The True Heiress is the Reserved Fiancé's Exclusive Memory-Chapter 623 - 637: Wedding Night (4)
"Mm."
"I haven’t eaten either," Koa Jackson said casually, "Want to grab some food first?"
"Uh!"
Mia Ginger puffed her cheeks and looked at him earnestly, "People get off work after five; to avoid any unnecessary delays, let’s get the marriage certificate first. Once we have it, we can do anything."
Her eagerness made Koa Jackson chuckle, "Who was the stubborn one yesterday?"
"Hmm..." Mia Ginger drawled out playfully, "It’s different, you weren’t as handsome yesterday as you are now, and now..."
Mia Ginger suddenly smiled and fell silent.
Koa Jackson was slightly stunned, "What?"
"..." Koa Jackson’s fingers tightened on the steering wheel, his lips pressed together, eyes slightly curved, "Is... this a compliment?"
"Of course." Mia Ginger had a playful smile on her face.
Koa Jackson turned his head to glance at her, feeling very pleased, the smile in his eyes was intoxicating, even his voice was, as he asked, "Did you lie to Chairman Cooper?"
"How did you know?"
"When are you going back?"
"Tomorrow afternoon." Mia Ginger glanced at him with pursed lips, "Or the afternoon after that."
Two days and nights?
Koa Jackson pondered lightly, made no comment.
But the smile in his eyes somewhat betrayed his mood.
In the enclosed space, an ambiguous atmosphere was flowing, and after a while, Koa Jackson raised his hand, slightly loosened the tie around his neck, and asked nonchalantly, "Do you want to be outside or at home?"
"What?" Mia Ginger was a bit taken by surprise.
"The wedding night." Koa Jackson lightly parted his thin lips, coolly uttered four words.
Mia Ginger blushed and looked at him, "Let’s stay at home, it’s cold outside at night..."
Koa Jackson: "..."
Is that what he meant?
What is this girl always thinking about?
Koa Jackson said helplessly, "By ’outside,’ I mean the hotel." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
"Is that so?" Mia Ginger laughed dryly, "Then let’s stay home, but..."
She thought again, "If we’re at Cloudy Capital, won’t we be found out? What if we run into my mom when we get home?"
Koa Jackson was silent for a moment, "I understand."
"Huh?"
"Got what you meant," Koa Jackson smiled with an upturned lip.
"Are we going to a hotel?" Mia Ginger asked.
Koa Jackson smiled softly, "Let’s keep it a secret for now."
Mia Ginger: "..."
The two chatted aimlessly, and before they knew it, they arrived outside the Civil Affairs Bureau.
Koa Jackson parked the car, walked around to the front, opened the passenger door, and helped Mia Ginger out.
Mia Ginger raised her hand to hold onto his arm, taking a deep breath.
"Still scared?" Koa Jackson asked.
"What?"
"Your pre-wedding jitters," Koa Jackson raised his hand and pinched her cheeks lightly, "Still there?"
"Gone." Mia Ginger bit her lip, suppressing her smile, muttered, "I’m a little excited now, what should I do?"
Koa Jackson let out a pleased chuckle, wrapped an arm around her shoulder, "Let’s go."
"Aren’t you nervous?" Mia Ginger asked him.
"Not really." Koa Jackson spoke in a calm voice, the fingers at his side slightly curling in.
The two of them entered the hall.
Mia Ginger had been here once before, so she was familiar with the process.
The staff photocopied their IDs, and she and Koa Jackson went to have their photos taken.
