Chapter 199: Chapter: 199 Is there any fastival going on?

Vivian clenched his fists as strength surged through his body.

Power flowed like a wild river, steady yet fierce, making his blood boil. He could feel it clearly now.

"And I also have the five elements..." he muttered under his breath.

Normally, a Grandmaster could control only one main element.

That was common sense across the entire continent.

But when Vivian tried to hold onto his first element, something strange had happened.

Four more elements had gathered inside his stars on their own.

They did not fight each other. Instead, they merged and slowly turned into a spinning vortex.

Now, he possessed five main elements.

More than anyone in the long history of the continent of Elora.

Thinking about this, Vivian let out a quiet sigh and lifted his head.

He looked at the sky above him. The storm had already passed.

There were no clouds left, only a calm sky. The moon peeked through the darkness, pale and silent, watching over the forest below.

"How many years has it been..." he muttered softly.

He was about to fly away when something caught his eye.

He stopped.

Not far from him stood a girl, around fourteen or fifteen years old.

She was staring at him without blinking, her eyes wide with shock, as if she had forgotten how to breathe.

And there was someone else.

"A sheep?" Vivian frowned slightly as his gaze shifted.

The sheep was also looking at him. Its eyes were strange...calm, sharp, and filled with something complex.

Vivian could not understand what it was thinking, but it was definitely not an ordinary sheep.

"Where did they come from?" he muttered.

This place was deep inside the jungle.

Even experienced hunters avoided this area. For a young girl to be here... it made no sense.

"They’re lucky," Vivian thought. "Very lucky."

If a wild beast had found them first, they would not have survived.

After sighing once more, Vivian snapped his fingers.

Thin threads of mana flowed out from his body and gently wrapped around the girl and the sheep, tying them to him so they would not fall.

"Hey, girl. What is your name?" Vivian asked calmly.

The girl snapped out of her daze when she heard his voice. She hurriedly replied, "Z-Zara."

Her face turned a little red as she kept staring at him, clearly nervous.

"Zara, where is your home?" Vivian asked.

"N-Near the forest... there is a village," Zara said in a shaky voice.

"Hmm." Vivian nodded.

He rose into the air and followed the direction she pointed toward.

As he flew, he also picked up the sheep she had left behind in the jungle. The sheep struggled for a moment, then went quiet.

After some time, the village came into view.

Vivian slowly descended and placed Zara and the sheep safely near her home.

Without saying anything more, he turned around and rose into the sky once again.

Moments later, his figure flew straight toward his family estate, disappearing into the night sky. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

As he flew through the night sky, Vivian let out a quiet sigh.

"I’m so confused right now..." he muttered.

His mind drifted back to that strange, dream-like state.

The life he lived as Vivian inside that dream felt real, yet unreal at the same time.

The memories were clear, but they did not fully belong to him. Because of that, his heart felt heavy, and his thoughts were in chaos.

That life made him question his own existence.

The dream-like state had ended when Charlotte transported their parents to safety.

At that moment, everything had shattered, and he had awakened.

"But why did she seal my soul..." Vivian whispered.

If she had not sealed his soul, he would never have seen those things.

But she had sealed it with the hope of reviving him one day. From her point of view, it made sense.

Still, it left him lost.

"And what happened after she returned to the empire..." he muttered.

His chest tightened.

"Did she die...?"

Vivian sighed once more as he looked into the distant horizon. The wind brushed past his face, but it could not calm his heart.

"I want to see her again..."

As he continued to fly, night slowly faded and morning arrived.

The sun rose in the distance, its light spreading across the sky. Yet Vivian was still in the air.

He had not even reached the Southern Border.

Vivian finally stopped and hovered in midair. A deep frown appeared on his face.

"...Where the hell am I?" he muttered.

Even after flying straight for twelve hours, he still had not reached the south. That made no sense. His speed was not slow, and his mana had barely dropped.

"I should have reached it by now," he said quietly.

