Chapter 282: Show me

Remo’s gaze met hers, and he drew a sharp breath, as if the words she had just spoken shook him to his core each time. "I’ve loved you all along, my dear. I just didn’t realize it. Now that I do, I swear I’ll never stop," he declared with such intensity that before she could respond, he was pulling her close, his lips finding hers in a fervent kiss that released all the emotions he had harbored.

She allowed it, eager to delay any complications for later. Right now, his love enveloped her in the most profound way she had ever known.

Remo’s hands buried themselves in her hair as they staggered back together. The moment’s fervor nearly swept his feet from under him. Her arms looped around his neck, drawing him nearer. Their kiss was wild and unchecked, their tongues tangling in a dance of raw desire. They were lost in the heat of the moment, oblivious to the world.

"I’ll never let you leave again. That’s a promise," he murmured against her lips, barely parting from her to whisper his confessions. "I’m sorry for everything. I messed up big time. I never meant to hurt you. I’ve missed you—love you so much. I love you—can’t stop saying it."

Each time he repeated these words, they sounded as if spoken for the first time, echoing a new nuance or a slight change in tone. It was peculiar yet fitting to hear him apologize; his voice carried a weight that stirred deep feelings within her. As he spoke, it felt like the world shifted under them, the raw emotions he expressed set her heart on fire.

His sudden withdrawal left his chest heaving, his eyes searching her face for a response. "Tell me again. Let me hear you say it again, please."

Her lips parted, breathless, as his urgency revealed how deeply he craved her affirmation. "I love you," she said, locking eyes with him, feeling the novelty and weight of the words as they hung between them.

"Do you mean it? Do you promise?" he asked, his vulnerability laid bare.

"I promise I love you. I wouldn’t lie about something like that," she assured him, each word soaked in sincerity.

A shadow of guilt flickered across Remo’s expression, puzzling her for a moment. His hands gently framed her neck, his gaze flitting between her eyes. "These past days have been a nightmare turned dream since hearing you say that. I was terrified of losing you forever."

"You didn’t lose me," she reassured him, tightening her hold around him as his hands found her hips. "Even when I left—that’s something I can’t easily forget."

He laughed softly, tension easing from his shoulders as he planted a soft kiss on her lips, then stepped back to regard her with affection. "Thank you for bearing with me. I didn’t know how to face losing you."

She playfully furrowed her brows, teasing him. "Lucky for you, I love you."

"Believe me, Abby... I’m fully aware," he replied, his gaze tender and filled with relief. Exhaustion was etched across his features, a testament to the ordeal they had just endured, yet his love shone through, overwhelming and clear. He had shown his love in countless unspoken ways before, but fear had blinded him to it.

Now, his hands traveled lower, sneaking under her shirt, his touch gentle on her skin. He kissed her neck softly, whispering, "I’ve missed you so much. I wish I could show you just how much."

His voice was thick with emotion, as if they had been apart for ages rather than hours. "Then show me," she whispered back, her eyes closing as his lips traced her collarbone, sending shivers through her.

Remo hesitated, his voice filled with concern. "I can’t—we are at Fred’s."

She captured his face in her hands, making him look at her. Despite the gravity of recent events, she felt stronger than he thought. She leaned in, whispering into his ear, her grip tightening suggestively. He gasped, his body responding instinctively. "Please, show me how much you’ve missed me," she urged him, her daring words breaking the last of his resolve.

In an instant, the restraint in his eyes shattered. Clothes were discarded hastily as he spun her around, his arm securing her against him as they made their way to the nearest room.

His hands gripped Abby’s waist firmly, guiding her towards the bedroom. Every step felt like a prelude to something monumental, the air thick with anticipation and longing.

As they entered the room, he spun her around again, pushing her gently against the wall. His lips crashed into hers with a fervor that left her breathless. Their kisses were intense, desperate, like they were trying to make up for all the time they’d lost. His hands roamed her body, exploring every curve, every inch of skin. He cupped her breasts through her shirt, his thumbs brushing over her nipples, eliciting a moan from deep within her.

His mouth trailed down her neck, his kisses turning into nips and bites that sent electric shocks through her body. Abby arched against him, her fingers tangling in his hair, pulling him closer. She wanted to feel him, all of him, as close as possible.

Remo’s hands traveled lower, finding the hem of her shirt and tugging it upwards. She lifted her arms, allowing him to pull it off completely. His eyes darkened further as he took in the sight of her, his hands resuming their exploration. He bent down, his lips capturing a hardened nipple, his tongue swirling around it before giving it a gentle bite. Abby gasped, her back arching in response, her hands clutching at his shoulders for support.

He switched his attention to the other breast, giving it the same fervent attention, before trailing kisses down her stomach. He paused at the waistband of her pants, his eyes meeting hers as he unbuttoned them and slid them down her legs, leaving her completely exposed to him.
