The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband-Chapter 574: He is a fairy
"That’s weird." Tricia laughed off, her smile stayed on her face. She was nice enough to walk Abrielle and Cedric to the door. The shop wasn’t busy at the moment and they were the only ones around.
"Thanks for coming, but if you are interested...the memorial service is tonight, a lot of fans will be there. Mum wants Hazel to be surrounded by fans and loved ones." She chimed in at the door,
"Thank you for the invitation. We would love to be there." Abrielle said, holding Cedric’s arm, but her grip was a bit too tight. Tricia nodded just as she was about to wave them off. Something popped into her mind.
"Mrs Blackwood.." She called Abrielle by the substitute surname she was using. Abrielle paused then glanced at her. "Yes,"
"The movie is still at the box office. I just thought I should tell you." She said then walked back into the store. Tricia didn’t know why she said that. ’ The Priestess and the Dragons ’ was a popular box office hit. But something made her tell them, she secretly hoped they saw the movie.
Abrielle was stunned for a moment then her eyes sparkled. "How can I forget?" She fumbled herself then pulled out her phone to book tickets.
Cedric curiously watched her, "What are you doing?" He asked, standing next to her. He was starting to find the stares unnerving. Passersby were blatantly staring at them; he could even hear some girl whisper about his looks.
"How can some be so gorgeous?" One squealed, stealing a picture of him. He glanced at his wife who had grown immune to his looks. She was scrolling on her phone until her eyes sparkled.
She grabbed his hand, "Let’s hail a taxi. I already got tickets." Abrielle pulled him into a taxi which just stopped for them.
She immediately gave the driver instructions before turning to puzzled Cedric. "We are going to see the movie." She said, she didn’t explain much because it felt weird to the driver. Abrielle remembered the day she died, her best friend Kimberly mentioned a live-action was being produced.
She remembered signing the contract with her editor before she died. The movie had been out for a while and was still at the box office.
They arrived at the mall, which was bustling with people. Cedric grew more amazed as they wandered the path. "You know staying in this world won’t be so bad." He casually mentioned and Abrielle rolled her eyes.
Their appearance immediately drew attention. Cedric’s height was hard to ignore at first. Abrielle tried to ignore it, but after running into a guy flirting with Cedric, she lost it.
"He is married and he isn’t gay." She snapped then pulled him away. Why would someone mistake him for gay? She gave Cedric a good look. He was even more good-looking than her
An arrow shot to her poor heart. Where are they ignoring his ring? "We still have some time. Let’s take a detour." She announced and then pulled him into a clothing store.
She took Cedric to the waiting area where other ladies’ spouses were waiting, too bored to follow them to the shop. "Please wait for me, I will be back soon." She said and left without a reply from him. She just shoved a pack of biscuits at him like he was a child.
Cedric’s lips twitched as he watched his wife’s figure disappear into the crowd. Now she was treating him like a child because he was ignorant of the world.
"Sir," he heard a soft voice by his side. Cedric glanced at the small girl tugging his jacket. She looked around 5/6 years old. The moment she saw his face her eyes sparkled. "Are you a fairy?" The girl gushed.
Seeing her bright eyes, he awkwardly laughed, rubbing his neck. "I am not a fairy. Where is your mother?" He asked, a bit concerned..
"Really, Mummy said fairies are handsome just like Mister." She exaggerated, then pointed at a man sleeping on a nearby bench. "That’s my daddy. Mummy went to get something, and Daddy was too exhausted from work." She explained, her eyes set on Cedric.
Her stomach grumbled, she nervously grabbed it. Cedric offered his biscuit. The girl’s eyes lit up and faded quickly. "Sorry, I can’t accept it. Mummy and daddy said I shouldn’t eat from a stranger." She explained, then glanced at her father, who was still fast asleep.
"Laura..." A female voice called. The little girl glanced away then ran to the woman. "Mummy, I found a fairy." She excitedly said pointing at Cedric. Her mother’s gaze fell on him, and she gasped. "He is indeed a fairy."
Her remark made Cedric laugh. His soft laugh made them smile. "I am sorry if my daughter caused you any trouble." I apologise. She could determine from his clothes and demeanour that Cedric was influential.
"No, it’s fine." I shrugged. The mother nodded, her eyes drawn to her husband, who was hopelessly asleep. She had the urge to slap but held it back. How could they be so careless?
"Thanks for watching Laura. Are you waiting for someone?" She asked walking over to wake her husband..
"My wife," Cedric answered. He could already spot Abrielle, who was coming back. "Your wife." The lady blurted.
"Yes, she is already here." He said then walked up to Abrielle. The lady was surprised, Cedric looked like a rich university student, and yet he was already married. She was even more stunned at the ginger lady he walked up to with a smile
"Mummy, his wife, is also a fairy." Laura chimed. The mother nodded. The wife was even younger.
Abrielle beckoned Cedric to lower his head. She then put him in a pair of shades and a face mask. She made sure to pick your ugliest ones, but she got shot in the heart again.
He still looked good in them. "I give up." She sighed then angrily left. Cedric didn’t understand why she was angry when he was on his best behaviour.
They went to the cinema, and the movie was on by the time they arrived. The entire movie Cedric’s brows were twitching. Abrielle could only laugh at him as they sat in the back. "Was I truly meant to be this stupid?" He whispered displeased.
Abrielle nodded hiding her laugh..his face was cracking her up