As he was thinking and trying to figure out where south actually was, a loud voice suddenly echoed inside his head.

[You fucking idiot. You are going east. You have been going east for the past twelve hours, you asshole!!!]

"Huh?" Vivian frowned deeply. "Is that really true?"

He could not believe it. That perverted sword spirit was not someone he trusted easily.

"How do I know you are telling the truth?" Vivian asked coldly.

[Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!!!!!] the sword spirit screamed.

[How can someone have such a shit brain?! I thought you were going somewhere to buy gifts or explore, but no! You were going home! Your home is south, you idiot! And yet you flew east because your sense of direction is trash!]

Vivian fell silent.

He slowly turned his head and looked at the position of the sun.

"...Ah."

The truth hit him hard.

He clenched his jaw and turned around in the air.

[Hey, softie. What happened?] the sword spirit spoke again, his tone finally calm as Vivian flew in the correct direction.

[You know, I was sleeping the whole time. I only woke up yesterday.]

He continued, his voice full of confusion.

[When I woke up, I saw you flying in the air. Only a Grandmaster can do that. And your face has changed too. You look more grown up than before I went to sleep. So... what happened?]

Vivian sighed inside his mind.

For a moment, he wondered if the sword spirit had seen her. That thought made his chest feel tight, so he pushed it aside.

"At least three to four years have passed since you fell asleep," Vivian said quietly.

[What!!!??]

The sword spirit screamed.

[What do you mean three to four years have passed?! Where are we now?! What happened to the queen?! Did she get married while I was away?!]

His voice suddenly became weak.

[No... my beloved Eve... why didn’t you wait for your only love?]

The sword spirit began to cry, shouting nonsense that no one would believe.

He kept rambling, blaming fate, cursing the heavens, and mourning a love that had never truly existed.

Vivian stayed silent.

The queen had already been married long ago. She had four children now. She did not even know who the sword spirit was.

Talking to him would only make things worse.

Vivian shut him out and focused his mind.

The wind rushed past him as he flew faster toward the south, leaving the sword spirit’s cries behind in the empty sky.

As he flew, Vivian suddenly stopped in midair. He lowered his head and looked at his upper body.

"...Huh?"

His upper body was completely bare, and even his pants looked worn and torn. He had not noticed it before, but now that he did, it felt strange.

When he looked down, he saw buildings, streets, and people moving around.

’A market?’

Vivian flew down and landed lightly on the ground.

As he walked forward, he looked around carefully. The streets were clean, the shops were full, and people looked busy yet cheerful.

"Whose territory is this?" he muttered.

"And why is it so lively?"

There were many powerful noble houses in the east, but from what Vivian knew, most of them were corrupt.

Yet this place felt different. It felt like a celebration was coming soon.

Vivian walked into a clothing shop and picked a simple brown shirt and a pair of black pants. He went into the changing room and changed his clothes.

When he came out, he walked to the counter.

He snapped his fingers lightly. He still had some money left from long ago, from when his grandfather had given him gold to buy things.

"How much?" Vivian asked.

The cashier was a young man. He smiled politely and said, "That will be three gold coins, sir."

"Hmm." Vivian nodded.

He took out four gold coins and placed them on the counter.

"By the way," Vivian asked, "whose territory is this?"

The cashier’s smile widened a little. "This is Count Zalan Harencross’s territory."

"Oh... Count Harencross?" Vivian frowned slightly.

The name sounded familiar.

He thought for a moment, then his eyes narrowed in understanding.

"...Ah."

Charlotte’s maternal uncle.

Thinking of that, Vivian asked another question. "Is there any festival going on?"

The atmosphere was too lively. If it was a festival, he thought, maybe he could bring Charlotte here one day and spend time with her.

The cashier shook his head. "No festival."

Then he added, lowering his voice a little, "Count Harencross’s daughter is getting married next month. I heard the groom is the son of a duke from the Arya Empire."

Vivian froze.

The lively noise of the market suddenly felt distant.
