The Tales of Draconic Warlock-Chapter 289 : First Quest (6)
Huh, they are finally making a move. That was such a relief. If they hadn't, then those two would have made their first move, which may have caused a lot of trouble for us.
Luckily those bastards did and there is no reason to hold back.
"Angela, Celine, Now", I shouted out loudly.
Once I gave the signal, both of them acted and quickly subdued the robber adventurers.

There was a small clash and that was it. Unlike those adventurers, among whom the highest was only Tier-3, the twins had reached Tier-6 long ago and should nearing Tier-7, maybe they are at the peak of Tier-6.
It's just reaching Tier-7 is not as simple as reaching Tier-6 or any other lower rank.
Haha, look at their faces, they were surprised that we reacted so soon. They had no idea that we were ready for them since we left the guild. As I said before, they thought we were sheep. We are the Wolves.
"How? When?" one of the robbers whispered, trying to find out what went wrong.
The others pleaded for their lives when they were defeated. No one wants to die. Though they came out to kill others to make their lives easy and should have prepared themselves to die in case the opponent was strong, they were not ready to die.
Everyone thought we were an easy target. An easy and rich target. If they thought we were strong, they wouldn't have targeted us. Though it was a nuisance, I wanted to clean them up.
How many they should have killed?
How many families had to suffer in the past due to their greed?
I mean, a lot of young kids should have died, leaving grieving parents who are too old to support themselves. This is most likely why many kids become adventurers as their parents are too weak to support the family.
How many fathers should have gone leaving widows with children, that they have to raise by themselves?
As I said before, I am not a Saint, who goes out looking for criminals on purpose to get justice for what they did but these robbers and murderers have targeted us. So, they have to bear the punishment, death.
There is no way would I let go of criminals like these, no matter what.
Though I am not a saint, if a crime was happening before me and if I had the strength to stop that, as long as that doesn't bite me in the ass later, I would do so.
So ignored the pleas of those but when I heard a different thing, two questions from one of them, I was intrigued to see who it was.
The man was a burly man, one of the bosses that had a few lackeys behind him.
Instead of begging for life, he wanted to know why he failed. Unlike those others, I can say that he was a bit more intelligent. They came for our lives. So in what universe would we let them go?
We wouldn't and he knows that very well.
I appeared before him with a smile, "Guild", I uttered and he understood what I meant.

They never had a chance at all. Everything that happened was an act, a lure to bait them to attack.
As someone who knows how the guild works, they would make sure that there would be no evidence of the act but these are new to the guild and don't know everything.
Though they are new to the guild. they are not newbies. If those three were as they thought, then the moment those three sensed that they were being followed, they would have acted.
Though it can be considered as self-defence, this is not an ideal world. There is no way to get the perfect proof.
Even the professionals who can see the death of a person, can't see more than a few minutes and that too if there was anything related to that person. Hiring those people to find out the truth was quite difficult and costly. So, most of the time, the guild uses an artifact, which can show the battle from the start.
So, if these three kids were newbies, then how can one show they were innocent if they attacked first?
Now, even if the guild finds out about their deaths and if they use the artifact to know about what happened, they can easily know that the kids were not in the wrong.
The ones that are dead are the ones who initiated the conflict and now paid the price. There would be nothing wrong.
He was fooled from the beginning. It was not that these kids were weak, they were making sure that they won't be implicated after the battle.
So, when the boss heard the word guild, he understood that they were doomed the second they laid their eyes on the three. There was nothing that he could do now to change anything. So, he waited for his death.

So, that was done. We can now return to the city and complete our quests.
After killing them, we took space rings from the bosses and space bags from a few lackeys. Compared to Glessaria, being a bandit in the empire should net more as even some lackeys were wearing space bags.
Though they are cheaper than space rings, they are still costly.
After cleaning them of the items, we burned their bodies so as to not attract unwanted problems. Once that was done we promptly returned to the city.
The return to the city took a lot less than going out, as we were acting as young masters who were going gout for the first time.
We had to sell that point or they would have ignored us or would have gone to find some other prey. Since they targeted us, I already decided that they wouldn't return alive.
Now that was done, we could return to the city at our usual speed, rather than the speed of newbie adventurers.
