collar office lady, she would allocate time every day to go on dates, one boyfriend for each day of the week. As for her weekends, she would pick the two of best-looking men among the seven for dates."

Ikioi Ito was about to comment on how stupid these people were for not realizing the situation they were in. Still, thinking back to how he too had not realized that Kotone Mikami had other partners, in the beginning, he refrained from making such a comment. As for Kimura Kazuki, who walked in front, he quickly came into the bedroom and stared at the chalk outline of the human silhouette on the ground...

Another victim dismembered at the waist.

"Are there any pictures?" he asked Ryo Otake.

"Yes, there is." Ryo Otake had already prepared it earlier on and instructed a nearby police officer to bring over the picture.

Soon enough, Kimura Kazuki got hold of the picture and saw the face of a woman that was twisted with eyes that were filled with fear as if she had seen something horrifying. Although her face was twisted, it was still faintly visible that Ritsuko Yasuhara had been rather pretty.

No matter if it was Kotone Mikami or Ritsuko Yasuhara, they had both been beautiful ladies.

Both victims had beautiful appearances and were both bodies that had been severed at the waist.

As he thought about it, Kimura Kazuki's head began to hurt, and he regretted not learning more spells in his past life. Otherwise, he could have found the demon instantly with the help of some special spells without having to rack his brains now. There would have been no hiding from him even within the worldwide web. However, as it was now, he could only wait for the Usui Spirit's information to find the demon's corpse before he could figure out anything else.

If the demon's corpse had been destroyed, then even the Usui Spirit would not be of much help.

Ryo Otake noticed that Kimura Kazuki was frowning, but before he could ask about it, he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. Pulling out his phone as he moved to the side to answer it, he spoke into the phone, "Hello."

Within a mere few seconds, his facial expression had changed considerably, "What? Another victim?"

He was a distance away, Kimura Kazuki had sensitive hearing and glanced at the Otake Police Department. At this moment, Ryo Otake looked over with a pale face, "Another victim has been found dead in Heiwa District. Similarly, the cause of death was also dismemberment at the waist, and the crime happened at home."

"Let's go take a look." Swiftly, Ryo Otake led both Kimura Kazuki and Ikioi Ito into the police car and rushed to Heiwa District. On the way there, Ryo Otake informed Kimura Kazuki of the fresh information coming in about the victim.

The victim's name was Ri Takayanagi, and she was also a female, she was 26 years old and had been a property agent. The photo of her death had also been received by her boyfriends. Indeed, Ri Takayanagi had dated three men at once and was also a cheater.

Ikioi Ito had a strange look on his face, "Why are all the victims cheaters?" At this point, he finally realized something was not right.

"Perhaps the murderer is a feminist and feels that both men and women should be equal," joked Ryo Otake dryly.

Soon, the three of them arrived at the crime scene.

As Kimura Kazuki entered the room, he could pick up the strong smell of blood as well as an unknown smell masked within the bloodshed.

This scent was extremely faint.
