Lu Xun brought Lin Yiyi to a private club.

Lin Yiyi rarely came to places like this. The only one time that she was here she came for her arranged date.

At the time, Ms. Lin Ping had set up an arranged date for her and showed her a group picture that she couldn’t even see the look of the other party. She was speechless for a long time when she saw the picture.

And, that was the reason that she took Lu Xun as her date of the day!

Lin Yiyi looked over at Lu Xun.

Lu Xun took her over to the table next to the floor-to-ceiling window, the one that they sat in on that day.

He was sitting right there the other day and Lin Yiyi sat down across from him. Just like they were right now!

What happened just a year ago seemed very far away but also seemed like it had just taken place.

Lin Yiyi looked up and looked around. “I can’t believe you still remember… I was here for an arranged date that day.”

“And you took me for the other person mistakenly.”

Lin Yiyi looked at Lu Xun who was sitting across from her.

The elite man from that day was not stuck up or cold at all. He was so… she didn’t even know how to describe him in reality.

Perhaps the “Mr. Lu” that she didn’t meet the other day was the true domineering CEO.

Looking back, Lin Yiyi didn’t feel awkward anymore. Quite the contrary, she found it amusing. “Well, both of you have the surname Lu. There were just the two of three patrons at the time, and the other two were sitting at the same table. Plus, I asked you right away whether you are Mr. Lu the minute I sat down.”

“And you told me that you had been married once, have two children, and the older one was 13 years old.”

Lu Xun had good memories.

Lin Yiyi pursed her lips. “You told me that you have a 13-year-old!”

As it turned out, he was referring to his nephew!

Lu Mingzhe was, indeed, 13 years old, and Lu Xun was his legal guardian!

“Is that the excuse that you use to turn down other girls?”

Lin Yiyi was genuinely curious.

How was it possible that a successful man of his caliber had no scandals whatsoever, nevermind that he was in the very complicated entertainment circle no less!

Lu Xun nodded, then shook his head.

He draped his jacket casually over the back of his seat and rolled up his sleeves, just like the day when he saw her.

“You know how it is in the entertainment circle. Everybody has their own agenda, males or females alike.”

He looked over at Lin Yiyi and said, “That being said, when you said you have been married and have kids, I knew that you are different from the others.”

Different, indeed…

Who would that be silly to first reveal one’s marital and family status when they were hitting on someone?

Not unless they were cray-cray!

Nevertheless, her stupefied look when she found out that she had the wrong person was so incredibly cute.

Come to think about it, Meng Shanshan’s expression was exactly like her mother’s!

Lu Xun liked Meng Shanshan so much because she was the one that resembled Lin Yiyi the most. He couldn’t help but wanted to woo her, tease her, and dote on Lin Yiyi.

“I know this is a little early but I am ready, Lin Yiyi.”

He had, once again, presented her with the diamond.

This diamond ring was so ridiculously big that she would not be able to wear it on a regular basis. She worried that her hand would be chopped off!

Nevertheless, she couldn’t deny that a woman’s attention would be grabbed by it.

That very moment, Lin Yiyi seemed to suddenly have the desire to listen to what else he had to say.

“I want to be married to you. Will you marry me?”

As Lu Xun finished talking, as though on cue, a server walked over to them carrying with them a big bundle of roses and placed it in Lu Xun’s hand.

Lu Xun handed the flowers over to Lin Yiyi, picked up the ring, and looked at her.

Lin Yiyi had never planned her future in any specifics, but she had always planned to find someone who liked her and she liked to be with. They would have a house and car and a pair of children…

It seemed all of those were coming true when she wasn’t expecting…

The order, though, was a little bit out of whack!

But that was not important.

No woman could resist a proposal like that. It didn’t have to be super romance, but anyone could feel his sincerity.

And that was what was important.

Had Lu Xun not liked her that much, someone as slow as her would never have noticed. She didn’t even realize that till everybody else around her did.

Did she like Lu Xun?

Of course she did.

If she didn’t, she would have blacklisted him a long time ago with the rate that he came over for free food and drinks.

It wasn’t everyday that one would run into some as shameless as him… And she was that lucky person!
