The True Heiress is the Reserved Fiancé's Exclusive Memory-Chapter 627 - 641: Wedding Night (8)
"Mm." The family member of the injured nodded in response.
Mia Ginger saw a slightly relaxed expression, after the comfort, on her sad face.
The female reporter accompanied the family member to the side.
Mia looked back, lowered her head, and gazed at her intertwined fingers, lost in thought.
——
Time ticked away second by second.
Soon, it was past 9 PM.
Mia had been waiting for three hours and felt a bit tired, dozing off against the back of her chair.
She was suddenly woken by the abrupt ringtone of someone’s phone, shivered awake, and realized there were only a few people left in the hall.
Footsteps came from behind.
She instinctively looked up and saw a few people walking over.
Koa Jackson was at the front, taking large strides. At the moment he saw her, he seemed relieved.
The tense expression on his face eased a little.
"Finished?" Holding her bag, Mia stepped forward and looked up to ask.
"Mm." Koa nodded and reached out to tousle her hair, speaking softly, "Did you fall asleep waiting?"
Mia gave a shy smile.
Looking up again, she saw Felix Lopez beside them.
She bit her lip and said to Koa, "Let’s go, I’m so hungry."
"Mm." Koa put his arm around her and said to the few people beside him, "We’ll go first."
"Goodbye, Dr. Jackson."
"Goodbye."
"Goodbye, Master."
After everyone finished speaking, Felix hesitated and added, "Goodbye, little mistress."
Uh.
Mia stared at him, taken aback.
A few accompanying doctors and nurses suddenly gasped, "Dr. Jackson, are you both married?"
"Already got the certificate." Koa smiled lightly for once.
"Then that’s married, you must treat us!"
"Yeah, yeah, treat us."
"Congratulations on your new marriage."
Everyone started talking at once.
Koa glanced down at Mia and smiled at everyone, "I’ll treat you another day, tonight I’ll be with her."
"Haha."
"Yep, newlyweds."
"The night is precious, head back early." 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
As everyone teased, Mia’s face grew redder. She reached out to tug on Koa’s sleeve.
Koa pressed his lips in a smile, embraced her, and left.
Behind them——
Felix looked at the others and curiously asked, "How old is my little mistress?"
"Haha, probably no more than twenty-one or twenty-two, a college student."
"Married without graduating?" Felix was a bit surprised.
Someone laughed, "The girl hasn’t graduated yet, but Dr. Jackson is already twenty-eight, how could he not be anxious?"
Everyone burst into laughter again.
——
Mia and Koa left the hospital.
A gust of wind blew by, she felt a bit cold and instinctively hugged her arms.
Koa took off his jacket and draped it over her, then reached out and hailed a taxi.
"Your car is at the hospital." Mia reminded him belatedly as she followed him into the cab.
"Not driving it." Koa said with a smile and told the driver in front, "Pill River Port."
The driver glanced through the rearview mirror and reminded, "It’s quite far."
"Shall we go?" Koa asked.
"Sure." The driver replied with a hearty laugh, "You’re the passenger, you decide. Wherever you say, we’ll go there, I have no opinion."
"Mm." Koa responded.
Holding Mia closer, he softly asked, "Still cold?"
