The Top Omega Hunter Wants a Quiet Life [BL]-Chapter 135: Ch : To Hell’s Fire- Part 3
’The Luminous Guild? No wonder this place is so clean and well taken care of. It would have been impossible had it been the association.’
I reminded myself as I stepped near the dungeon. The heat from inside the dungeon made my knees go weak, but I kept my composure.
Rhiner, on the other hand, collapsed as he grabbed his forehead.
"W-What the heck is going on in there? Ace, this dungeon... something feels wrong. I think we should be careful when we enter here."
He told me, and I nodded at his words. Even I could feel that there was something in there that was overwhelming.
"You are right. Make sure you do not stray too far away from me once we enter. We cannot be sure what is waiting for us in there."
After all, this dungeon had been open for the past ten years. It must have accumulated a lot of energy over the years, and energy like that easily became a threat if it was not taken care of.
Rhiner looked shaken, almost as if he did not want to be here, and I understood the sentiment. After all, I shared it as well.
But backing down was not an option at the moment.
I had not known this until now, but this dungeon was on the verge of exploding soon. The energy here was filled with mana and different forms of energy.
One small push would be enough to unleash hell on earth. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
"Tsk, we should have taken care of this dungeon long before now. I cannot believe how bad the situation has gotten."
Rhiner spoke as he covered his nose so that no poisonous miasma went inside him. He looked taken aback by what was happening.
"Well, I doubt any normal person would be able to clear this dungeon. Heck, I doubt even a well-trained hunter would be able to take care of it. Rhiner, maybe you should head back and allow me to take care of this alone."
I told him without turning toward him. My words were simple, but they conveyed my meaning well — it was too dangerous for him to be here.
But Rhiner did not seem to think the same. He gave me a look that told me that I was foolish.
"Don’t be ridiculous. How are you going to be able to take care of this mess all on your own? That’s akin to a suicide mission. I cannot allow you to do that."
Rhiner told me as he rubbed his forehead to get rid of the building pain in his head.
He was not suited to enter this dungeon when he was collapsing under its pressure even before he took a step in here.
As such, he was a liability.
"You are getting affected by this dungeon much more than I am. If you enter, there is a chance you might get overwhelmed by it and end up becoming its victim as well. I do not want that to happen."
I told Rhiner, and he looked taken aback by my answer.
His eyes widened just a little bit as he tried to speak. But his words failed him as he kept trying to speak up.
"See, you are so affected that you cannot even speak properly. It would be for the best if you stay out here. Don’t worry, we will stay in touch through the system."
I told the alpha, and Rhiner was forced to give in to my demands.
It was not like he had any other choice when his body refused to move. And I also felt bad about him not being able to come inside when he wanted to.
"Do you have a protective artifact?"
I asked, and Rhiner nodded before he took one out. He extended it toward me, but I just pushed it back before activating it.
"Keep it with you and call me as soon as you sense danger. There is no telling what could be out there."
I told Rhiner, and he nodded.
Despite his reluctance to stay back, he seemed to have understood that he did not have another choice in this matter. He was being forced to stay back one way or another.
I entered the dungeon, and the gate swallowed me. The next time I opened my eyes, I expected to find myself in a place filled with monsters.
Instead, what looked back at me were tall buildings and crowded streets.
People were running around, always trying to get somewhere, and it looked like the human world I was used to... except, everyone had some kind of animal ears on top of their head.
As I took it all in, people kept moving around me. Some even bumped into me and then gave me a sour look as they saw that I was blocking their way.
"Tsk, can you start moving around or something? You are blocking the way for others as well."
Someone told me as they kept moving away from me. But I did not move.
This world felt familiar and yet not at the same time. I felt like I could get lost in here if I was not careful.
I tried to take a few steps, but the crowd swiftly took me away with them. I had no idea what was going on. But I knew that I needed to follow the flow for now and see where I ended up at.
"Hey, are you not late to your work? Where do you even work? Don’t tell me—! Are you new and have no work? You will starve at this rate. So, how about you come with me and I give you a job?"
Someone asked me as I finally got some time to take a breather.
The speaker was a delicate-looking man a little taller than me and dressed in a bunny costume... the sexy kind at that.
I avoided looking at his exposed body, but the man just laughed at my conservative action.
"Oh—! You sure are a cute one. You will be popular with the guests as well. For now, come with me, and I’ll take you to the place where all lost souls gather here."
