The True Heiress is the Reserved Fiancé's Exclusive Memory-Chapter 664 - 682: Before the Dust Settles (9)
Seeing the situation was not right, Tong Tong turned around and went to find the manager on duty.
Mia Ginger couldn’t wait any longer and gritted her teeth, "Stop, I am Aiden Jiang’s daughter."
Aiden Jiang had held office in Cloud Capital for eight years, his reputation was widely known, and he was practically a household name. The two men fighting immediately stopped their actions and turned to look at her, sizing her up.
Victor Williams, still angry, looked at her and sneered. Mia Ginger also remained calm, looked up at him, and said slowly, "What if I’m Koa Jackson’s wife?"
"..." Victor Williams was shocked.
Even though Koa Jackson was usually low-key, there was no way he hadn’t heard of him.
He gave Mia Ginger a once-over, "Which Koa Jackson?"
"The one you know," Mia Ginger answered.
"Third Young Master Jackson?" Victor Williams suddenly burst into laughter as if he’d heard some wild tale. "I haven’t heard that he got married, haha, would I not know if a young master of the Jackson Family got married?"
He turned to glance at the two men beside him. "Tsk, this girl says she’s Cody Jackson’s granddaughter-in-law, do you believe it?"
The other two men shook their heads in unison, then laughed.
Mia Ginger didn’t laugh; she suddenly picked up her bag and swung it at Victor Williams’ head.
With two cans of Coke in her bag, when she swung it, Victor Williams dodged but still went "bang" and fell to the ground.
Blood started flowing from his forehead.
The entire hallway fell silent.
The few men were dumbfounded, staring at Mia Ginger.
Mia Ginger exhaled slowly, "Do you believe it now?"
The men looked at each other and said nothing for the moment.
Mia Ginger pressed her lips together, took a look at Camden River and Roy Anders, who both had marks on their faces, and another look at Windsor Myres, who seemed lost. She turned to the few worried people beside her and said, "Help them, you guys should head back first."
"What about you?" Mina Lee quickly supported Windsor Myres and asked.
"I’m fine, you guys go back first," Mia Ginger reassured them.
She had no good impression of Victor Williams, and looking at the situation, she could guess most of it.
She might as well knock him out; whether she called Dallas Taylor or Koa Jackson, the matter would be settled. She was just considering who would be more appropriate to contact.
If she called Dallas Taylor, it would be awkward.
If she called Koa Jackson, he’d find out she went out at night.
He might get angry.
Or—
Should she just call Aiden Jiang to send someone over to handle it?
While she was thinking, a male voice suddenly came from beside, "Sister Mia, what are you doing here?"
"Little Patten?" Mia Ginger looked at the newcomer in surprise.
"Brother Lee, do you know each other?" The duty manager brought by Tong Tong asked eagerly.
Brother Lee was Little Patten, though that’s not his real name. His name was River Lee, and Louis Cox had called him Little Patten for so many years that Mia Ginger almost forgot his real name.
Seeing him now in a suit, she couldn’t quite accept it.
Little Patten was there with others, helping Louis Cox look after the business. Hearing of an incident, he naturally came with the manager on duty to check it out, not expecting to run into Mia Ginger. Being called Little Patten in public didn’t bother him in the least. Ignoring the duty manager’s question, he turned to Mia Ginger, "Fourth Brother sent me over to check things out. What’s going on with you..."
"Just went out with classmates, ran into some trouble," Mia Ginger said, frustrated.
Little Patten looked down at Victor Williams lying on the ground and was surprised, "Isn’t that the young master from the Williams Family? Who knocked him out?"
"I did," Mia Ginger said, pressing her lips together.
She was quite helpless too. Windsor Myres and Camden River were in trouble for sure; at the very least, she needed to get them out of this mess first.
With the Myres Family recently changed in leadership, Windsor naturally faced some challenges in the circle, and Camden, not being from Cloud Capital, wouldn’t stand a chance against Victor Williams.
She had to divert Victor Williams’ attention.
If not Dallas Taylor, then she’d have to bring up Koa Jackson to suppress him. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Little Patten saw her expression and knew she must have been forced into it, so he nodded, "Since he’s involved, I can’t handle it. I’ll call Fourth Brother over."
"No need," Mia Ginger said hurriedly.
Louis Cox was already dealing with his own troubles; how could she bother him more?
Little Patten’s phone was snatched by her; he looked surprised for a moment, then laughed, "If you don’t want to, then don’t, but you have to give me my phone back."
As he said this, he gestured to a man nearby with his eyes.
The man understood and went off to make a call from afar.
Everyone surrounding them breathed a sigh of relief; Roy Anders glanced at Mia Ginger and said, "Why don’t I stay and wait for you?"
"No need," Mia Ginger smiled. "Take them back; I’ll be fine."
"Are they all your classmates?" Little Patten asked with a smile.
Mia Ginger: "Yes."
Little Patten smiled at Roy Anders, "Rest assured, Sister Mia’s got me here."
He was not yet twenty but had a somewhat naive appearance and was sturdy, making him seem older and genuinely reliable.
Seeing the late hour, Roy Anders took a look at everyone around and said to Mia Ginger, "Then we’ll leave now."
"Go back at ease," Mia Ginger nodded, still worried about Windsor Myres. She caught up to her and whispered in her ear, "Talk to me about anything when I get back; don’t quarrel with Camden River, and don’t pressure him, alright?"
"Sorry for troubling you," Windsor Myres whispered.
"Don’t take it to heart," Mia Ginger reassured, watching them leave.
Feeling quite depressed.
Her mind was a bit unsettled, feeling like she’d left home without checking the calendar, how singing brought on such trouble this late at night.
Frowning as she thought, she decided to call Koa Jackson.
After all, they were married.
If she had to trouble someone, better to trouble him.
