This group consisted of five kinds of spirits, each shaped like different animals from the human world.

Each of these spirits possessed five distinct powers.

Though they were unique, their abilities shared common properties and originated from the same part of the universe.

Damian was determined to obtain all five of these powers for himself.

His figure appeared in front of another non-elemental spirit, a majestic lion the size of an elephant.

Damian wouldn't lie, it was an awe-inspiring sight.

The lion spirit seemed to sense Damian's presence as it opened its large brown eyes and glanced at him.

Damian met its gaze, and for a moment, it felt as if they were communicating through their minds.

Before Damian could even ask to be taught its way of power, the lion spirit stood up and walked toward him.

He heard its voice in his mind, telling him that it would teach him.

These spirits had been very helpful, actually, they were incredibly forthcoming whenever he asked for any kind of assistance.

Following the lion spirit's instructions, Damian sat down in a lotus position, keeping his posture straight, and closed his eyes.

After confirming that Damian had entered a state of complete concentration, the lion spirit gently lifted its paw and placed it on his forehead.

The reason the spirits asked him to sit still and enter deep concentration was that before they could teach him their ways, they first needed to confirm whether he had the talent to attune to their energy.

They tested this by placing their limb on his forehead and injecting a small amount of their energy into him.

If he proved to have the talent, they would continue injecting more and more energy, followed by instructions on how to cultivate it on his own just as they did.
