The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1525: The Thing Amadeus Went to Get Was the Black Box
Nathalie Quinlan couldn’t help but feel a bit agitated. She couldn’t quite pinpoint the reason, just that her heart was somewhat restless. She pursed her lips, glanced at him, and silently adjusted the hairdryer’s wind speed to higher.
Amadeus Yancey sensed the gust of hot air over his hair and knew he had irritated someone. He raised his hand to touch his high nose bridge, the smile on his lips seemingly unwilling to fade, and said in a low voice, "I found something this time."
"?" Nathalie gave his hair a blow, realizing she hadn’t spoken, then casually added, "What thing?"
"The airplane’s black box."
Amadeus’s brows and eyes were unfazed, a sharp gleam passed through his eyes, he spoke to her in a low voice, "You’ve been investigating your mother’s affairs for quite some time."
Nathalie paused her action of blowing his hair: "How do you know?"
Amadeus turned to look at her, his dark eyes deep as the dense night: "I knew even when you were in McKinney you were continuously investigating your mother’s affairs, just without any progress. I’ve been privately keeping an eye on it as well. Your mother’s situation is very complicated... I only found out she encountered an air crash back then, and many people died in that crash. Your mother luckily survived, and a year later, had you. After that... all news about her was deliberately erased."
"That air crash wasn’t an accident, someone was likely targeting your mother. At that time, the aircraft crashed in Sablehaven, and because it fell into the river, the wreckage was never retrieved. Recently, a local fisherman caught a black box while fishing, supposedly left by the crashed airplane. That’s why I came here with Brian Bonette."
Nathalie had been investigating for so long.
Of course, she knew that Lynette Kingsley encountered a severe air crash back then. Lynette fortunately survived the air crash, but many people died in it.
It’s said that all the airline crew died with no survivors.
News covered the crash’s cause vaguely, only stating the accident was due to the airplane deviating from its original route...
As for why the airplane deviated from its set route, the news didn’t provide reasons. This secret was buried with the captain and copilot in the crash.
After Lynette narrowly escaped death, she never left a word about the crash. Everyone behaved as if it never happened.
She found it strange when she uncovered this back then.
But it had been a long time, she couldn’t find anyone related to the past, nor did she have other clues.
Nathalie didn’t expect Amadeus to investigate the crash and even help her get the black box: "You... went to Sablehaven just to get that black box?"
Amadeus rubbed his temples, looking at Nathalie he said, "Yes."
"I should’ve told you earlier but you left in a hurry, Mr. Yapiter was ill, and you temporarily went to the Pharmaceutical Association. I wasn’t sure whether the black box the fisherman retrieved was an artifact left by your mother’s ill-fated airplane. I didn’t want you to be disappointed, so I didn’t tell you at first."
Nathalie swiftly dried his hair, unplugged the hairdryer, placed it aside, looked at him complexly before finally saying, "Actually, this thing doesn’t concern you, you don’t need to put yourself in danger."
The more she investigated, the more she discovered how intricate the affairs of the past were, surrounded by considerable hidden forces; at least she detected the handiwork of the Illegal Zone.
As for how deep the waters are inside, she’s still unclear.
Too dangerous!
Amadeus doesn’t need to involve himself for her sake.
