Avalon Azira? I knew him well, or rather, the character I'd created.

He was the former healer of the Golden Horizon, the previous number one guild in the world, led by the King Of The Dungeon's Garrick Florentina or the Great Hero nonetheless...

Avalon was a mage with a unique talent for light magic, restricted to healing, but a force to be reckoned with in combat nonetheless.

"Avalon Azira?"

I pretended to be surprised.

"God's Chosen Healer? I've always been fascinated by his contributions to the Golden Horizon, alongside Garrick and Dawn Frisk."

Camila's grin widened. "Really? I wouldn't have expected you to know this kinda stuff."

Well... I did write it.

"Naturally I'd know," I replied smoothly. "Let's go then."

We rose from our seats being the last to leave Carette.

Outside, I pulled out my watch and tapped on the GPS, plotting our course.

Musée de Cluny was closer to the Louvre than the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, so it made sense to start with the latter and work our way back.

...

...

...

Camila led the way, her pace brisk as we navigated the streets.

True to her word, she made a beeline for the Musée de l'Armée, her eyes scanning the impressive collection of military artifacts with a keen interest.

I trailed behind, pretending I was interested in the exhibits.

On the other hand, I was calculating the remaining time before the incident at the Louvre.

We spent a good hour or two exploring the museum's vast halls, Camila's commentary a constant stream of historical facts and observations.

I nodded along, offering the occasional remark, while discreetly jotting down notes on my watch, fulfilling the club's requirement for a written report.

My attention, however, was elsewhere.

I knew our next destination was the Musée de Cluny, where Avalon Azira's exhibition awaited.

As we exited the museum, Camila's stomach grumbled audibly.

"Ugh, I'm starving," she complained, rubbing her belly.

"Let's grab some food before moving on."

I nodded in agreement.

"Okay."

We strolled down a few streets, coming across a charming bistro tucked away on a side street.

Its outdoor seating offered a view of the Seine River, the water glistening in the afternoon sun.

Camila scanned the menu, while I discreetly checked my watch, reviewing the information I'd gathered on Avalon Azira earlier.

Once we'd ordered, I decided to push things along.

"I'm pretty excited for Azira's exhibition," I said, taking a sip of coffee.

"Heard his collection is impressive."

Camila nodded, a thoughtful look on her face.

"I'm curious to see what he's put together. Back when he was in Golden Horizon, they found tons of rare artifacts."

"Yeah," I agreed, a subtle urgency entering my voice.

"We should head there soon to catch it all."

Camila glanced at her watch, then back at me.

"You're right. Let's not waste any more time."

We finished our meal and set off towards the Musée de Cluny.

As we approached the imposing medieval building, a wave of anticipation washed over me.

Another tick should be on the list and the next step in my plan is to ensure Jan defeats that demi-human.

But it was also a chance to witness firsthand the ex-members of Golden Horizon.

Walking down the massive pathway the Musée de Cluny's gothic architecture towered over us.

Camila paused to admire the building's front, commenting on its historical significance and aesthetic appeal.

I, on the other hand, was more interested in the contents within – specifically, Avalon Azira's collection.

...

...

...

[Paris, Musée de Cluny's]

The Musée de Cluny's heavy wooden doors creaked open, revealing a dimly lit foyer filled with ancient sculptures.

A hushed atmosphere hung in the air, a sense of reverence for the historical artifacts within.

Camila confidently approached the reception desk.

And within mere moments, her charm easily secured us an entry into Avalon Azira's private exhibition.

"Let's go."

...

...

...

Stepping into the exhibition hall, I was awestruck.

It was surreal, like walking onto the set of my own novel.

The room glowed with a soft, ethereal light, emanating from the numerous magical artifacts on display.

Each piece seemed to buzz with unnatural mana, their histories and secrets whispering to those who dared to listen.

Camila, her eyes wide with wonder, gravitated towards a shimmering necklace encased in glass.

"Look at this," she breathed, her voice barely above a whisper.

"It's breathtaking."

I followed her gaze, instantly recognizing the artifact.

It was the Necklace of Eternal Twilight, an artifact I had written about extensively in my novel.

but it wasn't meant to be a pivotal item. Jan, a swordsman, had no use for it. For Camila, though...

No curses, no hidden dangers – just the power to manipulate shadows, to bend darkness to her will. It would be a major power-up for her.

"It is,"

I murmured, a shiver running down my spine as I saw another piece of my writing come to life.

"Quite powerful, they say." ƒгeewёbnovel.com

Camila turned to me, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Do you know anything about it?"

I hesitated, carefully choosing my words.

I couldn't reveal too much without raising suspicion, but I could still offer some enticing details.

"It's an ancient artifact," I began, "with a long and mysterious history. Legend has it that it was created by the first mages to harness the power of shadows."

Camila leaned closer, her eyes wide with fascination.

"Do you think it really has those powers?"

She whispered, her voice tinged with a childlike wonder I hadn't seen before.

"Maybe," I shrugged, "Legends often have a grain of truth to them, don't they?"

Then suddenly... a hush fell over the room as a spotlight illuminated a raised platform at the far end of the hall.

Two figures emerged from the shadows.

One, a tall, slender man with short, silver hair and piercing blue eyes, draped in a flowing white robe.

The other, a broad-shouldered figure with long grey hair reaching his shoulders, dressed in simple, yet elegant attire.

"Welcome, honoured guests,"

The first figure's voice boomed, echoing through the hall.

"I am Avalon Azira, and it is my pleasure to share my humble collection with you today. And to make this exhibition even more special, I have a guest joining me today: my dear friend and former comrade-in-arms, Dawn Frisk."

I couldn't believe my eyes.

Two legends, standing side by side.

God's chosen healer, Avalon.

And the Conqueror Of the Void, Dawn Frisk.

This was beyond surreal. This was... incredible...
