The System Awakens: Rise of the Champion-Chapter 151: The Biblical Pantheon
When it came to dealing with the Biblical Hell, Damian was interested in three main things.
First, if he managed to conquer the entirety of Hell, he would command legions upon legions of demons, potentially billions of demons of all shapes and sizes.
Second, he would gain major control over the souls of the damned that pass through Hell's system.
This would mean he controlled one part of the Biblical pantheon, as Hell is a fundamental counterpart to Heaven in that cosmology.
Third, since Biblical Hell is an integral part of the Biblical pantheon, becoming the King of Hell would also place him on equal footing with the Heavenly Father, the God-King of the Biblical pantheon.
Each divine pantheon operates under its own unique structure, with different ways the gods govern their heavens, hells, and divine realms.
In the Biblical pantheon, the entire structure is generally divided into two realms: Heaven and Hell.
Heaven is divided into seven layers.
The highest layer is where the God-King and the highest-ranking angels reside.
The lower layers are occupied by lower-ranked angels and the virtuous souls that pass through the soul-processing system.
Hell, as the counterpart of Heaven, is also divided into seven layers.
The deepest layer is where the King of Biblical Hell and other beings of similar rank reside.
The upper layers are ruled by powerful lords who govern separate territories within those levels.
Just like the Biblical pantheon, other divine pantheons have their own systems and organizational structures that dictate how their heavens and hells are managed.
Take the Norse pantheon, for example.
Their realms can be divided into three main tiers: the upper realms, the middle realms, and the lower realms.
Upper Realms
The upper realms of the Norse pantheon consist of three territories: Asgard, Vanaheim, and Valhalla.
Asgard is the realm of the Aesir gods, ruled by the god-king Odin.
Vanaheim is the realm of the Vanir gods, with Njord as the chief deity and acting ruler.
Valhalla is a place similar to the concept of Heaven in the Biblical tradition.
It is where the souls of brave warriors go after death.
Middle Realms
The middle realms of the Norse pantheon include Midgard, Alfheim, and Nidavellir.
These are the realms where mortal beings reside.
Midgard is the world of humans.
Alfheim is the realm of the light elves.
Nidavellir is the land of the dwarves.
Lower Realms
The lower realms consist of Jötunheim, Muspelheim, and Niflheim.
Jötunheim is the land of the ice giants, immortal beings who often oppose the gods.
Muspelheim is the realm of the fire giants, ruled by the fire giant Surtr.
Niflheim is a realm akin to the Biblical concept of Hell, but very different in nature.
It is not a place of fire and demonic torment.
Instead, Niflheim is a land of utter darkness and intense cold—so cold it could freeze souls.
In contrast to the Biblical Hell, where souls of the damned are eternally tortured, Niflheim is not a place of active punishment.
The souls there are not physically tortured, but rather condemned to a joyless, silent, and peace-deprived existence.
They feel no happiness, no satisfaction—only eternal hunger and grim emptiness.
Just as the godly pantheons like the Egyptian, Greek, and others have their own structured systems of how everything works, so too does the Biblical pantheon.
Within its hellish domain, Damian found himself particularly intrigued by three things: the 72 Keys of Solomon, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and the Seven Deadly Sins.
Each of these demons possessed unique and powerful abilities that set them apart from all others in Hell, abilities so potent they defined the very identity of those demons.
Damian had already acquired the unique ability of one such demon, Marquis Andras.
This power, known as Demon's Grasp, granted him the ability to manipulate matter using only his willpower and mind.
Each of these demonic beings possessed such distinct and formidable powers that Damian couldn't help but imagine how thrilling it would be to devour them all and claim their abilities for himself.
He shook his head, dismissing that thought for now. He had all of eternity ahead of him.
Lately, he had even begun to wonder if he was moving too fast, not taking enough time for himself.
Though he loved the thrill of growing stronger and the exhilaration of combat, he also began to think that perhaps a few calm, work-free days wouldn't be such a bad idea.
That's why he decided that, over the next few days, he would take time to relax and let the high humans he had created handle everything.
As Damian watched, he sensed movement in the cocoons of evolution, cracks beginning to appear in a few of them.
