The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 147: Let’s Start!
Abigail soon met with Susan, who was busy doing her director’s work. The woman’s straight black hair was tied above her head as she talked to her staff members about God knows what. The moment the director heard of Abigail’s arrival, she left the staff members and walked over with a smile. Then she patted the young woman’s shoulders.
"So, Olivia, are you ready?"
"Yes." Abigail nearly forgot about her role as Olivia and jumped up and down. She curbed her desire to jump and smiled. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"Good girl." Susan was extremely satisfied with this villain in her movie. She felt like she found a gem in the form of Olivia, and once the movie was released, everyone would see the birth of a talent. And this actually happened in her movie, which made Susan feel her heart bursting with excitement.
Asher looked at the scene from a distance and leaned against the wall. His eyes warmed as he continued to stare as the women talked constantly about what they would do. Abigail listened like an obedient woman and nodded, still pretending to be Olivia.
But Asher could tell that the woman was trying to hide her real self. She constantly flicked her fingers and bit her nails in anxiety as she nodded, still pretending to be normal.
Asher’s eyes softened. She was really a bit adorable.
Finally, done discussing the scene, Abigail felt like she understood Lily a bit more after talking to the director/writer herself. She felt like a burst of energy yearning to perform her duty well as she took a deep breath and said, "Well then, when should we start?"
"Just wait a bit and let Rebecca arrive first." Susan looked at her wristwatch and frowned. "Why isn’t she here yet?"
The scene they were going to play was a small meeting between the female lead and the villain before the woman became one. Since the female lead was a doctor, she had also treated the villain’s wounds and felt extremely sad after seeing the little girl being bullied by her classmates every single day.
They had a very good bond of a doctor-patient relationship, and the female lead sympathized with the girl more and more. Thus, the current scene occurred where the woman was advising the girl to run away to some NGO or something. They would surely help a young woman who was suffering from several bullies and had no backing whatsoever, not even parents.
Ah, Lily’s family was also terrible. Her father was rich, no doubt, but money had surely blinded his eyes because he married a cunning woman who would often use her beauty to get the man to do a few things for her, a terrible one at that. She was also the one who often urged her children to bully Lily more and more because the girl was useless.
Not only that, because the stepmother didn’t want the child of the late first wife of her husband to grow and become successful, she made sure that the girl would become mentally weak. For that, she would often secretly feed the girl some ancient herbs that reduce your mental strength and make you more prone to mental sickness.
Her background was mentioned in the first few minutes into the movie, making you sympathize with the villain at once. Even the female lead wouldn’t be any different, and would feel her heart dropping at the sight of the little teenager covered with injuries from head to toe once every few days.
Once an injury heals, another one appears in that place, never letting the young woman’s body go uninjured. The female lead wanted to help the girl, but she could do nothing when even Lily didn’t want to be helped.
This was the scene they had to play. The female lead offered help, but the villain refused to say a single word, sitting there in a daze as if Lily hadn’t heard a single word. Thus, the female lead could only let the girl go.
After this, the scene changes to the moment when the rapists attack Lily, and her second personality takes birth. But that was for the latter. Right now, Abigail just wanted to headstart her role!
Actually, back at the welcome party, she hadn’t seen the male lead around because, for some reason, he hadn’t appeared. And when she came that day, it was still Rebecca who was supposed to shoot first, so Abigail still didn’t know who would be the male lead of this movie.
Just as she was thinking about it, Rebecca appeared as she nodded and smiled once she saw Abigail standing there. She walked over and said, "Ready to shoot?"
Abigail also nodded with an indifferent expression on her face, fully immersed in her Olivia role. "Sure."
Rebecca smiled, but behind her smile, there was a trace of hidden danger that flashed past her eyes for a second, but the next moment, she returned to normal as if nothing had happened. Abigail also failed to notice that a trace of danger was hanging above her head like an invisible sword ready to smash her head into pieces.
Abigail nodded and walked toward Asher, sitting by his side on the couch as she opened up the script on her phone. Her expression was serious as she continued to read her lines.
It took a while before they could start. No one standing there had a good expression once Olivia appeared. Sure, they all received a warning from Asher back then during the welcoming party, but how could they forget about her so easily? She was the one who stole the man’s heart and soul in the first place! How dare she climb onto his bed for this role?
Thus, everyone looked at her with a stinking eye, ready to shoot glares.
Of course, Abigail was so immersed in her reading that she didn’t notice it. Only two people were witnessing this event: Asher and Rebecca.
Of course, Asher was angry, so much so that he wanted to kill them all. Thus, he glared back and only then did a few staff members become well-behaved. On the other side, Rebecca acted as if she wasn’t a bit disturbed and only looked at those people.
Then, she averted her eyes and continued reading her script.
