The Villain Is Destined to Die: But as the Creator, I know All Endings-Chapter 230: Day - 1: Lady Aisha of the Frost Tower
"What would it take for you all to just use the front door?"
Leon stated flatly, his gaze fixed on her.
"Oh?" Aisha replied, a smirk forming as she gracefully lifted herself from beside Leon’s bed. Her silver hair slid down past her hips, revealing a puffy blue gown, its edges patterned with delicate white flowers.
"You don’t look surprised," she continued, pursing her lips into a faint smile. Her silver eyes narrowed as she remained seated on the bed. "You seem to be aware of our arrival..."
"Leon Valentine," she said, "the blessed one of Goddess Silvermoon. Tell me... What is your purpose for visiting my kingdom?"
Aisha spoke earnestly now, carrying the weight of her title. As one of the Calamity Heads of this era, she embodied the authority that came with it.
Leon kept his eyes on her the entire time. He hadn’t sensed her entering the room at all.
Though he knew she meant him no harm, but the thought alone made his throat itch. Just moments ago, his body had been completely defenseless.
If it hadn’t been her, he would have been assassinated in his sleep.
Leon glanced toward Rumi.
She stood near the fireplace, exactly where he had ordered her to remain. Her frosty gaze was locked onto Aisha. Or more precisely, onto the entity residing within her.
Returning to Aisha, Leon tried to activate his skill again.
"..."
But, nothing seems to happen. His appearance stated the same. Leon felt as if he lost all of his skills, he wasn’t even able to even communicate with Rumi.
That proves it...
’Her skill is still active.’ Leon thought to himself. ’That’s good.’
Leon maintained his neutral face, and without an ounce of fear he answered.
"You know why I am here... Did you not see me today?" He tugged one of his hands inside his pocket, "Afterall you put your precious bond after me all this time."
Aisha let out a low chuckle.
"Good. Good, I thought you’d notice her sooner or later, but my, my..." Her silver eyes curved with amusement. "You knew all along, huh? Makes me wonder... was it your sister who tipped you off? Or that dear princess of yours?"
She waved the thought away with a small shrug. "But who am I to pry, hm?"
This time, Aisha shifted properly on the bed. Her blue dress folded neatly as she stretched her legs out, settling into a relaxed posture.
"Anyways," she sighed, resting her chin on her palm, "I wasn’t the one who wanted to meet you. "Kiki, You can come out now."
The air behind her rippled. Ana a figure slowly took shape.
At first, it was just a vague outline. Then details filled in, piece by piece, until a petite girl stood there.
Her presence felt similar to Rumi’s, yet distinctly different. She looked like a living doll.
Frilled fabric wrapped around her small body, accented with white ribbons and lace. Decorative hairpins adorned her neatly styled frosty hair.
Unlike Rumi’s simple dress, Kiki’s appearance was carefully arranged.
As her eyes opened, she tilted her head gently toward Rumi.
"It’s nice to meet you again after so long, Rumi," Kiki said with a warm smile. "How have you been?"
Her voice carried emotion. Curiosity. Genuine warmth.
Rumi stiffened slightly.
Then she replied calmly, her tone unchanged.
"It is a pleasure to see you," Rumi said. "Although I have no recollection of you... I am aware of your existence through my bond’s memories, Kiki."
Leon’s eyes narrowed just a fraction at Kiki.
’She’s maintaining a humanoid form... even with Aisha’s [Shinfield] active,’ he realized.
That alone was big.
[Shinfield], a field that distorted and suppressed all abilities within its range, remained active. And yet, Kiki stood unaffected by it.
In contrast, Rumi could barely maintain even the simplest form of telepathic communication with Leon.
Zzzz-!!
In a blink of an eye, Kiki vanished from where she once stood, and reappeared right in front of Rumi.
She truly was at the peak of a True Spirit’s power.
Rumi almost flinched. But before she could react, her forehead touched something far colder than ice.
Kiki was right in front of her. Their foreheads pressed together, and both of Kiki’s small hands had already locked around Rumi’s wrists.
"What are you—"
Before Rumi could finish, Kiki spoke aloud.
"Just as we feared," she said calmly. "Your mana circuits have regressed into a developmental state."
Rumi’s eyes widened slightly.
"That’s bad," Kiki continued. "We were already reduced to only two of our kind. At this stage... reclaiming our lost Authority will be far more difficult."
Rumi understood enough to grasp the meaning. Leon had once said something similar after examining her mana circuits himself.
Kiki slowly released her grip and stepped back, her expression tinged with something close to sorrow.
"I never thought it would be you," she murmured. "To make such a sacrifice... for a mere human."
She sighed lightly. "Then again, you and Charlotte always shared the same foolish ideals. So I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised."
Kiki’s gaze lingered on Rumi for a moment longer before shifting. Her eyes moved past her.
Toward the black-haired boy standing near the bed, golden eyes watching in silence.
"...Interesting," Kiki said. She studied Leon openly now. "A True Calamity’s blessing as a bond, and a Light utility at that."
Her eyes narrowed slightly. "Even I find that hard to believe. A Light user, in this era..." She tilted her head. "The last one I encountered was when Auriala was still human."
She paused, noticing something unusual in Leon’s body..
"...Hm?"
Zzzzz-!!
Kiki vanished again.
And in the next instant, she reappeared directly in front of Leon.
"...?!" This made eLeon almost flinch and fall back.
Kiki’s gaze pierced through him, as if dissecting something beneath flesh and bone.
"...That’s strange," she muttered. "There are two souls inside your body."
A brief silence followed inside the room. Not even Leon had expected her to say this.
"What?" Aisha spoke up sharply from the bed. She raised her body even more. "Two souls you say?"
Kiki straightened her doll-like face which was filled with genuine bewilderment.
"Look at this Aisha, I’ve never seen this before. There’s two souls in his body, and the strange part is, both were coexisting."
She looked at Leon’s face and asked, "What even are you?"