The cocoons surrounding a particular pair of high humans were the first to break.
Their figures emerged from the cloudy, white, energy-filled shells, brimming with vitality.
These two were already high humans before Damian gave them his racial evolutionary essence.
However, they were not pure-blooded high humans.
When Damian infused them with his essence and initiated the evolution process, that essence transformed them into true, pure-blooded high humans, engraving his own divine lineage as the human progenitor into their very being.
Because they had already been high humans before the process began, their transformation did not take long.
Now, they emerged fully evolved from the cocoons of evolution.
As soon as Noah and his wife Cara emerged from the cocoon of evolution, they dropped to one knee, lowering their heads in respect to their new king, the progenitor of humanity, Damian Ignatius.
"We greet the great Lord," they said in unison.
Damian smiled as he watched them.
Their appearance hadn't changed much, except they had become far more beautiful, and their presence had grown noticeably stronger since their evolution.
"Hmm... You two should go back to your own place. Actually... I never asked, where are you guys from?" Damian asked curiously.
"My Lord, we are originally from the Norse pantheon, from the realm of Midgard," Noah replied.
"Midgard, huh?" Damian rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"Are there any other high humans like you still alive, any survivors of the extinction?"
"No, my Lord," Cara answered respectfully.
"We've been searching for other high humans from other realms for hundreds of years, but we've never come across any. As far as we know, we are the only high humans left."
"...Wait, knowing your kind was going extinct, didn't the gods of the Norse pantheon do anything to help?" Damian asked.
"The Aesir gods hold the most authority within the Norse pantheon, and they don't really care about high humans going extinct. In fact, they don't care much about anyone outside their own kind."
"However, we did receive help from the Vanir gods. But whatever help they could offer wasn't enough to stop our race from dying out. At least they gave us sanctuary and protected us from harm," Noah said, sighing.
"It's interesting how, even within one pantheon, there can be such a divide, some gods who care and some who don't," Damian said, sighing.
At the same time, he understood.
Every godly pantheon had its own internal conflicts, its share of good and bad, just like the stories told about the gods in the mortal world.
Even now, Damian was thinking about the consequences of his recent actions.
Like when he killed a ruler of Hell and took his place.
How would the other rulers of Hell react to that?
What would the God-King of the Biblical pantheon, the Heavenly Father, think of Damian killing one of His creations, a fallen angel?
Even though Marquis Andras was a fallen angel, he was still the Heavenly Father's creation.
Shouldn't that anger Him?
And what about the Demon King?
How had he reacted to Damian's declaration that he would soon return to Hell with the intention of conquering it?
What about the other rulers of Hell, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, or the Seven Deadly Sins?
What were they thinking about Damian right now?
It wasn't that Damian feared facing such powerful beings, but it would be wise to gather as much information as possible about what to expect in the future.
That way, he could manage his power and his forces efficiently to achieve the best possible outcomes.
"Anyway, you guys should go back and get used to your evolved bodies. Take a few days off if you need to, because I have some things planned that will be put into motion in a few days. When I need you, I will let you know," Damian said, waving his hand.
"We will do as you command, my king," Noah and Cara both bowed again before disappearing from the spot.
After a few minutes, the remaining cocoons of evolution also began to break, one by one.
Three of the five humans that Maria had brought were the first to emerge from the state of evolution.

After them, the remaining two, Pietro Grimaldi and Eric Walcrown, also emerged from their cocoons, having evolved into pure blooded high humans.
About five minutes later, Maria's seven sisters emerged from their cocoons, having completely evolved into high humans.
They were even more beautiful than before.
The time it takes a being to complete the evolution process depends on their latent potential.
The longer it takes, the more potential that being is believed to possess.
Damian's eyes widened as he observed the final cocoon of evolution in the throne hall.
At last, cracks appeared on its surface, and before long, it shattered into thousands of pieces.
A single figure emerged from the cloud of misty energy, her blonde hair flowing ethereally, her blue eyes glowing with a silvery light, and holy energy radiating from her.
"Maria... As expected, she's the one here with the strongest potential," the human progenitor grinned.
