The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1665: Thought That Big Shots Always Find Big Shots from Their Own World
Alfred Garland nodded: "Yes."
He then, belatedly, asked Vincent Moore: "Is there anything wrong with Ms. Quinlan being Amadeus’s girlfriend?"
Vincent Moore’s expression was quite indescribable, but as a man, he couldn’t engage in gossip behind others’ backs, so he just shook his head with a rather regretful expression: "I’m just asking."
He always thought that someone like Amadeus would definitely find someone of equal status, someone who could walk forward shoulder to shoulder.
Who would have thought he chose an 18 or 19-year-old student.
Vincent Moore didn’t say how, in his eyes, the two didn’t quite match. Someone like Ms. Quinlan, an ordinary person, probably would never understand Amadeus’s world, nor did he know how Amadeus came to like such an ordinary student.
Just then, the elevator arrived.
Vincent Moore shook off the confusion in his mind, said something to Alfred Garland, and then hurriedly left.

The next day.
Shawn Norton contacted Nathalie Quinlan at eleven in the morning, saying the schedule had changed at the last minute, and they needed to head to Inderia a day earlier.
Nathalie Quinlan didn’t have much luggage, so it didn’t take her long to pack, and she arrived at the airport terminal in roughly an hour.
She was early.
Shawn Norton and Jackson Wafford hadn’t arrived yet.
Only a few people from the research institute were there, and Stanley Zachmann was also present.
When the middle-aged man saw Nathalie Quinlan carrying only a backpack, he immediately stopped talking to the people around him and went over to help the girl with her things.
Nathalie Quinlan was used to handling things herself and didn’t let him help, calmly slinging the bag over her shoulder.
Stanley Zachmann sized up the lightweight bag, realizing she probably didn’t pack many clothes. He thought of his niece’s typical travel style with bags upon bags, and felt a pang of guilt, tugging at a corner of his clothes, unable to lift his head: "It’s all because Dad has been too busy these days. I should have bought you some clothes and helped you prepare for the trip, but I did nothing and often left you worrying about me."
His research institute duties were especially demanding; many things required his personal attention.
Even if he didn’t attend to matters personally, he at least needed to be present to direct others, otherwise, with research work, even a single screw could cause an irreversible loss to the nation.
Stanley Zachmann always wanted to spend more time with his daughter, but given that the project was already underway, he often felt helpless.
Moreover, since Nathalie was the kind of person who didn’t require much care, he never knew how to interact with his daughter... The more Stanley thought about it, the more guilty he felt, to the point of not having the face to see her.
Resolved in his heart to take leave from the institute after the Inderia negotiations were over, he planned to spend more time traveling around with his daughter.
With this thought, Stanley felt a bit less distressed, and he brightened up with a smile, telling Nathalie: "It’s alright if you didn’t bring many clothes. It doesn’t matter. Once we get to Inderia, I’ll buy some for you."
Nathalie only brought one or two changes of clothes and hadn’t thought of buying more, but she didn’t contradict Stanley’s words.
Stanley asked again with concern: "Nathalie, did you bring your toothbrush and such?"
"I did." The girl’s voice was low, with a pleasant sound.
Watching the girl’s beautiful face, Stanley felt a surge of pride in his heart, and he told her: "I also brought you a set of toiletries. Oh, and I had someone get you a set of face creams. It’s in my suitcase, I’ll give it to you once we get there."
He knew Nathalie liked things simple; Stanley almost never saw Nathalie wear makeup.
He didn’t quite know how to take care of his daughter, but he had heard colleagues talk about their own daughters, mentioning what skincare products and perfumes they liked.
