The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 355: After Lying for So Long, Don’t You Feel Guilty, Renee Jennings
"How dare you curse me! I think you’ve got a death wish!"
Sophia Zobel angrily raised her hand, but Renee Jennings grabbed it. She glared at Sophia Zobel and, with a hard push, shoved her to the ground. "Have you had enough? Did you have to come and provoke me when I’m already stressed?! I only put up with you before because of Nathaniel!"
"Oww..." Sophia Zobel yelped from the floor.
SLAP! Nathaniel slapped Renee Jennings across the face. His face was flushed red, his lips trembling.
"Renee Jennings, you’re getting more and more out of line! How dare you hit my mother? Who gave you the nerve?!"
The force of the slap snapped Renee Jennings’s head to the side. Her hair fell into disarray as she stared at Nathaniel in disbelief, tears streaming down her face. "You hit me? You hit me back when you were keeping a mistress on the side! And now that your mother is bullying me, you hit me again!"
"You’re damn right I hit you!" Nathaniel’s face was vicious. "You’d better learn your place. Don’t think I won’t deal with you just because you have a little dirt on me. If I go down, you’re not getting away clean! If my cheating gets out, you’ll be exposed as the mistress you once were. If I can’t hold my head high, you can forget about living a decent life! Go ahead, try me. Let’s see who’s more powerful: you, Renee Jennings, or the Lynch Family? Don’t think you can control me just because you have a few shares. If I want them, I have ten thousand ways to get them back! But you..."
He snorted. "You, with a father who doesn’t dote on you and a mother who doesn’t love you, what will you do without me? Your family has already found their real daughter; you, the impostor, have to step aside! It’d be one thing if you were willing to live a normal life, but everyone knows you, Renee Jennings, have ambitions higher than the sky. You want to be a famous actress, but have you taken a look in the mirror? Do you even have what it takes? The only way you can achieve that dream is by relying on me. Without me, you’re nothing! And stop throwing my cheating in my face. You think you’re so innocent? You seduced me when I was with Victor Vance. Now that I’m married to you, I’m not allowed to be seduced by anyone else? If you behave, you can still live a peaceful, comfortable life. But if you insist on making a scene, don’t blame me for being ruthless!"
Nathaniel helped Sophia Zobel up from the floor, his face full of guilt. "Mom, you’ve suffered."
"Good job, son. She needed to be taught a lesson," Sophia Zobel said, patting his hand repeatedly, clearly feeling vindicated.
Renee Jennings burst into tears. "Nathaniel, you’re a monster..."

Victor Vance had a busy work schedule that required her to go abroad, but before leaving, she came to visit Naomi Kenway. They were in the middle of filming the show, and for a moment, Victor Vance looked lost and uncertain as she faced the camera, trying desperately to compose herself. Ever since that incident, she had developed a fear of cameras. Even when accepting awards overseas, she insisted on wearing a veil, but many people still recognized her.
But as time went on, the verbal abuse faded, and the strange looks became fewer and fewer. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
During their recent phone call, Naomi Kenway had explained the filming situation, her words full of concern for her. Victor Vance was touched, but she knew she couldn’t hide forever. ’Sooner or later, I have to face it—whether it’s this moment or the moment I expose the disgusting truth about Nathaniel and Renee Jennings. I have to calmly accept the scrutiny of the spotlight.’
Naomi Kenway immediately grabbed Victor Vance’s hand. "I’m filming right now. Come on in."
The warmth from their joined hands spread through her, giving Victor Vance an invisible strength. She subconsciously straightened her back.
Victor Vance handed over a beautifully wrapped gift box. "Nina," she said, "I made an outfit for you and one for Ian. They’re a matching mother-son set. I hope you like them."
Naomi Kenway took it happily and praised it effusively after opening the package. "Thank you, I love it."
The mother-son set was a modern Chinese style. The qipao was a lovely cyan, adorned with a blue-and-white porcelain pattern that gave it a rich, Eastern charm. Ian’s outfit was a matching Chinese-style shirt and shorts.
[Wow, what beautiful clothes. They look a little familiar. Is it from a niche foreign brand? They’re so pretty.]
[Is this Nina’s friend? She looks kind of familiar, uncannily familiar, but she doesn’t have a generic face. So weird.]
[Two beauties!!]
[Such well-designed clothes. You can tell a lot of thought went into them. The embroidery on the pattern is so delicate and beautiful.]
[What a refined-looking beauty. She seems so easy to get along with. As expected, beauties hang out with other beauties.]
[Weird, why do I feel like Mona looks a little like this lady? Not just a little, they look really similar.]
[So it’s not just me. They really do look alike.]
...
At noon, Naomi Kenway and Victor Vance went to pick up the kids together. Naomi Kenway knew that Victor Vance wanted to see Mona one last time before she left.

The bell rang. Renee Jennings struggled to spot Nathan Lynch in the crowd. She waved and called out with a smile, "Mona!"
Usually, a driver would take Nathan Lynch to and from school; she and Nathaniel rarely came themselves. But for the past two days of filming, Renee Jennings had made it a point to be there for pickup, rain or shine.
The smile she forced was too wide, and it inadvertently pulled at the cut on the corner of her lip. Renee Jennings quickly dropped the smile, silently praying she had concealed the wound on her face well enough.
Nathan Lynch walked over with a neutral expression. Suddenly, he noticed something, whipped his head around, and ran in the other direction, shouting, "Mom!"
Renee Jennings could only watch as Nathan Lynch threw himself into Victor Vance’s arms. The picture of a loving mother and her devoted son was both heartwarming and jarring.
Rage boiled in Renee Jennings’s heart. She was about to go over, but then she caught sight of Naomi Kenway next to Victor Vance out of the corner of her eye, and her expression instantly became more wary.
The cameraman filming nearby didn’t understand the situation and prompted her, "Mr. Jennings, aren’t you going to get Mona?"
Renee Jennings strode over and forcefully pulled Nathan Lynch out of Victor Vance’s arms. Once he realized what was happening, Nathan Lynch started flailing and hitting at Renee Jennings.
"Let me go! You villain, let me go!"
Renee Jennings’s brow furrowed as she gripped his arm tightly.
The father and son were truly cut from the same cloth.
She frowned at Victor Vance, her expression complex. Mindful of the cameras, she suppressed her anger. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to see my child," Victor Vance said, her expression frank. "I’m his mother. I have the right to see him."
"You don’t deserve to see him," Renee Jennings said instinctively. "Someone like you, with no moral compass, you’d be tainting my son just by looking at him! If you really cared about him, you’d stay far away and stop disturbing our family’s life. I see right through your schemes..." With tears in her eyes, Renee Jennings continued, "You just want revenge, to throw our lives into chaos! Don’t think I won’t do anything just because the cameras are here. If you dare hurt Mona, I will never let you get away with it!"
Victor Vance frowned as she listened to Renee Jennings twist the truth.
"You say that with such self-righteousness. Renee Jennings, don’t you feel the least bit guilty? It must be exhausting, telling lies for so long."
