Zane sat upright on the bed, arms folded behind his head, still trying to wrap his head around how casually Sera had barged into what was clearly not her room.

He heard the soft click of the bathroom door and the rustle of fabric.

"...Are you changing in there?" he called.

"Obviously," Sera's voice replied.

"You do realize this is my room, right? My bed, my mirror, my—" The door swung open.

Sera stepped out, now in a loose-fitting set of sky-blue pajamas adorned with tiny gusts of wind patterns swirling across the fabric. Her silvery hair was loosely tied up, and she padded barefoot across the room like she'd done this a hundred times before. frёewebηovel.cѳm

Zane blinked. "Wait, wait—are you seriously sleeping here?"

She gave him a look like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Yeah."

He sat up straighter. "You're sleeping here?"

"Yep." She flopped beside him on the bed, tugging the sheets like they were hers.

Zane stared at her. "You do realize if someone walks in and sees us like this, they're going to get the completely wrong idea?"

Sera shrugged, smirking. "Let them."

Zane ran a hand down his face. "I'm going to be on some academy watchlist before classes even start."

"Relax, Zane," she said, already curling up against a pillow. "Besides, you've slept in worse places, right?"

"Yeah, but not with a walking trouble magnet sharing the bed."

"Aw, you do think I'm magnetic."

"...That's not what I said."

"You didn't deny it though."

He groaned, grabbing the spare pillow and thumping it down over his face. "Void, give me strength."
