The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1535: Damn, Who Betrayed Him
Inside the hospital ward.
Audrick Zachmann was hooked up to an IV, unable to move his body, lying on the hospital bed feeling quite bored, contemplating whether to call a nurse to come in and turn on the TV for him, so he could watch a variety show to pass the time.
Just then, the door of the ward was pushed open.
"You’re here at the right time." Audrick lifted the arm that wasn’t attached to the IV, his tone cheerful, looking at the person who entered, saying: "Come and help me turn on..."
At first glance, he only saw a corner of clothing.
He was still wondering why the nurse on duty recently wasn’t wearing a uniform.
The next second, Audrick’s face suddenly changed drastically, looking at the person who entered with a look of shock, tongue-tied: "Na, Nathalie."
Dammit, who sold him out!
Audrick instinctively wanted to sit up from the hospital bed, but unfortunately, the effects of the anesthesia hadn’t worn off, his whole body was weak and powerless, lying down on the bed was okay, but exerting force made him feel dizzy.
Nathalie Quinlan walked to his bedside, as if she knew what he wanted to do, casually picked up the remote control on the cabinet next to Audrick’s bed, and turned on the TV for him: "What do you want to watch?"
"..."
Audrick’s brain went blank at the moment, he looked at Nathalie, opened his mouth, but couldn’t utter a word for a long time: "Anything’s fine."
"Alright."
Nathalie seemed to understand him well, casually responded, pressed the remote control in her hand to tune to a variety show, then placed the remote where he could reach it, and pulled a chair for herself, sitting beside his bed.
The girl didn’t start any topic to chat.
Audrick dared not move, continually glanced at the girl beside him, his expression appeared somewhat nervous: "Na, Nathalie, why are you here?"
Hadn’t he informed his agent to find a way to suppress the news?
She wasn’t supposed to know.
His words just fell, the next second he saw Stanley Zachmann and Amadeus Yancey enter.
Where Nathalie was, it wasn’t surprising Amadeus followed.
Audrick mainly looked at Stanley.
Once he saw Stanley walk in, he understood everything, feeling a bit depressed, he was on the brink of tears: "Uncle, why did you tell Nathalie? I said not to tell her to avoid her worrying."
Stanley, feeling a little awkward under his gaze, reached to touch the bridge of his nose, saying: "...You didn’t tell me not to tell Nathalie."
So he told.
Audrick was rendered speechless by his clever logic, unable to find words to counter.
Nathalie paid them no attention.
From the moment she entered Audrick’s ward, she had been looking at his examination report, after pulling a chair to sit down.
She read quickly.
Scanning through ten lines at a glance.
She roughly had an understanding of his condition.
She put the medical report back, half-closed her eyes showing no emotion, her tone quite irritable: "Who did it?"
"Uh..."
Audrick was bewildered by the question, looking at Nathalie first, then instinctively glanced toward Amadeus.
Seeing Amadeus shrug his shoulder, signaling him to answer honestly.
He quietly turned his head back, weakly confessed: "I don’t know."
Nathalie raised an eyebrow, looked at him again, and rephrased: "Is there anyone in the circle who wants to mess with you?"
Audrick felt embarrassed this time, didn’t dare meet Nathalie’s eyes, shook his head, shamelessly said: "I think I’m quite loved by everyone, no one in the circle hates me like that."
"They might buy some bad hot search about me, hire a few marketing accounts to stir things up, but it’s not to the extent of committing such a crime."
