After the charity ball was over, Lu Xun hitched a ride with Lin Yiyi.

As the host, Yao Sen was one of the last to leave.

He was very heart broken when he saw the couple leaving together. They were no longer bothering to try and conceal their relationship.

That was the one he had his eye on to be his son-in-law, alright?

But nobody there was blind and everybody had seen the suggestive dynamics between the two…

Obviously, Yao Sen was no blind person either!

Yao Yimeng, having no idea that her father was worried about her marriage, was now walking toward Yu Yi while clutching onto her dress.

Yu Yi was certainly a very attractive man. He would not otherwise have stood out among all the other young male actors.

She was not at the age to worry about her marriage.

Lu Mingzhe shrugged and said, “I heard that the charity ball that you attended tonight would be televised live so I came over to watch it with Shanshan.”

“Shanshan doesn’t need your company,” said the unhappy looking Meng Yuran.

These two boys had always been like that. They just never got along well with each other.

Everybody was already used to that by now.

It was already past 10 PM. Lin Yiyi quickly rushed Meng Shanshan upstairs to go shower and go to bed while she changed into her household outfit herself.

When she went back downstairs, she noticed that Housekeeper Zhang, too, was waiting for her in the living room.

Lin Yiyi: ? ? ? ?

How were you so energetic at your age?

Shouldn’t you be going to bed and getting up early?

Housekeeper Zhang couldn’t help but told Lin Yiyi excitedly that, “The two guest rooms are ready for Mr. Lu and young Mr. Lu.”

“They are staying over?”

Lin Yiyi looked over at the two Mr. Lu dubiously.

Lu Xun had been glowing all night long. That, on top of the special event tonight, he was very well dressed and looked a lot like a groom, almost coquettishly so.

Lu Mingzhe, on the other hand, was more reliable than his little uncle.

It was this teenager who explained to her, “Grandma Lin just called and had Housekeeper Zhang prepared the guest rooms.”

Ms. Lin Ping, too, was watching the event live.

Housekeeper Zhang only found out that the Lu’s uncle and nephew were over when Ms. Lin Ping called.

Housekeeper Zhang suggested carefully over the phone that, “It’s almost 11 PM already. And Mr. Lu was only over because he wanted to make sure that Yiyi got home safely. As such, should we prepare a guest room for him?”

Letting a man just stay over like that?

She wasn’t even going to give it any thought before shooting down the suggestion when Housekeeper Zhang sighed and carried on, “Besides, young Mr. Lu is also very tired waiting for the two of them to come home. He still has school tomorrow morning. It will be almost midnight by the time they get home.”

Lu Mingzhe was a pitiful little thing.

And very likeable.

In Ms. Lin Ping’s eyes, he was for sure a sweet little darling!

As such, Ms. Lin Ping could already see how tired the little cabbage was in front of her eyes. She closed her eyes and said, “Okay, do what you see fit!”

Right now, Housekeeper Zhang blinked at Lin Yiyi innocently and said, “That’s right. That’s what Ms. Lin Ping told me to do!”

Then there were the equally innocent looks coming from the two Mr. Lu.

Lin Yiyi, “……”

Something just felt off about this!

Meng Yuran crossed his hands in front of his chest and slowly… rolled his eyes.
