Chapter 129: It’s Owen Again!

Asher could see her anger rising as he finally raised his hand in defeat. Then he smiled and said, "Get ready, we have to go."

"Go where?" Hadn’t they just arrived? She still wanted to rest!

"No time." Asher pointed at the wristwatch he was wearing. "The shoot starts in the evening. You still haven’t prepared for the role yet, but thankfully, you’ll shoot later. So, we will first have you prepared and relaxed for the first couple of days. You can watch others perform until then."

When talking about serious things, Abigail nodded as all the traces of anger vanished from her face without a trace. She instantly entered the shower area and increased her pace to bathe. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

What she didn’t know was that the man was still standing leaning against the basin, staring at her shadow through the curtains. It was almost as if he could make out her form through the cloth as she rubbed her body clean.

After a few minutes, she poked her head out again only to find Asher gone. Her shoulders relaxed as she walked over to the wardrobe attached and shut the door behind her.

Now then... What should she wear? She was Olivia, and thus, she should make do with something elegant, right?

She scratched her head in confusion and finally looked at the phone that she had left on the stand.

Ah, she had left her phone here when she was wearing clothes earlier. Since she couldn’t think about it, she should just call someone. Before she could think about whom she was going to call, Owen’s call came through.

The phone accidentally fell to the ground in a hurry. Thankfully, it wasn’t a video call as she sighed upon seeing it turned on.

"Abigail? Are you alright?" Owen’s voice was laced with traces of worry as he asked, "Did you fall or something?"

"No," Abigail picked up the phone and headed toward the female outfits at the side, asking, "Ah, will you help me with something?"

"Sure."

"Help me choose an outfit for the shoot today!"

Since he was her doctor, he should help her with the things that made her anxious even more, right? Abigail didn’t feel in the least bit awkward upon talking to her doctor entirely naked.

"Uh, okay." Owen wanted to know actually if they would have the session today, but it looks like she was busy. Thus he planned to hang up the call after helping her get rid of her anxiety. "Have you never chosen your own clothes before?"

"Nope." Abigail glanced at the clothes and frowned. "Should I wear something formal? It’s my first day of work..."

"Then who would you choose for you?" Owen thought about it and replied to the second question, "Something in between. Not too formal, but not too casual."

"Okay!" Abigail finally selected an outfit and said, "Thank you very much! You were of great help!"

"Well, if I hadn’t called you, who would have helped?" Owen felt helpless for this patient of his all of a sudden. But he knew that patients with anxiety and mood swings at its worst were similar to her. They wouldn’t know what to do and would become anxious at the slightest things.

"Mom, of course!"

By mom, Owen knew she was talking about Rosa, not Chloe. Thus he nodded and said, "About your book. Where did you actually get an idea about that story?"

Uh....

Why was he asking that question? Did he doubt the authenticity of that story?

No... he should be suspicious of her, right?

The more Abigail thought about it, the more she became anxious. She licked her lips and accidentally blurted out, "It’s my own life story!"

Oops.

Damn it!

What the heck did she do?!

"No... I mean... I-"

"No need to explain." Owen was calm as ever as if he hadn’t heard something so impossible for a doctor to believe. "I know."

"Huh?" Abigail was completely stunned as she heard him. "You... Know...?"

Owen wasn’t as blind as Nicholas and Asher. He knew something was off just by feeling that the story portrayed in that novel felt familiar. Even though he didn’t get a headache or flashbacks, he already had a few theories about it.

Perhaps, that novel was about their past lives and he was also there, although he didn’t know what his name was. It didn’t matter. But this wasn’t why he wanted to talk to Abigail about it.

He urgently wanted to do her counseling session because of her moodiness. It seemed that according to that story, the woman’s bipolar developed in her previous life because of her mother.

The child Abigail was completely fine, but as a teenager, when she didn’t receive enough attention, she became arrogant and haughty, going against her mother at every turn and creating messes for Chloe to deal with.

Thus, without even thinking twice, Abigail was directly thrown into the asylum where Abigail’s situation worsened.

Whether it was because of her mother’s command to the doctors to make her go crazy or something else that triggered Bipolar in her, no one knows. But Owen knew that this guy, Silas, indeed made sure to treat her nicely. Without his presence, she would have indeed gone crazy enough to jump off a building.

But.... If that novel was true, those things would have happened. Even if it didn’t, the severity of Abigail’s situation was already worse.

Thus, like a good doctor, he suggested, "I would still recommend you spend a few days in the hospital. Once you have recovered enough, you can go."

"But..." Abigail pursed her lips and said, "Owen, I promise. Once I return, I’ll get myself admitted to the hospital first thing! But right now... This role is important to me."

"I understand..." Owen tapped his finger on the table and said, "How about you increase your doses? You made a mess again, didn’t you?"

"How did you know?!" Abigail felt like Owen was more and more like her own doctor, guessing what she had been through just like that.

How can he not know? Those pills weren’t enough, but he also didn’t want his patient to depend fully on those pills at the same time. So he knew she might have gotten too angry and destroyed something or the other. He wasn’t interested in knowing what it was she had destroyed, but he wanted to treat her fully.

Thus, he advised, "I’ll send you some prescriptions. Along with that, just start breathing exercises online to calm yourself more."

"Okay!" Abigail was so happy after talking to her doctor that she yelled at her phone. "Owen, you’re a God!"

Outside the door, Asher had just wanted to knock on the wardrobe door when he heard those words crossing through the space between the door and the ground. He frowned.

This Owen again?!
