The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 121: Rachel, Let Mona Come Stay With Us
[Is Renee Jennings trying to copy Naomi Kenway? Naomi started making furniture, so now she has to do it too. Look at her, she’s probably been practicing in secret just waiting for this day!]
[I know, right? But Renee Jennings is not very good at it. Naomi Kenway’s work is much more refined. Renee is just fumbling around, and it looks so forced. I’d say if you don’t have the skills, don’t take on the job!]
[What is wrong with you people in the comments above? Rachel is just making some furniture, and you say she’s copying Naomi Kenway? You guys think way too highly of Naomi! That cowshed is really crude. It’s totally understandable that Rachel wants to provide a better environment for Mona!]
[Then tell me, who else in all of Chinese reality TV has learned to make a stool on the spot besides Naomi Kenway? Isn’t Renee Jennings just trying to copy Naomi because she gets so much attention? And besides, logically speaking, shouldn’t Renee have swept the leaves in the yard first? She just starts making a stool in the middle of a messy yard? I really don’t get it.]
[Why are there so many haters in the stream? Rachel, don’t let them get to you. I’ll support you forever!]
...
The smell in the yard was a bit strong, and the fumes were giving Renee Jennings a headache. She was covered in wood shavings, a complete mess, but her motivation hadn’t waned in the slightest.
She had been at it for hours, but what she had made still looked all wrong. Renee Jennings took a deep breath and continued her work.
"Mom..." Nathan Lynch walked over, faint dark circles under his eyes.
"I finished my exercises."
Renee Jennings took his notebook and pen, scanned the pages, and circled the wrong answers.
"You got three wrong out of a hundred problems?! Mona, if you keep being this careless, you’ll be facing the wall."
Nathan Lynch’s eyelids drooped. "We just learned this stuff. I’m not used to it yet..."
"Don’t make excuses for yourself! Wrong is wrong. When you’re taking a test, no one cares why you got it wrong. All that matters are the results."
Nathan Lynch mumbled a sullen "mhm."
Seeing a staff member approach, Renee Jennings instantly put on a smile. "Yes? Can I help you?"
"The other guests have already arrived at the mission location for breakfast. Ms. Jennings, you should hurry over too!" the staff member in the blue uniform urged.
Renee Jennings hadn’t achieved the results she wanted and was reluctant to leave.
"We were planning on tidying up the house first, so we’ll skip breakfast."
"It’s not just for breakfast, there’s also a mission to be announced. Ms. Jennings, you really should hurry over."
Renee Jennings went to change her clothes, then left with Nathan Lynch, looking annoyed.

Since Renee Jennings was taking a while, the other guests decided to start eating.
The table was laden with seafood, and the guests were carefully peeling it for their children.
Naomi Kenway had just placed a shrimp on her plate when Ian Shaw stopped her before she could reach for it.
"Ian?"
The other guests thought Ian Shaw was throwing a tantrum and asked what was wrong.
But Ian Shaw just asked, "Excuse me, sir, are there any smaller gloves?"
Ian’s hands were so small that the plastic gloves were far too big, with a large empty section at the fingertips.
"Only the standard size."
So Ian simply took off the gloves and said to Naomi Kenway, "Mom, Ian already washed his hands." He then expertly peeled a shrimp, even deveining it with practiced ease.
After peeling a plump, white shrimp, Ian popped it into Naomi Kenway’s mouth.
The other guests watched with envy.
Ruby Preston said, "Ian is so young, but he already knows how to dote on his mom. He’s such a good boy!"
Margaret Jennings was also amazed. "You peeled that shrimp so well! Ian, who taught you how to do that?"
Ian puffed out his little chest, a proud look on his face. "Daddy taught Ian. He said Ian can take good care of Mommy too. Isn’t Ian a super great kid?"
"Ian is amazing," Margaret Jennings praised sincerely. "So considerate and caring toward his mom. He’s the absolute dream child."
A pang of bitterness hit Chelsea Raines as she watched, and her movements, usually practiced, slowed as she peeled her own shrimp.
Jared Woods opened his mouth. "Mommy, shrimpy, ah, ah..."
The contrast made Chelsea Raines angrier the more she looked. She fiercely shoved the shrimp in her hand into Jared Woods’s mouth. "All you know how to do is eat! You don’t care about your mom at all. You’re just like your good-for-nothing father!"
Jared Woods didn’t understand, chewing meekly with a hurt expression.
[Ian is such a little angel!]
[I can’t believe her husband taught Ian how to peel shrimp to take care of his mom. So I guess Nina and her husband’s relationship isn’t as bad as the rumors say!]
[As a faithful believer, I’d go vegan for a month in exchange for a kid like Ian! I love shrimp but hate peeling them. And if I could become a mom without the pain, that’d be even better!]
...
Renee Jennings rushed over with Mona. "Sorry, something held us up on the way."
Ruby Preston said, "It’s fine, Rachel. Hurry up and eat!"
Carina Sanders had the most sensitive nose. She wrinkled her delicate brows and leaned into Margaret Jennings’s arms. "Mommy, what’s that strong smell!"
As Renee Jennings got closer, Jared Woods pinched his nose. "It stinks!"
Renee Jennings froze.
"Aunt Rachel, you stink!" Jared Woods said bluntly, turning his head away.
The yard had a cowshed, and she’d been soaking in that environment all morning to make furniture. ’Could it be...?’
Renee Jennings’s face flushed crimson. She wished she could find a hole to crawl into and disappear.
Chelsea Raines quickly covered his mouth and scolded him. "Jared Woods, what have I taught you? Didn’t I tell you to respect your elders?!"
Jared Woods could only make muffled, whimpering sounds.
The house where they were having breakfast belonged to an elderly couple, who had been busy at the stove. The wife, bringing over another dish, overheard the commotion. After a quick word with the production team, she suggested, "Young lady, the house you’re staying in must be pretty rough, right? Come on, let me take you upstairs to have a shower!"
Completely mortified, Renee Jennings had no choice but to agree.
’Instead of finishing the furniture, I just ended up stinking.’ Renee Jennings gritted her teeth.
After Renee Jennings left, Nathan Lynch sat at a corner of the table. He kept his head down, picking at his rice without touching any of the other dishes. He was a small, silent little ball.
"There’s so much food on the table. Don’t you like any of it?"
Naomi Kenway used the serving chopsticks to place some food on his plate, deliberately avoiding the seafood.
Nathan Lynch looked up, his eyes dark and moist. "...Thank you, Aunt Naomi."
Margaret Jennings helped put some food on his plate too. "Mona, if there’s a dish you can’t reach, just let me know. Don’t be so reserved. You kids are still growing, you should eat more nutritious food so you can grow up tall and strong."
A short while later, Renee Jennings returned. She cleared her throat and sat down beside Nathan Lynch. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"Mona, eat this." Renee Jennings’s chopsticks froze just before they touched the plate of scallops. She abruptly changed direction and picked up a piece of broccoli for Nathan Lynch instead.
"Rachel, why don’t you let Mona come stay at my place? He could keep Jared company!"
Chelsea Raines offered.
