The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1621: Nathalie Still Isn’t Good Enough
Felice Owen curled her lips dismissively and retracted her gaze, saying coldly, "There are plenty of beautiful people in the entertainment circle. How many of them actually make it? Most are just pretty faces."
"You’re right." The assistant, who had been with her for almost a year and knew her temperament well, quickly retracted their gaze as well and said contemptuously, "She’s just average-looking. There are plenty of people like her outside. She’s not even half as pretty as you."
Felice Owen was quite pleased by his words, ’average-looking, plenty like her on the streets,’ and arrogantly retracted her gaze, no longer looking at Nathalie Quinlan.
The assistant checked the time on his watch, looking anxious as he said to her, "Felice, let’s go inside, or we’ll miss the makeup session."
Felice Owen nodded and walked towards the TV station with her assistant.
She had debuted through a popular recent talent show and was considered one of the more popular female idols lately.
Felice Owen was here to participate in a variety show.
The resources for this variety show were average, but for a rookie idol who had only recently debuted and had a handful of fans and a bit of fame, this opportunity was considered quite good.
Therefore, Felice Owen herself placed a lot of importance on this variety show appearance.
She and her assistant were being led by the staff to the artist’s exclusive dressing room to do her makeup when a middle-aged man in his forties hurriedly approached them... 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Felice Owen’s assistant immediately nudged her with his hand, lowering his voice, barely able to suppress his excitement: "Felice, it’s Mr. Meer!"
Joseph Meer was the chief director and producer of the variety show they were about to record, essentially the person in charge.
Felice Owen naturally saw Joseph Meer too.
Forty is the prime age for a man. In this age group, men tend to be mature and steady. The middle-aged man wore a mocha-blue work suit, tall and looked elegant and handsome, very composed.
She couldn’t help but feel nervous, immediately putting on a smile and greeting the approaching man, "Hello, Mr. Meer."
The man, suddenly called out, paused, seeming to just notice their group. He was stunned for a second, then frowned, looking at Felice Owen, then her assistant and the staff, before slowly speaking, "And you are?"
Felice Owen always believed that the talent show she participated in was very popular, and she herself had gained widespread recognition because of it.
But the director didn’t even recognize her.
Her whole body stiffened for a moment, feeling both embarrassed and awkward as she introduced herself, "Hello, Mr. Meer. I’m Felice Owen, one of the guests for this program."
"This is my assistant." She didn’t forget to introduce her assistant beside her.
Her assistant hastily and respectfully greeted the man, "Hello, Mr. Meer."
Joseph Meer then showed a sudden realization, nodding in a refined and easygoing manner, "Oh, oh, oh, I remember your name is on the guest list."
Felice Owen accompanied by a smile, completely changing from the earlier arrogant demeanor at the entrance, trying to flatter, "Yes, this is my first time recording this type of variety show. I hope Mr. Meer could look after me."
"Don’t worry, our variety show doesn’t have many rules. Just relax and record."
Joseph Meer simply comforted her with two sentences, then picked up his phone to check it, clearly having other matters, and hurriedly told them, "The makeup room is just around the left corner when you go in. You guys head over first. I’m going to pick someone up."
