The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 344: The Seventh Recording Session — The Cute Kids’ Homes
Caleb Bishop reached out and held Jeanette Kensington’s shoulders. His expression was both tolerant and earnest.
"Jan, listen to me. If that day ever comes, if you really do meet someone more suitable, I will break up with you. That’s your freedom, and I’ll respect your decision."
His voice was as gentle as ever, the tone Jeanette Kensington loved most, but the words sent a chill down her spine, and she couldn’t stop the tears from falling.
When she had her mental breakdown, this was the man who stayed by her side, never leaving. But he was also the one who repeatedly pushed her to the brink of an emotional collapse.
He was always emotionally stable, never getting angry. Consequently, he approached everything with an unhurried, composed demeanor. Jeanette Kensington had never once felt he truly cared. Caleb Bishop seemed to be completing a task—indulgent yet detached, permissive yet indifferent. His emotions were like a flat line, never showing a single ripple because of her.
"Enough!" Jeanette Kensington screamed, her voice raw. "I’ve had enough of you! Is this how you handle things? So generous and understanding! Should I give you an award for it?!"
Shaking her head, she cried, "We’ve been together for almost ten years, and you say you’ll respect my decision and break up with me. Who wants that kind of respect?! You don’t care about me at all! I can’t feel an ounce of love from you!"
"I’m sorry. Please don’t cry," Caleb Bishop said. His eyes held a mix of helplessness and a hint of reproach, as if he were dealing with an unruly child.
The study door opened, and Jackson Kensington peeked out. He was startled by the scene. "What’s going on? Why are you two out here? Are you actually fighting?"
Lorraine Warren hurried to Jeanette Kensington’s side and supported her, asking with concern, "What happened? Why are you fighting all of a sudden? Did Caleb bully you?"
Jeanette Kensington had already wiped her tears. Before Caleb Bishop could speak, she explained, "I’m fine. Sorry for worrying you, Mom and Dad. Caleb didn’t bully me. I was just in a bad mood. We were planning to see a musical, but who would’ve thought it would start drizzling? Our plans are ruined now."
Lorraine Warren smiled and said, "Oh, you. Still acting like a child, getting upset over such a small thing." She then turned to Caleb Bishop. "Sorry, Caleb. I misunderstood you just now. Our Jan has been spoiled since she was little, so she can be a bit temperamental."
Caleb Bishop shook his head.
"Mom, how could you expose my shortcomings in front of Caleb?" Jeanette Kensington whined playfully.
"Oh, you. Can’t I even tell the truth anymore?"
Jackson Kensington said, "Don’t just stand around outside the study. Come on in."
Caleb Bishop looked up at him with a complicated expression and nodded.
Jackson Kensington sat in the chair at his desk. He glanced down casually. "How long have you two been here? You didn’t hear your mother and me talking, did you?"
"We just got here. We were just chatting by the door for a bit," Jeanette Kensington said, curious. "Dad, why do you ask?"
Lorraine Warren chided with a smile, "Just answer when your father asks you a question. Why all the questions back?"
Jeanette Kensington’s eyes narrowed in understanding, and she drew out her words. "Ooooh, so you two were flirting in the study. No wonder you were so nervous."
A smile appeared on Jackson Kensington’s face, his previous worry vanishing completely. "Alright, you cheeky girl."
His gaze fell on the file folder in Caleb Bishop’s hands. "Caleb, you came over because you had something to discuss with me, didn’t you?"
Caleb Bishop nodded, opened the folder, and took out a paper document, handing it to Jackson Kensington. "There’s a pretty good collaboration proposal. I brought it for you to look over."
"Oh?" Jackson Kensington’s face lit up. "If you’re calling it good, it must be a major deal!"
Caleb Bishop just smiled without a word.
Jackson Kensington skimmed through the document. After reading it carefully, his brow furrowed. "This..."
He put the document down, his gaze on Caleb Bishop tinged with hesitation. "It’s a good project, worth the investment. But the amount of capital required is too large. If—and I’m just saying if—it fails, our company’s cash flow will be completely cut off. Besides, a sum this huge..." Jackson Kensington frowned. "I don’t think we can come up with it."
"I’ve already contacted the banks. They said they can help us with the funding," Caleb Bishop said. "As for the risk, it’s certainly high, but the returns are substantial. You can’t have high returns without high risk, can you?"
Caleb Bishop’s voice was low, slow, and persuasive. Jackson Kensington felt his resolve waver, but he was still afraid to take such a massive risk.
As if he could read his mind, Caleb Bishop added, "We can invest in installments. That would reduce the risk and allow for a faster return of capital."
"Good, good!" Jackson Kensington slammed his hand on the desk, making his decision on the spot. "We’ll do it like that!"
Jackson Kensington stood up and patted Caleb Bishop’s shoulder. "With you here, my position as chairman is more secure than ever."
Lorraine Warren and Jeanette Kensington, who were standing to the side, also smiled.
Caleb Bishop lowered his gaze. "It’s what I ought to do."

The day before the filming of *My Super Mom*, Naomi Kenway received a message from the production team outlining the general content for the next episode.
After reading it, Naomi Kenway couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. The next episode’s format was quite different. Instead of the usual trips, this one would be filmed at home, documenting the daily life of the cute kids with their moms and dads.
At the end, the production team made sure to ask for the guests’ opinions on whether they agreed to have the show filmed in their homes.
Naomi Kenway, of course, had no objections. She had been exhausted from promoting her movie the past few days, so avoiding a long journey was a welcome change.
Before agreeing, however, she asked for Ian’s and Ethan Shaw’s opinions. Neither of them had any objections, so Naomi Kenway replied to the production team.
Because of the filming the next day, Naomi Kenway went to bed early. However, she ended up waking up a little later than planned. She had set her alarm for five, but she just couldn’t drag herself out of bed.
She rubbed her eyes. "Why did the alarm only go off once? Did you turn it off for me?"
Ethan Shaw, his back to her as he put on his suit jacket, hummed in affirmation. "It’s the weekend. You’ve been busy for so many days, you should get some proper rest. Besides, it’s only six o’clock. There’s still some time before the crew arrives. You have plenty of time to get up and get ready. Don’t always be so wound up."
Naomi Kenway scratched her head. She remembered the crew was coming at seven to film. She got out of bed to wash up.
After changing in the walk-in closet, Naomi Kenway saw that Ethan Shaw was already dressed and putting on his watch. "Are you heading out?" she asked.
Ethan Shaw nodded. "Something urgent came up at the office. I can’t have breakfast with you today."
"When will you be back then?"
"This afternoon. No, by noon."
Naomi Kenway said, "Be safe on the road."
Ethan Shaw’s lips curved into a smile. "Okay."
