Chapter 215 – Textbook case of a tsundere (1)

Inside the private booth, beverages had already been served. They were mostly fresh squeezed watermelon juice and orange juice, etc.

When the first round of grilled pork neck, smoked lamb chop, shrimp with soy bean paste, and curry beef were served, none of the teenagers could control their drooling.

Compared to the others, Meng Yuran fared much better. He had been having his mom’s cooking daily, so he wasn’t as gluttonous as the others. That being said, when the dishes came, his actions of picking at the food were no slower than anyone else’s.

“Man, like I have said before, your mom’s cooking is truly out of this world!” Just eating wasn’t enough, Xu Jie needed to dish out compliments as he ate.

All the others nodded as they ate.

Li Yuebin couldn’t hide his envy. “Just how awesome is it to have your mom’s cooking daily? How are you so lucky to have a mother like her?”

Meng Yuran, “……”

He thought about it for a little bit and felt that his mother was quite good!

He did not let his complacency show, but he was feeling happier and happier. When he heard others complimenting his mother, he felt as though he was the one being complimented.

At that very moment, the glass door into the private room opened up once again.

All the teenagers thought that the second round of food was there, and they turned and looked in the direction of the entrance at the same time. Their eyes were emanating a green glow that could cut right through a person. The person who walked in almost walked right back out.

Lu Xun, “…. What’s up with you guys?”

Seeing that he was neither a server and that he had no food in his hands, the teenagers looked back down in disappointment and was about to carry on eating.

When they turned and looked, they noticed that even though it hadn’t been long, most of the food was already gone. With the exception of the soup, there wasn’t much left.

Meng Yuran frowned slightly and was somewhat unhappy. “What are you doing here?”

Lu Xun sat down in the empty spot next to him and gave him his standard smile. “Be good. Call me Uncle Lu.”

Like heck he was going to do that!

The teenager ignored him. He did not, however, asked him to leave either. Meng Yuran might have never been friendly to him, but he was still a kind one. All in all, this boy was like a kind little angel when compared to his cold, selfish, and unappreciative nephew!

Boss Lu looked affectionately at the teenager through his own personal filter.

Meng Yuran, who was getting goosebumps from being stared at, “……”

What’s with the disgusting look coming from him?! Nevertheless, he didn’t have too much time to pay the Lu guy much attention as the next round of food had just arrived.

Chicken feet with black bean sauce, Spanish mackerel with pickled cabbage, and even four Chesapeake blue crabs! The blue crabs came straight from Zhoushan that day and were super fresh.

As for the quantity, Lin Yiyi based it off the number of teenagers in the private booth.

Nobody expected an uninvited guest in the private booth.

All of the teenagers “knew better” than taking more than just their fair share.

As for Lu Xun…. Of course got none!

But he didn’t mind.

He was there to leech off of them; having any food was good enough.

Besides, as an adult, he couldn’t possibly fight with the kids over food.

Nevertheless, this was the perfect season for blue crabs. They were fresh and chubby. He should buy a case so he could thoroughly enjoy them.

Boss Lu, who was munching on chicken feet while thinking about how tasty blue crab was suddenly noticed two crab legs sitting on the plate in front of him.

Blue crab legs were very different from other crab’s in that one could tell that they were fat and juicy just from the looks of them.

He paused a little and looked over at the young boy sitting next to him.

Meng Yuran never even turned to look at him.

Meng Yuran said with mannerism as disdainful and indifferent as usual, “Crab legs are too hard. I can’t bite into them. You can have them.”
